Classic Car and Bike Show at Southport Auto Centre

The annual Car and Bike Show organised by the team from Southport Auto Centre in Wright Street, with all proceeds going to the Southport Lifeboat and MacMillan cancer research.
The star of the show was undoubtedly the Volvo P1800 from the 1960's TV programme "The Saint".
The Volvo Car Corporation had supplied a total of five P1800 models for use on the show. Volvo happily supplied the first one in 1962, registered as 71 DXC, within a week of its being requested.
This was the car on display, interestingly, the boot of the car has been signed by many of the cast and crew from the show.
