Stop spreading the word that your running for £3 a mile on a 18 ton.your a very nice guy pete and wish you all the best but by telling people your running for £3 mile will only run the bussines to the floor for you and every one.most big companies pay £4 each way so a total of £8 per mile.this is the very reason the industry is going to shit.ive been very blunt but its facts.
Good luck - keep it simple & look after yourself - you do you, don’t employ people or scale you don’t need to - minimise costs always look at where money is going - set a reasonable target - you’ll be fine 👍 Look at euro o/l there is a strong market for a good uk owner driver but once again keep it simple look at the costs etc..

Thanks Pete regarding those kind words about my mum. It's been a very difficult the last few weeks but I've become much more closer to my parents. Also had those very upsetting conversations with mum about after she's gone. But I feel so much better having them. On a much lighter note. Mark & lard we're brilliant. I still listen to of their clips on UA-cam. Fat Harry white is still my favorite and can't believe they got away with it for so long. Nowadays I listen to LBC and Nick Abbot on a Friday & Saturday evening really cheers me up. I download the podcast of the show and take my dog for a walk. I often burst out laughing and get some strange looks off people but I just don't care. What was the name of your new company on the cx so I can contact you.
