Nice! It’s a true icon and we got so many good reactions from people we met on the road. It seems to bring happiness to the people around us! Thank you so much😊😊
......beautiful build.......very nicely done..........would have kept 'downstairs' bed option for times of storms or just to stay up and talk and drink coffee/cocoa .........beautiful views of the mountains..........✨
Thanks for showing this thrilling road movie. Can't get enough of these campervan builds, only missing my latte;) excited to see where the journey goes next!
Really good solutions and ideas! :) We crossed Europe 2 years ago by our T3 and after few months in a van we want to rebulid our interior to make it more handy and comfortable. You give me a lot of inspirations and solutions! Thanks for this movie :)
Hey, thanks! Yeah, these vans are quite easy to work with. And it’s a lot of fun customizing it to your own needs. Thanks for watching - good luck with your project!
Great conversion. Enjoy your journey! If you want a dependable Vanagon trash the vw engine and put in a subaru engine!Best upgrade ever if you have the funds!!
You made a very good job of it. I'm not a fan of people making everything out of thick planks of wood so your Scandinavian minimalist style is spot on. We've had our T3 (T25 in Britain) for nearly fifteen years now so could I make a couple of suggestions? I'm guessing the starter battery is under one of the front seats? Well we put our leisure battery under the other seat. Then you might have space for a spare gas cylinder for when one cylinder runs out and you are really in the middle of nowhere! We use a chemical toilet and put it in a pop up toilet tent outside. Again, good job and some great places you've been to so far.
The van turned out great! I was waiting to see the final result. Boy, that was lots of work done to this van inside out. Very clever minilastic ideas. You even have a closet! Can't wait to see your first adventure. When will you go on a road trip?
Thanks mate :) It sure was a lot of effort put into the build. Pretty good result though, especially as first time builders haha. We’ve actually been one month going through Europe. I lost all the footage, but luckily it’s recovered now and I can start editing the episodes!
Your German in the end is perfect 👌🏻 such a nice conversion. Looks awesome. Looking forward to hear from you guys. Can't wait for the next videos. Take care and travel safe
Haha, well, I don’t know about that! I would really like to learn the language though, it’s not too far from Norwegian actually. Thanks! New videos dropping soon☺️
Looks great. My brother used to have a Bus back in the early 80’s (it was old then lol). It never looked as nice as yours; you’ve done a really good job with it. My brother loved his, but you do have to be prepared to rebuild your engine on the side of the road at unexpected times. At least it’s a simple engine. 🙂
Congrats on such a beautiful take on a wonderful type 25 VW camper - colour scheme inside and out add to the big bright interior .detail looks amazing, wishing you many adventures ☮️
Came across your videos the other day and became very intrigued. Have watched several now and have thoroughly enjoyed watching your adventures. Wonderful stuff. Keep up the good work and wishing you all the very best i n your travels. Regards and thanks....Douglas.
Simon liked your VWagon's Interiors.. ! Please cover the Wiring in the back of your Van because the Hanging might create a Problem.. ! All the Best for Your Coming Tour's.. !👍
I think it's fabulous! I have a lovely T25 getting a new paint job, as I type. She's been in the garage for 4 months due to this virus madness. She should be back with me any day...!
I would not have installed cooker/sink combo have one in my van takes up to much worktop ,if I could have got one from my old t2 far superior and with grill! Nice build though.
First time seeing you folks! Very nice van and very simple but functional design. Is it hard to get into the upper loft bed? I love and always have loved that vw camper van! Look forward to following your adventures!
Cheers!😊 It’s definitely something to get used to, but the table top can deal with us stepping on it as we go up. And as you might have seen, we can flip the last part after we are «upstairs». But the good thing is that we can leave our stuff in the back and have a tidy sofa to enjoy breakfast in the next morning!
Hi Peter :) Thank you! It’s LED lights. Got them from Gowesty.com. I have more information on them in the previous build episode where you also can see before/after result
You made a beautifull T3 , really a great makeover guys! This project of buying a T3 van and go on tour is something I am dreaming of every day, just don't have the money yet. I am wondering what your total cost to the van has been?
Hey, thank you! Sounds just like us a few months back😂 I don’t have a precise figure since we didn’t have much tools when we started and needed to buy a lot. But the van cost about $5500 and the build atleast $6000... And we even painted it ourself wich saved us many $...
Planning on doing a simular tour in my T2 next year ... So i am looking forward to your videos and if any tip/trick on route planning i would like to hear them ;-) Regards Peter from DK
Hello! Everything is done independently. Cool) Congratulations on the completion of construction and the beginning of travel. Norris - what's your van name?
Awesome build. Can you share a rough estimate average daily, weekly and monthly costs for such travel for 2. Then your registration is ND, just wondering what this stands for as the same is used in South Africa for Natal Durban. Appreciate your response and here is wishing you both many more happy, safe and spectacular adventures
Thank you! Our way of travel is really cheap, we spend money on diesel and food, the rest of the stuff we do is usually free. So it depends on how much you drive and how nice food you want. The registration belongs to a region in Norway, so it won't be linked in any way. Take care! :)
Hi guys, thanks for your video, the t3 looks amazing. Iam looking for a fridge for my vw camper but iam struggeling to find one with correct measurements. Yours looks pretty good, what kind of fridge is this?
Hi! Thank you! We found one at a Norwegian store selling all sort of things. Basically just a mini fridge that can switch between 12V and 230V. I’ve heard good things about Webasto and Dometic fridges, but the ones we found were waaay too expensive for our budget
Hello, can I ask for more information about engine I don't know that you make a video but I'm missing I can't find him nothing about how old would you make new etc how far away you can go for full tank thank you so much for any respond and also congratulation for absolutely fantastic job van look a amazing
Loved your van guys! We just finished our 6 months adventure through Europe in our Pingu (also a VW T3)! It was awesome! So bad we didn't meet along the way but we'll see you around for sure! Just one question, did you change the system of your Pop-up? Does it work better like this? Congrats 👏
Thank you so much! Wow, that sounds like a lot of fun. We only had one month, wish we had more. Maybe next time! The roof was like this when we got it, we only changed the tent fabric as the old was worn and torn. I guess it’s more room «upstairs» with this solution, but I would prefer the sloping Westfalia roof.
Hey! Great job! Like it a lot! I have my self VW T3 Westfalia high top version, will change engine to 1,9 Tdi and other stuff. One question about head lights - can you pass technical inspection with them or are they without CE markings. And where did you order them from, maybe you have a link! Thanks and good luck!
Hey man! 😊 Thank you so much. I would love to change engine too, it would be some much fun. They are without CE markings, but gowesty.com (where I bought them), claimed that they are road legal according to European standards. I have the old ones still, so we’ll see....
@@SimonBraeck Will let you know how ot went with my engine conversion. Sad to inform you, but lights are not for Europe. See www.gowesty.com/product/headlight/24538/led-headlights-7-round-pair-?v=
Simon Braeck Thank you Simon. Amazing videos. Great footage and editing. I have a 1986 T3 too. Restoration done on the outside. Interior underway. I did a bit more research and think I have found your seats. Not seen them before. Made by a company called Sportscraft.de. Model no S5.1 www.sportscraft.de/pag_d/produkte/seats/sitzs51.shtml. Just for your info :)
I’m sure this has been asked. Love the videos. What cameras have you been using for this footage? Absolutely stunning footage when watching on our new Samsung 4K UHD tv! We have a 1980 air cooled 2.0L westfalia. Hoping to make some videos this spring on its restoration. Do you do all the editing ?
Thank you, glad to hear that!😃 I use a Sony A7R III and record in 4K. More details are in the description. That’s cool, I love restoration videos. Yes, I do all the editing myself.
Yes for sure, the problem is that we have a 1cm clearance when entering our parking garage, so we have issues regarding adding stuff on the roof. I’m looking into foldable panels, but I’m not sure if the perform worse
Ok here what I thought of I notice above the sliding side door that there is some space on the ceiling/roof you could mount a bracket that folds down and flips out. Down side is you can only use the panel when the sliding door is open or in the back where you have the hanging led light that runs on battery mount it there so it can flip out to use and lay flat against the wall when not in use. Same down side back door has to be open
Ok ok I got it lol. Behind your closet in the back where the control box is some of the window is blocked by the closet and you could see into the closet through the window (you guys covered it I think) well you could uncover it and cover it with the solar panel so that the sun travels through the window. It would be completely out of the way. Down side small solar panel
I rewatched this video I noticed that the glass looks frosted so on the opposite side of the closet is that other window maybe some kind of thin solar panel you can put up and take down its looks like a pretty good sized window. Any way I love what you guys did I love that you guys are tracking and are happy together I hope to one day be like you guys and have a beautiful inspirational lady by my side who makes it fun an enjoyable. Excellent job
I feel bad because I keep bugging you but one more idea. Maybe you can some how build it into the pop up top of the camper. Like a recessed light fixture it would be a “recessed solar array”
That's great guys! Wonderful work and really nice taste of design you put into it. Me and my girlfriend are planning to get a van and customize it in a similar way as you did. Could you please tell us what was the total cost or the investment you had to do to get those results? Thank you and good luck in your trip!
Hey, love your work guys, impressive and luxurious. I wonder if you could give us a hint on where to get such a great pop-up roof, did you fit it yourself or was it fixed when you bought it? Any hint would help. Thx!
@@SimonBraeck Thanks for your reply Simon, I bet they are not easy to get, will keep looking though. What about the tent itself, I think you replaced that one? It looks pretty cool and has lots of “windows” which makes it look quite spacious on your clip. Thanks again and wish you both lots of safe journeys ahead!
Super cool, I've been watching you for a while but you're wonderful, so you can get the car to this stage how much money you need to be ready to go? Thank you in advance for your reply
Hey there - Just a quick question - when it rains - do you keep your pop-top roof up or do you put it down? I am planning on getting a 1985 Hiace Pop-top and would like to keep roof up - but was worried about mould or leaks etc - thanks for your time
It was originally a SCA camper, kind of unusual. The interior and pop-up roof is not as nice as in a Westfalia. So it was a camper van, but needed a lot of work to get it up to date.
Finally!!! Been waiting so long for this van tour. Norris is looking good. Really great work you guys, excited for your upcoming adventures!

T1 & T2 is my dream van. But dont think I could ever afford. I am hoping to find a T3 before the price go sky rocket.
The good thing about the T3 is that it is easily modified and parts are still easy to obtain because of all the niche online stores. Go for it! :)
Amazing!
Thanks! We are happy with the van, still :)

@@mjb2350 yes, we found a canvas that fitted very good. Bought it from busdepot.com, I think it was called Riviera :) Thank you!
Are you going to park it down by the river?
Hi, love the van! How did you attach the shelf at the front end? I can't see how it attaches to the van. Many thanks!
Super cool, I've been watching you for a while but you're wonderful, so you can get the car to this stage how much money you need to be ready to go? Thank you in advance for your reply
i’ve waited years
Haha, it was published later than I wanted to. I lost all the footage from faulty hard drives, but finally got it recovered.
looks great, i’m jealous.
Hey there - Just a quick question - when it rains - do you keep your pop-top roof up or do you put it down? I am planning on getting a 1985 Hiace Pop-top and would like to keep roof up - but was worried about mould or leaks etc - thanks for your time
Hey! We keep it up, but we to dry it out the following day (preferably) to be sure it is kept in a good shape. At least that seems to work for us :)
Was it westfalia originally or simple t3?
It was originally a SCA camper, kind of unusual. The interior and pop-up roof is not as nice as in a Westfalia. So it was a camper van, but needed a lot of work to get it up to date.
