idk alot about diy stuff or electronics so i was pretty confusedduring the video, but it was explained wayy better than alot of diy channels. you know how to teach thru youtube and that is very good. your presentation is perfect for ppl trying to learn instead of seeing some dramatic vid

A reverse function has always been available, in order to configure your board to do so, you want to use CURRENT in the vesc tool instead of using Current No Reverse.
Yes of course, but with the remote you don't even need to do anything in the VESC tool, its all built in to the remote
Just a note** that's only if you get the UART version, the ppm version for non vesc's will not have reverse functionality even though still compatible with vesc.

@@wallahiiii5364 yes he bought it long ago,,,there was just some delays because the owner of mboard had surgery so there was delays to orders but luckily he's recovered and all the shippings have been fullfilled
Yeah it took us 9 weeks to get the battery, but it finally came and it was good to see mikes vid about the whole situation
Would the ABEC 110's be a suitable wheel choice if I wanted to do some light offroading? E.g. gravel bike trails?
The ABEC 107's although very large, would probably not be the best option for gravel. If it were compact dirt or grass then they work fine. It all depends how loose the gravel is. The looser, the harder for any wheel to go over. I know the slick revolution Foamier are coming out pretty soon, those may work a little better, but I have never tried them, just a guess. slickrevolution.co.uk/product/slick-revolution-120mm-foamies
LOL rubber seal for the “conduit” (actually cord fittings) goes on the outside but hey nice build
cheaper to buy a premade one. but nice to make something yourself and that way its easier for you to replace and upgrade as you did it. But easy to f it up too
But have you had a problem with the led and its battery box falling off due to vibration
DIY is certainly no longer the cheaper route for high end boards. The LED's do have issues sticking
when in the vesc tool for the remote u choose normal ppm correct? or do you choose one of the other 3 options?

That battery pack is very expensive ... probably half the cost or more. If one were to buy the battery cells and make their own 10s 4p pack it would cost closer to 250 bucks and thats the top Li ion cell available.

Cool build! I just bought a pintail deck to build a board with similar specs. I notice that you use 6354 motors. I weigh about 220lbs. is that motor(dual setup) enough to get a performance similar performance? Or given my weight, would it be better for me to use 6374 motors instead? BTW, I think that pintail deck is a great commuter board setup.
I would go with dual 6374. I personally don't like the pintail as much as a downhill, but everyone has their style
Hey sorry to take time out of your day ik you're super busy I was just wondering I want to buy a lycaon gr battery to replace the battery on my Wowgo 2s. The specs for the lycaon battery are 18650 cells in 10S3P 36V 7.5Ah 270Wh and for the wowgo which I want to replace are 36V 10S2P. I want the range of the lycaon battery to upgrade my current board and was wondering if using the lycaon battery which is more powerful (about 15 km more range) will fry my esc, motors or anything and was wondering if the battery is compatible. If you do take time to respond thank you so much and if not thanks anyways love the vids, got a new sub!

Not that I know of. You would have to just buy a new hub and a tire
Do you have to reprogram a vesc when the hall sensors get disconnected or only when the battery gets disconnected?
Not when battery gets disconnected, we usually re program any time connection between the VESC and motor is disconnected (phase wires or sensor) just to be safe

if u wanna power your LED from your battery, you could use a Buckdown Converter !
Step down converter or buck converter, not both of them mixed..

on yours though if you press backward on your throttle does it slow you Down?

Got the anti spark switch from flipsky and it worked turning everything on while testing everything. So I disconnect the switch to fit everything back in the enclosure, plug it back in and it powers right up without the button. And theres no light lit on the button either nor will it shut it off without unplugging it. Is this switch faulty?
That is very odd, I have never heard of anything like that. I would take everything apart and put it back together again

Building this board but unfortunately stuck on the PPM Pulselength mapping step. The VESC tool isn't showing any movement however I can still operate the remote forward/backward. Anyone have any ideas?

I don't think that your are meant to do any pulse length mapping within the VESC tool. You just say that its PPM and then after, you plug in the receiver. You do the throttle calibration within the VX2, there's a setting for it.
How does it compare with an Evolve GTR in your opinion?
It has the same battery as the GTR, 10s4p with Samsung 30Q cells so they are similar in terms of battery. The motors on this board are much more powerful that the GTR though. I personally think that this board is better, but its up to what you value. The GTR will have more flex than this, as the battery is flexible. Hope this helps answer the question
The dual 6.6 esc you used from flipsky is that the pro or the mini?
The regular 6.6, The pro comes with an anti spark, which probably would've been worth it.

Yes, as there is a switch already build into the VESC.
Would the Vesc ESC work for hub motors?
Yes, we have used it with hub motors and it works just as well!

fascinating build! I'm still researching parts list for my build. Actually, I'm building 2 boards. Do the Evolve trucks provide more stability compared to the trucks from diyelectricskateboard.com?
The Evolve trucks have the reputation of not being stable at high speeds because they are double kingpin. In my opinion, they are stable and are my favorite for diy purposes. Torque boards trucks are not as wide, but are still wider than standard. They’re both great, but I prefer the Evolve. If you’re looking for most stability go with torque boards

One will use the Evolve trucks for commuting and general purpose. the other will be for general purpose and speed. It sounds like I will put the Evolve wheels on the Evolve trucks and the other that is more for speed will be for/street will have the Torque boards trucks with MBS wheels. BTW, can you think of any wheels better than MBS? Thanks again!
What kind of wheels do you want? My personal favorite are the BOA 100mm. I personally find the 100mm mbs wheels a little rough. The BOA's are so so smooth

I followed your build and built the same board using the components in your video. I did a range test yesterday and went 10 miles in M speed with 27% battery left. What speed are you running to achieve a 24 mile range?
Thats very odd... I personaly use a 10s4p Samsung 25R battery (has less range) and 32t and 100mm BOA (worse gearing) and it goes 18 miles with me going full throttle and on very hilly terrain.

Thats strange... Are you for sure using a 10s4p with Samsung 30Q's?
@@DIYesk8Builders Yep its a samsung 10s4p 30q, dual 6.6, 107" wheels, 38 and 15 pulleys. Unless I have some incorrect settings programmed.
What version firmware do you have?
Is there a video where you test out the board? Reliability, Acceleration, Top speed, and Range? I would like to actually see this board do what you say it can.

We have never tried the Samsung 40-E cells. The average cost for one of these is around $1,500 so its not really saving money compared to prebuilt, it is more to get better performance than pre- builts

If you want to run your leds off the board just cut off the aa batteries and solder on a servo connector and plug it in to the receiver. (5v same as 3 aa batteries)
I was thinking of doing that but I wasn't sure if the current to run the LED would be too much, as it is only meant for the receiver which doesn't use much current
@@DIYesk8Builders Typically the bec on most escs supplies 2a to 5a of 5v power. It will run as many leds as you want plus servos and other 5v accessories. We do it all the time on rc cars and drones. You can have the lights on a switch on your remote too. Keep the vids coming, I'm in your area up in Vancouver. 👍

Just buy Evolve AT conversion kit from their website and longer belts. 365-370mm I think. It is super simple and one of the reasons we adore evolve trucks

Vinny F great point! I was considering putting this stuff on my variflex pintail but that’s a pretty springy deck and the battery would probably fly off with any of my trampoline-style hijnks!

You can buy the trucks directly from Evolves website. You can also buy almost identical ones from our online store for slightly cheaper electric-skateboard-parts.myshopify.com/products/double-kingpin-trucks
I couldnt find a fully assembled evolve truck on there site. I had to buy all the parts separately and assemble them.

Flipsky 6.6 does not come with bullet connectors. We soldered our own on

Because its better than a boosted. 8 mph faster, double the range and twice the power

$1400 seems a bit steep. Awesome range, average speed, and you have to build it yourself. You can get a pre-made board with similar specs for far cheaper.

Who GAF about speed? The most important thing should be RANGE.. if I need to explain it the fastest any skateboard should go is 30 mph. No need to go any faster than that on something that you are just loosely standing up on moving across unpredictable surfaces .Now with that out of the way. Let’s see if we can build a 50 mile range board. a board that you can get several rides out of before having to plug it in and recharge it. A board that can climb hills of any steepness without burning up the motors .
if you want to speed get a different kind of vehicle
