- We have had a 4 Moms MamaRoo swing for about 9 months and it quit working. So what do we do, take the whole thing apart and figure out how to fix it. And of course share that with you guys and gals. A simple rubber band/belt had snapped so we are showing you how to permanently fix the issue.

Just took it apart and although my belt wasn’t broke I changed it and it is working. Sure is a ton of screws in this thing though. Thanks!

What size is the o-ring that you used?
We got one gifted to us that had been through three other kiddos before we had it. After a move we noticed that slipping noise and the obstruction warning. Followed this video and that was exactly what was wrong - belt had stretched out. Put an O-Ring on and works better than when we received it! Thank you so much!

My O ring was fine. The issue mine was having was it was giving obstruction code as well. I took it apart like the video showed and cleaned out the gears near the motor and the track the device runs along. Hair and debris was twisting around the gears causing it to seize up. Great video

It can also be a pinched wire. I suggest trying that first. I changed the band, but it still didn't work. I'm still glad I changed it because they obviously wear over time. The pinched wire was right behind the control screen. It was really simple to remedy, although you still have to take the mamarroo apart.
Silly question, but what is a pinched wire? Ours may be having this issue because our o ring is fine
OMG thank you so much I will surely show this video to my husband so he can go fix it! Ours started making those weird popping noises until today it totally will stop n have that weird thing appear on the lcd like yours did. My son literally sleeps on his Mamaroo so we use this alot. @@LadyStitch22 I’ve heard of ppl removing just the swing base and shaving down the sides where it touches, causing that sound.

There's another sensor under the back side of the part that goes up and down looks like a little computer chip with a white plastic thing holding it in place. Under that sensor is a bigger version of the black wheel with the white squares where that belt goes on the motor. That's where my problem lied and I'm just letting anyone else know on all these videos Ive used to get to fixing my issue. Open to messages if need be... Thanks

Thank you for the video. Mines does the same thing, i tried returning it but the 30/60 days return policy had expired.
O ring size: I used a 1 3/4 O.D. x1 9.16in I.D ring(#38) and it was a perfect fit

I bought this exact size o ring and the I.D was a little too big

How on earth did you get the white base back on? I tried for hours and hours trying to put back those long screws into the white base that moves, and could not get it to attach.

My wife an Neo Nadel intensive care nurse brought a momaroo home for me to fix, Lucky me and thanks to your vid your charming wife showed me how to snap the cover off the, Something I wouldn't have tried unless I saw it done. The unit would run for one cycle then STOP but the belt was fine so being an electricain I figured that the motor software was sensing too much resistance. I took some light oil and oiled EVERY moving part, pivot point, and shafts and when I pressed start it worked as good as new. Seems the company was very stingy with the grease and what was applied at the factory was dry and dusty. I hope this might help someone out and thanks for making this vid. BTW the blurred pic on the wall behind you looks EXACTLY like my son no lie.

@@savannahwade820 You could use any light weight oil from a hardware store. You can even find it in a small syringe looking container that will help you get the drops of oil into those tight places. Basically you want to put a few drops on any pivot point or sliding point and that will reduce friction greatly.

Hi, what oil did you use, I know there's some oils/lubricants that can't be used with certain things so just wanna make sure I don't do that
My swing was doing the same exact thing I took the whole thing apart, and nothing was wrong with the rubber band piece. I ended up throwing the whole thing away because when I took it apart, I couldn’t get it back together.
Thank for the info. Tried this and unfortunately it wasn’t a fix for us. I have cleaned every sensor. Still have the issue with it cutting off within a second and flashes with the number 2. Not sure what to do to fix it.

If i disconnected all sensors and motors from the main board, the issue is supposed to disappear, right!?

So i bought a used mamaroo 4. the device works via bluetooth and on the LCD plate, meaning there is not a motion issue. However, my LCD display remains constantly blue when viewing from above, the different symbols dont show on it! any ideas?

How did you take the base off though? It just shows how you took off the middle part but I can’t take off the piece around it (base with buttons) off, the screws did nothing since I can’t take off the base 😭 I’m going to break it on accident I feel ):

If I hold the seat lever release half way, the unit works great and won't stop. But if I take it all the way up or down lock, the unit stops moving.

Mines making a poppong noise as it swings when hes in it. Not so kuch when its empty and running but if theres weight in it it POPs at the same point every rotation
Mine makes a knock noise every time it meets in the middle. I think because my toddler got on it. That’s when it started.

Mine is making a squeaking noise ? Did yours do this before needing to replace the belt ?
Yes mine started with a slight annoying squeaking sound then it started clicking before the belt broke. The belt they used was very similar to a thick rubber band which we use our swing everyday for nap time for 9 months the belt became warped and eventually snapped.
This is what ours started doing 1st and now it is making a popping sound at the end of the cycle it's set on. The outside of ours looks a little different but is probably pretty close to the same on the inside I bet. We shall soon find out if I have to be the one to take it apart myself- lol. My grandbaby stays in this thing and loves it. It has been wonderful so fingers xd it can be fixed. Thanks guys again for your video!

You are correct that’s all I said. What I did was take the swing apart and found the o ring damaged. Removed the o ring and put it back together since I have small kids running around and didn’t want them getting ahold of the screws. Then I took the damaged o ring to a hard ware store and handed it to the employee to help find the right size. I didn’t think to look at or announce the size while doing the video.

My swing and bassinet are moving until about 15 plus pounds are put in and then it flashes and stops...has anyone else had this issue?

I'm in the same boat. Wondering if the motor is worn out. It moves fine when there's no weight on it, but as soon as you put a baby on there, it stops and blinks.

NO lleva pila... si ya verificó las bandas (según éste video) procede a verificar los tacómetros de ambos motores; obvio esto no lo hace un eléctrico es trabajo para alguien dedicado en la electrónica y que esté bien capacitado.

Roe May if you have warranty on it via baby registry or regular purchase you can email them & they will mail you one for free. Mine came in less than a week!
Stupid. Pay all of this money and they use the cheapest parts possible and then you have to fix their company’s problems. It’s absurd how expensive it is and how quickly it fails.
No wonder they’re on 67% off sale. They’re garbage.
