I have to watch it to form my opinion, but I can agree with you. I think the issue with getting an endgame type movie is that we have never experienced it with superhero films... and now expect the quality for each film. Like you mentioned, some films are just meant to connect the dots, like certain comics. Every comic can't be under the red hood, but it's the expansive stories that are told that people like. I'd rather wait another couple of years/films to get a quality payoff than get what the DCEU as a whole has done (even though it's getting better).

Comics explained made my love the cosmic back story of the MCU and that is why I am excited for this film. Your breakdown of the Cosmic hierarchy and history of the cosmic beings made me love this side of Marvel and I can’t wait to see it on the big screen, even if it’s through the eternals.

No one even knew who the GOTG were before the movie...the difference here seems to be that Eternals the movie might just not be any good. I was never hyped for it to begin with, but I’ll withhold judgement. MCU really just needs to give us the X-Men.
Eternals always had a “Meh” level of excitement level for me when it was announced. The trailers got me a bit more hyped but it’s still not on the top of my list for phase 4. I still hope it sho Roses me though

Who, outside of serious comic nerds knew or cared about the guardians of the galaxy before the movie? Marvel takes obscure characters and brings them to the forefront and makes them popular. They’ve done it again and again. That’s why everyone should go into eternals with a sense of optimism that it’s gonna be another marvel home run.
Tom is never gonna be Spider-Man in my eyes. And it’s not the actors fault it’s the way the character is written. I really hope they make it to where Toby is THE SPIDER-MAN but I know the chances of that is slim to none

Hi Rob, Just one add-in. Also IRON MAN was a Iconic character made so by a famous musician group with an emblematical vocalist. I really think that the amp up to the era of Iron Man was largely influenced by them as there were people who knew Iron Man only from the song and sought to inform them selves of the character. I my self was a fan of their music before i took up interest in Marvel. And that song; it made me look into Tony Stark and sparked my curiosity for more knowledge on the Marvel universe.
As a child I didn't have comic access readily. But I was a fan of super heroes as most young lads. Iron man was a top dog in my world. When the films came out It just made sense that they would make a film about what I assume wasn't an obscure character. My reality was like that at least.
I was probably going to skip the Eternals because I just couldn't get behind the idea that any remotely heroic/empathetic superpowered characters would sit out the Thanos fight and spend a movie being angsty about it. But, you've talked me into giving it a chance. I'll check it out when it hits Disney+.
About the Stark tech issue, it doesn't bother me that much. If Stark might have mentored Peter to be a better Spider-Man, Peter still needs to grow as a scientist and a tech guy. If Dock Ock stays in the MCU, it could be a great way for Peter to have a mentor or at least someone that challenges his intellect and in the long run, we could en up with a Superior Spider-Man kind of movie, that would be pretty neat ! But that's a big if.

Some of us DO care about the Eternals and their place in the Marvel Universe over the years and the same goes for the Inhumans. the eternals movie will be appreciated in a few years or so, it's gonna answer questions from past movies and actually raise questions for feature movies and scene's that'll pop up eventually. idk, I think only comic book fans of marvel and fans of the mcu that's truly invested will appreciate it more than just regular people.

I warned fans of this months ago. It's a very well understood fact in storytelling that if you have limited time to introduce a large number of new characters then what you'll end up with is a very shallow and tedious story. Eternals was always going to need a ton of exposition because of how they've approached it so the movie was doomed from the start. I've literally seen reviews describe it as a special effects bonanza with very little happening as characters stare off into the distance at landscapes. I have no issues with stories that do heavy world building but not at the cost of characterisation as it's the events effecting characters that make the narratives interesting.
Rob if you hire other hosts make sure they match your energy and love comics and talking about them as much as you do. Your unparalleled enthusiasm for talking abouts comics and stuff is part of the charm, anyone really suited to match you at this and do it well would be a rarity indeed.

The Iron spider suit is inspired by the superior spiderman where Doctor Octopus takes over Peter Parker's body & adds the legs to the costume because he's used to having more appendages. If doc Oct is using Stark tech it's because Stark is using doc Oct tech.

The way I look at this movie coming out, is what is to come in the future of the marvel movies. The type of villains yet to come, the eternals are strong and what they can do is a game changer.

The way I look at this movie coming out, is what is to come in the future of the marvel movies. The type of villains yet to come, the eternals are strong and what they can do is a game changer.
