That way it has just the right distance between the flame and the spoon. You can also use two or three different colors wax. Just put the desired colored pellets in the spoon and melt. You can give it a little swirl with a tooth pick to create a marbled effect.
Really interesting. I've only just started getting into wax seals in the last week as a natural progression from my ridiculously excessive fountain pen and ink hoarding craze of the last lockdown year. I'm a complete wax seal noob but have been playing with cheap eBay/Amazon wax sticks, mainly wicked ones, and some J Herbin. I know the latter from their inks and I can already tell the Herbin ones are far better. I have yet to dabble with the glue gun approach. I had that bubbling effect when melting two beads together in a spoon over a flame. The beads were taking too long to melt together and I was doing it two-handed so I had no free hand with which to stir it with a toothpick. Lesson learned was to use some sort of stand over a tealight candle. I have one but was being characteristically lazy.
I can understand the laziness, hah! The wax quality is definitely a concern if you ever use them for snail mail, which is why I generally use Artisaire or Nostalgic impressions’ melting wax

When is the perfect time to remove the stamp? I find that sometimes I try to remove it too early and the wax is still goopy and the seal is ruined, but if I leave it too long I feel like it's really hard to remove the stamp and I'm worried the paper will tear. How do you know when it's the right time to remove the stamp? Thank you! :)
If the wax moves/wiggles at all when you start to remove the seal, it’s not ready! In my experience, with good wax, you don’t have to worry about waiting “too long”. Artisaire wax has some flexibility to it that keeps it strong and in place, even with movement. Some wax formulas are more brittle but you should still not rip the paper 💕
Usually few seconds to 1-2 minutes depending on wax beads you using - I guess you learn that by trial as some beads might take a little longer to dry - don’t give up - keep trying and enjoy the process not just the out come project 💕

The best thing to do and my personal opinion unless you use those handles as some sort of like decoration or display, is just taking use a file or something like that and file a little flat spot onto the bottom of the handle, then just hold it the same way every time holding that flat spot on your thumb or whatever and you'll always have the correct orientation. This is how those steel stamps that people use to stamp into things usually are, they will have a little ridge or a cut or something on the bottom side of the stamp so you can feel that line and know that your stamp is orientated correctly. If need be, you can repaint it back over the top so you can't tell
Hi great video! Thanks for the tips. Quick question: how do you avoid the wax getting congealed on your stamp piece?? I have ruined two stamps in the past and only now (years later) I have mustered the courage to try this hobby again. Any and all suggestions are welcome. Thank you so much for sharing your tips with us!!
Hello! Most likely, the problem was caused by poor quality wax. I have only had this happen to me when I was using cheap, old fashioned wax that is brittle and stiff. That’s why I like Artisaire’s wax-it has a flexible hold that doesn’t break. I have partnered with them over the past few years, but started using their wax before that, just because it is the best that I can find! If wax does get stuck, you should be able to remelt it over a small candle (carefully!), and dab it off with a paper towel
Thank you so much for your prompt and really helpful reply. I did purchase cheaper wax, can’t believe how glorious simple this solution was! Thanks again!!
I have seen those! Glad they work so well for you-I love the wide spoon and have a house full of candles so I haven’t messed with the little burner myself, hah
Cool idea with the glue gun! I'm new to making wax seals so looking for some tips... but it seems wasteful to just push glue through the gun to be thrown away. Is there a biodegradable glue for glue guns?
I haven’t found one yet! In my experience, you have to choose your waste if you want to switch colors. You either waste a little on a spoon but efficiency isn’t great (wasting time), or you can do what I did as a stationer who used wax seals in bulk all the time and buy a new gun every time ($$), or you can waste your new wax color by making marbled seals until the color comes clean ($$$)... or you can waste glue sticks. 🤷🏼♀️ Unfortunately there isn’t a “perfect” way that I have found. If/when I find something better I will definitely report back!
I have an electric tiny glue pot for my excess glue when changing colors from the gun. Then I can use what’s in the pot for anything which needs glueing .
You could expel the glue in seal size puddles and remelt it later while adding a touch of mica powder or pigment to color it, then reuse it for another seal by melting it over a candle. 😎
Hi, I love all your tips! Especially on how to avoid bubbles. Been using a spoon too but I’m more keen to try using a glue gun after seeing your video. May I ask your advice too on how to do seals with small flowers or leaves or stems stamped together on an envelope?
Wonderful!! I will make a full video about the little flowers, but my biggest tips of the top of my head is to have the flowers ready so that the wax doesn’t cool, and to work with dried flowers or flatter petals 💕 good luck!!
Yes it’s an investment piece, but hand crafted pure brass isn’t going to be cheap! I love it because it heats up evenly, is easy to clean and has the double handle so I can melt wax hands free. I use it a lot, so the cost is worth it to me because most other melting spoons I have found are glorified teaspoons, but definitely not a purchase for everyone!
My mom has gotten me some and I don’t think that they are pure brass, but they work beautifully and I know she probably got them cheaper. You can find them online 😊👍🏻
I recently decluttered most of my handles and just kept the brass head of the stamp-saved me a lot of room! Hah but not a solution for everyone, that’s for sure!
I use wax seals for a card sending hobby that I have. I sometimes try to seal around 10 or 20 at a time, if it's christmas or halloween or whatever and I am sending many cards. Lately I have been having trouble with the seal sometimes not easily coming up off of the wax. And if I have to pull too hard the wax and sometimes part of the envelop gets stuck into the seal after I have pulled and I have to burn it off with a candle. This is disappointing and can ruin the effect and even the envelope. This use to never happen. What do you think that I am doing wrong? Thanks
Some wax is thicker than others and I find that using a liiiittle less wax helps with the removal process. But I have never had the envelope stick to the envelope! What kind of stamp are you using? A good quality brass stamp should not melt to the paper...
I was hoping that there would be a tip for a way to make sure all the fine details of your seal come out beautifully... I have a stamp that has some gorgeous little stars on it, but every time I use it, they just come out like little blobs instead! Anybody has any idea how to help with that? Is it an issue with the wax quality? The details on the stamp being too fine? Maybe the wax being too hot?
That problem is so specific to each stamp, that I am creating an individual video for troubleshooting problems. The good news is that you are on the right track! I usually start with checking the wax temperature-if it’s too hot the wax is too “melty” to capture those details. If that doesn’t work, try switching up your wax. A matte wax (usually thicker consistency) will sometimes capture those details better than a metallic. Unfortunately, some details are just going to be difficult no matter what, but I’m sure you’ll a combo that works!
Great question! It’s all in the wax formula! Get quality wax with a flexible formula-avoid cheap Amazon kits-that way when the envelope naturally bends the wax moves with it. I recommend having the envelope hand sorted (costs more but makes it more worry free!) at the post office. And yes, I would lick it still ☺️ extra security is always a good thing!
At 4:41 instead of having the flame leave soot on your spoon, why not put the aluminum foil over part of the class candle, of course, leaving air space. Or just put a thin strip of foil under where your spoon is?
can i deliver my wax seal letters to different countries please reply back i want to know if i want to send out letters i don't want them to be damaged
You “can”, but you will want to purchase the upgrade to have them hand sorted rather then sent through the machine. Each post office handles this differently so make sure you go in and ask what their policy is. But if you want to be extra careful, first be sure that you are using quality wax-some brands are brittle and will break-and I would use an outer envelope to protect the whole letter/seal. Just to be extra careful about the additional travel.
Same tips! I use a little extra wax with square stamps so it reaches each corner, and if you’re extra picky, pour the wax in more of a square shape (though that takes some trial and error and I prefer to let it happen more organically)
Your wax may be too hot! Or your paper too thin. Pull gently on the sides as the wax cools to help flatten everything back down. Once the wax is cool, it will be difficult to change anything
Could u do this stamp with just hot glue, I think I’m going to get a set with wax colors, stamps and a melter, with a spoon..but if u could use hot glue that would be cool.
Hi! I loved this video and the topics you addressed. I sealed with wax many years ago, but I haven't been able to "get back on the bike." I think I'm doing OK with the actual sealing process, but I'm not sure, as I've seen more than one method. I have seen people just wax the upper flap1/2 of the envelope, and while sealing, the other half of wax is sealing onto a coaster of some sort (glass, ceramic, quartz, etc.) When I do that, my second half doesn't stick to the bottom part of the envelope flap when I'm ready to close it. Am I supposed to just seal the envelope closed (both flaps?) and then seal with wax? What if I want to open and close the envelope more than once, for example, to read a letter over and over? I look forward to your expert response. Thanks do much!
Hi Phyllis! So excited to see you jumping back I to wax seals! If the wax cools before it is placed on an envelope (keeping the flap up and on a coaster, as you described), there are super strong double sided stickers that you can purchase that are strong enough to hold the wax seal in place during the mailing process. Once the wax seal is in place, the envelope can be opened but it will, of course, damage the envelope. If you know you want the envelope closed from the start, I recommend stamping your hot wax and seal directly to the envelope. This is the most secure technique
I’m so glad!! If you need/want more guidance, I have a full playlist of wax seal tutorials here: m.ua-cam.com/play/PLkt5ChMuYC9GuT_1JwtSy5blzkT6gqFkI.html
You don’t. The trick is to chill the STAMP on the ice (wipe off any water or condensation) before you place it onto the hot wax to speed up the cool down process of the hot wax. Skip to 1:30 in this video for a visual
hello, I am new to wax sealers and all but I really think it looks beautiful so I want to do this for my business. I am thinking of pre-making these stamp circles for easier/faster access when I need them, is there a special tape I can use to tape it down to the paper or what would you recommend? thank you !
Yes! This is the technique I use in my own business-I use and trust Artisaire’s adhesive: artisaire.com/products/adhesive-backings-50-pack I’ve sent them through the mail with no troubles and it has a very strong hold
Could you elaborate? Some things are normal, some are not! A dark or scorched mark is not normal and is a result of burnt wax (too hot). Rings or subtle waves following the pattern of the wax pour is normal and can be avoided by pouring the wax closer to the envelope or desired service instead of pouring high.
@@katrinacrouch I would say lines/rings. Sometimes almost wet looking patches. I'm using a low temp glue gun so the temp should be good and the nossle is pretty close to the paper.
I would guess that it is still a temperature issue. Allow your glue gun to sit a little longer so that the wax is an even temperature. Those rings are usually caused by uneven cooling times as the wax is poured out. This happens to me a lot when I’m in a hurry! Metallic wax is more prone to these texture differences, but it can happen with satin and matte too
Oh I bet you could! I have never tried it and have limited experience with resin in general, but from what I do know I would advise that you wait and allow the resin to set a little before pouring and stamping. Otherwise you might not form the “lip” around the seal very well. And it might take longer to cool than traditional wax
Where did you get the two handled spoon I have looked all over Amazon eBay all of them and I can’t find it I’d really appreciate it if you could tell me thank you so much
No you shouldn’t let the flame touch! It risks scorching the wax but this is less risky with higher quality wax. I go into more detail in other videos ❤️
Love this video!! For the last tutorial on here (ribbon + wax), what type of wax paper did you have under the ribbon so the seal doesn't stick to the box?
In my experience, the end result looks tacky and unfinished when you use tape, unfortunately! This way you’re hiding the “tool” with the stamp, which is being used to beautify the entire piece. AND you don’t have to get anything extra out in order to do it, which is efficient and perfect for those who are a little bit lazy but want the prettiest things 😉
Hmmm, glossy wax is harder to find! For some reason the trends are going more towards matte with the wax seal companies. Artisaire has a red but it’s more of a satin finish: artisaire.com/sangraia-sealing-wax-sticks-5-pack/ Maybe check Stamptitude? They have a few varieties of wax-I haven’t tried them all but it’s worth a shot! I recommend looking for wax that is a little flexible when you’re testing. I have a few more details here: m.ua-cam.com/video/uZjkwfCTjjI/v-deo.html Bad wax will break, chip or have an oily transfer
Yes, it’s normal to rip the seal or the paper ☺️ historically, that was part of the purpose of a wax seal-to showcase if the information contained was still “private”
Glue gun link broken. Brand & model number, please, of the one you suggest? Sealing spoon link also says Page Not Found. Would appreciate knowing that one, too. Thanks.
Ugh, I’m so sorry-they are changing their website around all the time and I can’t keep up. That’s great!! I have an unusual one planned for this fall but I’m going to try to get at least one more filmed/edited before our twins come in the next week or so-I love wax seal videos too!
Want to save money and get lots of colors to use. Buy only clear or white glue gun sticks and a big box of many color crayons. If you take the wrappers off the crayons you can cut up pieces to add to the hot glue you use. Mix it well in your spoon or on parchment paper or other non sticky surface to mix the glue and crayon wax together. You can vary the mix so the more color you put in it becomes more waxy and non sticky. If you use just glue gun you know how much of a pian it is to pull the stamp off. The crayon has enough wax to get the right mixture for you. Cheers! I forgot to add you can make your own extra wax to have later just mix a stick of glue and 1 crayon in a stick free container or material. You can then cut up small pieces to use in future stamps. This is how you save money on that expensive wax sticks/pieces. You can even add glitter or other eye catching material. You can buy glue sticks, glitter and crayons from a dollar store and save MUCH MORE MONEY!
Interesting... I have never tried it and would be suspect of the two media mixing well enough together to create a consistent color and quality hold, but worth a shot if you’re bored!
@@katrinacrouch Blends easily and fast! You should try it sometime. You can use regular wax abd add little pieces to your hot wax on top to give a solor dofference easily.
Hi great video. Can i use wax seals on surfaces other than paper or material . Im new to wax seals just doing some research really . Im in the beginning stages of natural skincare range so i was hoping that i can use wax seal as my brand label instead of the classic sticker labeling . So not sure if this will work on the lids of my products. Any ideas? Thanks
Yes! You can use wax seals on lots of things! You can even use the stamps on food if you have a brass one. Anything that doesn’t melt with heat is “safe” 😉
You need specifically sealing wax that is designed for wax seals. I recommend Nostalgic Impressions or Artisaire-both brands made a strong but flexible wax. Some wax brands are brittle and will break, or have an oil residue. Think of it this way: candle wax or crayons are literally designed to disintegrate, so they will fall apart easily. Bees wax would be very “on brand” for your skincare range but bees wax has an oil in it that will stain your paper and makes it more likely that it will slide off. You can experiment of course but I wouldn’t invest in the idea too far without testing it out or trying to find a super dry formula… also, doesn’t it melt into a liquid? There needs to be some density to it in order to create the impression. If you’re planning to use this for your brand and not just to play around, then I highly recommend using the proper materials. You don’t want to appear cheap or like you don’t prioritize quality!
where did you get the wax ? Looking got Antique gold. I love the idea of using the glue gun as a ( wax gun ) please link me to the wax and the glue gun !!!
I recommend Artisaire’s wax-from what I have tried, theirs is the best in terms of color payoff and flexibility (good for mailing). I’ve linked their sealing wax page here (antique gold is the first one): artisaire.com/sealing-wax/
@@katrinacrouchiv watched many videos already and have seen many different ways to add stuff like flowers or gold flake but has any one ever tried to push gems in to the wax!
I have a full video here: ua-cam.com/video/QUpexo-CieI/v-deo.html I don’t recommend most of the brands on amazon, unfortunately! I haven’t found any that are quality and won’t either break down, bleed or transfer colors. Read reviews carefully!
I just got into was seal and I bought this rly pretty hummingbird seal but I think I somehow dropped my tealight candle wax and the seal is turning blue in some parts does anyone know how to fix that?
Is the problem with the stamp itself or with the wax? If it’s the stamp itself, you can CAREFULLY hold the metal part over the flame to melt the blue wax and dab it off with a paper towel until it is removed. If it’s the wax, there might not be anything you can do. Hot wax that falls onto it will naturally melt and then mix in with the original stamp. It’s more like a chemical reaction and harder to fix Feel free to send me a picture if I misunderstood and I’ll see if I can find a solution: Katrina (at) BlushedDesign (dot) com
It’s the Grace, double handle brass melting spoon from Artisaire: artisaire.com/grace-sealing-wax-spoon/ I believe if you use Blushed10, you can get 10% off!
If it’s biodegradable then it probably won’t work for wax seals-if they break down then it doesn’t stay together in the mail, unfortunately. If you just want to play, you can use bees wax or natural crayons
13 dollars for a wax stick? thats 650 pesos in our country, wax beads is way more cheaper it will cost you 1 dollar only and you can get 100 pcs of wax beads already
Quality is the key! $13 gets you 5 sticks of high quality, flexible wax that won’t break or bleed. I have yet to try a cheaper wax that was worth the time, though yours could be the exception. I just haven’t seen it yet
I'm willing to send you some if I have money for the shipping fee so you can be able to try it and realize that it has high quality even tho its cheap 💞
I have used wax/baking/parchment paper In the past with some success, but my best results come from using a marble coaster or a metal platter like you can see I used in this tutorial (when switching out wax colors ☺️) You want to look for something naturally cool and without pours or small holes that the wax will get stuck on. Happy stamping!
It does get pretty wild there sometimes! There is so much stuff in this candle from using it for experiments and such like this (lots of spilled wax, dropped matches, etc)

Where did you get your wax melting spoon? It’s so nice that it fits over the bigger candles.
I use the solid brass spoons from Artisaire! They're a little pricier, but worth the investment because of the quality! bit.ly/2DNa3WJ
Hi. I looked on Artisaire but did not see the spoon. Is there another reputable place to buy one? Thanks.
Here’s the link! So sorry, they are constantly changing their website-their only fault! artisaire.com/wax-stamps/accessories/
So helpful wow 👏🏼 specially adding two layers for ribbon etc..
It’s a little thing but makes such a difference!
I use the wax pellets and little burner specially made for this, the little pellets and burner are really cheap and much less messing about
I have seen those! Glad they work so well for you-I love the wide spoon and have a house full of candles so I haven’t messed with the little burner myself, hah
Nice trick with the pencil! Great video.
It’s a game changer! I used to try to just remember the exact angle and they would be crooked half the time 😅
Cool idea with the glue gun!
Unfortunately there isn’t a “perfect” way that I have found. If/when I find something better I will definitely report back!
@@katrinacrouch New guns! haha. How many do you have? :-D
I think I have 8 now? Haha, it’s kind of a problem but also part of my job 🤷🏼♀️
Hello! Great stuff. What kind of mechanical pencil were you using? Thanks!
Probably a HB pencil ☺️
I can't beleive the spoon is $62!!!
@@katrinacrouch Investment is a good word. It's a tool for professionals.
My mom has gotten me some and I don’t think that they are pure brass, but they work beautifully and I know she probably got them cheaper. You can find them online 😊👍🏻
Lately I've a lot of wax seal stamps. I wonder how you store them? Can you show it in a picture or video?
I recently decluttered most of my handles and just kept the brass head of the stamp-saved me a lot of room! Hah but not a solution for everyone, that’s for sure!
And great idea-I’ll share some behind the scenes soon!
THAT BLOB LOOked Great !!!!!! SHame On yOu. Messed up your own creation at the end! Thanks for the tips!!
Hah, the beauty of wax seals is that you can be creative and manipulate them so that it fits your style! ☺️ blob or stamp
Can I cut the sticks to use them in the spoon ?
The glue gun sticks?
Yes! Just be very careful! I have found that embroidery scissors work pretty well but it eventually ruins the scissors 😬
*squeals with joy* First time stamper for my upcoming wedding invitations!
Yay!! It’s addicting, you’ll love it-let me know if you have any questions!
Can a wax stamp endure the post office or should I still lick the envelope like a regular person.
If you don't mind me asking where I'd you find your spoon? It's a lot nicer than the ones I have.
Artisaire! They are currently out of stock but should be back soon! artisaire.com/melting-tools/
@@katrinacrouch thank you!
At 4:41 instead of having the flame leave soot on your spoon, why not put the aluminum foil over part of the class candle, of course, leaving air space. Or just put a thin strip of foil under where your spoon is?
You could definitely do that! I suppose I'm too lazy, hah
What are your favorite wax seal tips??
I already have a few more to share, so hoping to get another “tips“ video out soon! 😘
can i deliver my wax seal letters to different countries please reply back i want to know if i want to send out letters i don't want them to be damaged
Thank you this video was very helpful. Do you have tips for square wax stamps? Or do the same rules apply for the round ones?
Same tips! I use a little extra wax with square stamps so it reaches each corner, and if you’re extra picky, pour the wax in more of a square shape (though that takes some trial and error and I prefer to let it happen more organically)
@@katrinacrouch Ok, thank you! :)
Love your tips! Thank so much. By the way, I also love the rose colored envelope with the elegant detail. Where did the envelope come from?
All of envelopes come from CardsandPockets.com! (Except the handmade paper ones)
Where can I find a double handled melting spoon like yours?
I got mine from Artisaire: artisaire.com/products/grace-sealing-wax-spoon
Hi! I'm new to wax seal stamp and I love it. The problem I'm having is that my paper always curl, how do I stop this from happening?
Your wax may be too hot! Or your paper too thin. Pull gently on the sides as the wax cools to help flatten everything back down. Once the wax is cool, it will be difficult to change anything
@@katrinacrouch thank you! I will try to remember these tips!
Could u do this stamp with just hot glue, I think I’m going to get a set with wax colors, stamps and a melter, with a spoon..but if u could use hot glue that would be cool.
Yes! It’s not quite as sturdy and takes a little longer to cool, but you can definitely use hot glue instead!
I sprayed all my brass seals with WD40 silicone I got from my husbands garage. 😃
Oh really?? What does that do? Help to keep it clean or make the impression more crisp?

My top tip is - Do NOT eat the wax. TRUST ME! 😂
Hahah, yes! A very important rule to follow
How do you used the ice cubes to cool the wax?
I am thinking of pre-making these stamp circles for easier/faster access when I need them, is there a special tape I can use to tape it down to the paper or what would you recommend? thank you !
Yes! This is the technique I use in my own business-I use and trust Artisaire’s adhesive: artisaire.com/products/adhesive-backings-50-pack
I’ve sent them through the mail with no troubles and it has a very strong hold
Is it normal to get sort of blemishes and marks on the wax?
Metallic wax is more prone to these texture differences, but it can happen with satin and matte too
i love your stamps! So elegant.
Thank you so much!
Can I use resin for wax seals?
Oh I bet you could! I have never tried it and have limited experience with resin in general, but from what I do know I would advise that you wait and allow the resin to set a little before pouring and stamping. Otherwise you might not form the “lip” around the seal very well. And it might take longer to cool than traditional wax
@@katrinacrouch thanks for your reply
Where did you get the two handled spoon I have looked all over Amazon eBay all of them and I can’t find it I’d really appreciate it if you could tell me thank you so much

It’s a handmade brass spoon. More of an investment but you can see that I love it!!
I’ve watched a few videos on wax seal and I don’t think the flame is meant to be that high and touching your metal dish. Just a thought.
Wax paper or baking paper-you can find it in the baking section of your grocery store ☺️
@@katrinacrouch thank you so much!
Amazing! Thank you for the fun video.
So glad you enjoyed it!
On 6:16 instead of putting a stamp, you can just tape the sides of the ribbon.
Where do you suggest I buy top quality red wax that dries with a high gloss?
Hmmm, glossy wax is harder to find! For some reason the trends are going more towards matte with the wax seal companies. Artisaire has a red but it’s more of a satin finish: artisaire.com/sangraia-sealing-wax-sticks-5-pack/
Maybe check Stamptitude? They have a few varieties of wax-I haven’t tried them all but it’s worth a shot!
I recommend looking for wax that is a little flexible when you’re testing. I have a few more details here: m.ua-cam.com/video/uZjkwfCTjjI/v-deo.html
Bad wax will break, chip or have an oily transfer
How do you open a wax seal letter? Is it normal to rip the paper in doing so?
Yes, it’s normal to rip the seal or the paper ☺️ historically, that was part of the purpose of a wax seal-to showcase if the information contained was still “private”
Blushed Design thank you, i just got a stamp set and i love it!

You can use regular wax abd add little pieces to your hot wax on top to give a solor dofference easily.
how do you get hardened wax off the stamp? :)
Put the stamp by the flame and as the wax melts, dab it off on a paper towel 💕
Excellent video. Thank you!
So glad you found it helpful!!
Sorry if this is silly question, can you smear oil on seal instead of using ice to ccol
You can give it a try but it will likely effect the wax itself
And the wax won’t cool any faster, so you still would not be able to remove the stamper until the wax cooled

Are wax from candles and stamps different?
Very different! One is designed to break down and the other is designed to hold it’s shape.
@@katrinacrouch thanks for prompt reply 😀
Also just wondering the wax thats used is it the same as normal candle wax or can natural raw beeswax be used for the seal
@@katrinacrouch thank you so much I realy appreciate your advice. Something to think about

What causes wrinkly wax seals
Usually wax that is poured too high or that isn’t hot enough, causing the wax to cool unevenly or too fast, resulting in bumps!
I am completely new to wax can I use any candle to melt the wax?
Yes! Just don’t let the flame touch the spoon or the wax get too hot. If the wax is too hot, it will bubble
Thank you
I just got into was seal and I bought this rly pretty hummingbird seal but I think I somehow dropped my tealight candle wax and the seal is turning blue in some parts does anyone know how to fix that?
Is the problem with the stamp itself or with the wax?
If it’s the stamp itself, you can CAREFULLY hold the metal part over the flame to melt the blue wax and dab it off with a paper towel until it is removed.
If it’s the wax, there might not be anything you can do. Hot wax that falls onto it will naturally melt and then mix in with the original stamp. It’s more like a chemical reaction and harder to fix

Hey can someone tell me how to keep my wax seals? Like if I put them on paper they won’t come off but I really want to keep some!! ):
I have used wax/baking/parchment paper In the past with some success, but my best results come from using a marble coaster or a metal platter like you can see I used in this tutorial (when switching out wax colors ☺️)
You want to look for something naturally cool and without pours or small holes that the wax will get stuck on.
