- Clean your paper/viscous air filter with petrol and give it a new life.
Sometimes, you may want to clean the filter instead of replacing it.
Warning: Risk of fire when handling petrol. Try this at your own risk!
Thanks, this is useful. Here in Portugal a new filter for a Honda Vision scooter costs €17.00 and with travel on dusty roads I need a clean filter after 500km. So for half a litre of petrol this is a winner. I will do 2 or 3 filters at the same time.
17 dollars whoa in india its like 4 dollars or even less in a routine service recommended by company.
I just wash mine with dishwasher and wome water not very wome and i use more cold water and is working very nice😊
Literally just use any solvent, there's no reason to use expensive and dangerous gasoline.
I clean mine with beer than piss on it and it works great good as new ;)
😂😂😂😂
I piss in my gas take to clean the carb!
Given the price of petrol - probably just cheaper too buy a new filter
😂😂😂
Again,it is not easy to buy air filter in a certain type of motorcycle
@@lejugertell me about it’s a bitch and a half to find a air filter for a like 150i. Why not buy foam cut it to size a boom.
filter price isnt 60 pesos a liter of gasoline
I'm sure the characteristics of the filter have changed. Better try a foam filter equivalent.
Thankyou
Thanks for the tip!!! was thinking of replacing my filter but I'll try this first!
It could harm your quality of filter and filter gasket. Just buy new one wht taking risks
You could try buffing pads cleaner spray.
Nice one 👍
It's cheaper to buy new filter instead of using so much petrol
no , mine bike filter cost 300rs and 100 rs petrol enough i think and can be used to clean other parts like under body of bike and chain
@@csstudent-W8 if that method is cheaper, you can do that. Although, please don't use petrol to wash the bike chain. It is hard solvent. It does more damage than good.
@@abhishekpareek1918 okey atleast remove oil stinks from engine of that petrol and side stand dirts
With the cost of gasoline, & your labour, It would be cheaper to buy a new filter.
in some countries, with recession and economic collapse; filters are very expensive. In Sri Lanka, a Honda XR 250 air filter is Lanka Rupee 24,000. Poorest 60% household monthly income is Lanka Rupee 26,000. Just to put things in perspective....
Interesting...
Itna sa air filter k liye kaun apna mahenga petrol use karega bhai..
Let s watch
Waste of petrol 😂
Mate... Wear some gloves.
