please dont do that! Just replace de filter! Some air filters are single use only - if it gets too dirty you can only replace them - and cannot be washed because it damages the filter fabric.
this is why it be tested. Rather than paying papers replacement. Recycling will save the environment. Will save you money too. Ive tried this and it works. Materieals are not entirely paper btw

I imagine it’s partly true but yeah this experiment went pretty well and it held up very good after a long 24 hour soak, a 2 hour blast in the hot dishwasher and another 24-48hrs in a bleach solution !! These filters are tougher than you think most likely because manufacturers wouldn’t want them falling apart and going into your engine that’s a huge liability right there. I also reckon they partly say don’t reuse it so the companies create far more revenue from replacements as you would lol💥.

Higher demand drives higher production output, and lowers production cost by using a more inferior grade paper material, long as it meets OEM or minimum specification.

I just rotate two knf filters, time to switch? I’ll clean the old one and leave to dry in garage pop in the previously cleaned one. By the time I have to swap it for the clean one it’s already been dried and oiled up.
The title of the video is wrong, it should be car engine filter. And you don´t need to add fragrances to it unless you have a living and breathing engine which you love so much you don´t want it to breath smelly air. But I add some essential oil drops to my cabin air filter, which you most likely meant.
And that´s not a bad thing. You really want as many parts as possible to stick to the filter. I always spray new engine air filter with silicone oil and repeat it occasionally so it attracts more particles.
Far out too long process , quicker if you buy a proper washable filter in the first place as you spray cleaner, wait 15min, wash out, then air dry and done (a lot of washable filters don't need oiling anymore) 👍
Epic fail I'd say. Just compressed air woulda done a better job and taken no more than 2 minutes. Assuming you have access to compressed air. You can see plain as day it's still filthy between the ridges where air is being constantly drawn.

I spent my career in automotive filtration. This may be entertaining, drive views and comments. It isn't worth the effort and is not good for your engine. It is about as effective as a K&N filter.
I’m more impressed this knuckle head solid all this in the kitchen and dishwasher I bet he does oil change, no gloves and then just wipe his hands and go straight inside house opening every si hole door u til he gets to the fridge and get a drink, then wonder why I feel sick
His kitchen, his equipment and he clearly stated numerous times this was just an experiment and he didn´t know if this would work. And if you ever attempted to change oil you would know it´s quite easy to not spill the oil over your hands, if you use your brain, that is. I never use gloves and never get oil on my hands.

You can buy 20 filters with the time and energy you put into cleaning that filter.
It's gross to even use the kitchen to do that.
Just blow it out with an air nozzle every oil change and tire rotation. Works great!
