My chick are of 18 days but looks like they are of only 1 week old please help
Hi! Firstly, how old were the eggs when you set them? 🙂 Sometimes when eggs are older, it takes longer for them to hatch and develop. Even with an old egg, you should’ve seen more development by now. I hate to say this, but I think the most likely scenario is that they died around 1 week of development. 😞 Do you see any movement at all? Typically when they die, you should see a blood ring around them but no blood vessels. Sometimes you see a thick straight line inside of a ring. @@CedarShadeFarm The first egg was 13 day old and the last was only 1 day . They were hatched by broody hen
@@raptoraseels2805 Was she sitting on them the entire time, or laying a clutch them coming back to sit when she was ready? 🙂 My silkies are usually more interested in sitting, so start sitting as soon as they lay their first egg. Then they lay an egg every day and continue sitting the entire time resulting in eggs that are at different growth stages. 🙂

@@raptoraseels2805 ok good! In that case all should be developing at the same time. But, sadly I think that means they probably passed around Day 7. 😞 I’d leave them a little longer and candle again in a couple days just to make sure, but it sounds to me like they probably aren’t good. Did you notice blood lines or rings when you candled?
