      I just got a brand new 2018 MT07 last week ... first thing I did before even riding it for the first time was fit the same Black Widow exhaust that Smiley is using ... Mine went on quite easy, no silicone, leaks a tiny tiny bit at the clamped joints only, is solid as a rock and sounds freaking awesome :) I've put just over 100 miles on it now and the breaking in is going great so far :)

    Do you need Flashtune if you only use the exhaust and original air filter?

    • @HiVizSmiley
      @HiVizSmiley  6 років тому

      As a matter of NEED, I don't know honestly. I would certainly recommend it however. I rode the bike with both the DNA filter and the Black Widow on without being flashed and I could definitely tell that it was going lean, it didn't have the same power it did when it was bone stock. With the tune it'll be as smooth as ever and will have even more low and mid range torque, which is the best part about this engine IMO.

      Mad53n OOOHH BIIIILLLLLYYY! Haha yeah that is definitely an idea I may pursue on down the road. For the last week I've run the baffle in as I work second as a courtesy to the neighbors, and I sure do miss the braap!

    Hey Smiley, what kind of rear stand are you using? I was pretty bummed out that the FZ swingarm isn’t tapped for spools like my R1 was. I have a harbor freight swingarm stand but it’s mediocre at best.

    • @HiVizSmiley
      @HiVizSmiley  6 років тому

      TravFlyer Moto and Airplane channel I can't remember the brand name right off the bat and I'm on my phone so I can't find a link but it's the cheapest one off Revzilla.com. The part that sucks is like you say not having a place to put a spool. I just use the other side of the stand which is a rubber pad to go under the swingarm, works just fine. Wait, I think the brand was trackside or something like that. I'll update later man, thanks for the continued support

    • @HiVizSmiley
      @HiVizSmiley  6 років тому +1

      This is the exact one. 60 bucks and nothing fancy but it gets the job done.

    Hey man great video, baffle out makes this thing sound mean! I was just curious if you could send me a link to the exhaust and tuner that youre running. i cant seem to find a website in the states that sells the black widow system. any help would be super appreciated!

      @HiVizSmiley  4 роки тому

      I'm sorry I never did put any links and I can't right now on my phone. The only place I've found the exhaust is on EBay just search for it and it seems Revzilla and a few other places carry the flash tune kit

    • @HiVizSmiley

      I have no idea on fitment. The only place I've found these exhausts is on EBay and there is a bunch of different muffler options

  • @JackSauphalot
    @JackSauphalot 6 років тому

    How did you go about fixing those leaks? I'm still deciding between a Black Widow or an M4 exhaust, and I'm skeptical about the design quality of the Black Widow now.

    • @JackSauphalot
      @JackSauphalot 6 років тому

      Correction, what type of silicone did you use? lol

    • @HiVizSmiley
      @HiVizSmiley  6 років тому +1

      It was Permatex, the high temp sealant with copper specifically, worked like a charm. I wouldn't be too terribly worried really, 90 percent of my trouble was self inflicted.

    • @JackSauphalot

      Well nobody is perfect and I'm far from it. Hopefully when I get my black widow on, it'll go smoothly. Thanks man.

      @HiVizSmiley  6 років тому +1

      I have no idea, which hopefully you've got it installed by now and didn't need it. It was easy enough to find at home depot if you were to run into the same issue it's not terribly hard to overcome.

    • @alexwotherspoon5630
      @alexwotherspoon5630 6 років тому +1

      Hi-Viz Smiley all fitted with no broken bits pmsl 😂 although it was a total pain in the arse to line up without touching the back wheel...... Now all I have to do is not get pulled over by the UK police for noise pollution 😂😉👍

    Great to see your videos again! The baffle out definitely sounds better on video. What's the longest you've ridden your bike in one go?

    • @HiVizSmiley
      @HiVizSmiley  6 років тому

      Thanks man, you're the best! I honestly never do any long rides on either one. I plan on doing some 2-4 hour round trip rides when it cools off but that'll probably be the extent of it. The CRF's seat is awful, and the wind blast is terrible on both at highway speeds. Of course, the wind of the FZ is worse most of the time because I'm on average doing like 20 mph faster, and it honestly wears me out hanging on the bars for that long.

      Tuddex Hi, I can share my opinion on the exhaust. I just bought the 200mm exhaust for my MT-07, I have the baffle in and it is LOUD (nice sound but a bit loud for my taste). If I could choose again, I would have ordered the 300mm instead.

    • @Tuddex
      @Tuddex 6 років тому

    • @HiVizSmiley
      @HiVizSmiley  6 років тому +1

      I have run 80% of the time without the baffle, and it's probably going to stay that way from now on. With the baffle in it has the same great tone, it just gets turned up to the max with it out. It's loud, there's no nice way to put it, but it sounds SOOOO good I can't help it. If you had bad/complaining neighbors it would be tough but I don't care so that's no issue for me. As far as taking it in and out, it's super easy. There's a little rubber plug on the bottom of the muffer at the back you take out and there's one 5mm Allen bolt that holds it in. Take the bolt out, pull the baffle out, put the bolt back in the baffle so you don't lose it and put the rubber plug back in the muffler. Literally takes 60 seconds, couldn't be easier! Thanks man, let me know you need to know anything else!

    When you did your review you told us that the transmission is a bit chucky and you hear the clicks, do you still hear it with that new exhaust and do you feel it hard when you shift?

    • @HiVizSmiley
      @HiVizSmiley  6 років тому +1

      Yes and no. I do still feel/hear it coming out of neutral into first, and from 2nd to first, although not nearly as noticeably. The same goes for all the other gears and noises, but they were quieter than 1st and 2nd to begin with, and are mostly drowned out with the exhaust now. It never bothered me much before and it still doesn't now, but I as a habit seek out any noises like that to make sure nothing is rapidly going wrong, like a engine knock or something to that effect. Therefore, I probably notice stuff like that more than the average guy/gal.

      I hate them but hate the smoked tailights too so I'm stuck with them for now. I probably will go through all the lights as my last set of upgrades for the FZ. I'm happy with it at this point. Nice to see you back homie!

  • @Sicksan14
    @Sicksan14 6 років тому

    Seems you just bought cheap shit, and half assed the installs.. After watching your videos and seeing the fading anodized [parts, the mirrors falling off.. I ask my self, why people buy this shity and say " ill just buy another for 30$ @! " could have spent 60$ and had a good product you didn't have to replace.

    • @HiVizSmiley
      @HiVizSmiley  6 років тому

      Don't I make that clear though? I mean I completely agree, and I try to convey that on camera. I also done an overview of all the mods up to this point in a later video and I'm completely honest about that. I think if I was taking all of this super serious I could be called out for being an idiot, but I say it first and try to be clear when stuff probably cheap junk.
