Pixel 8 Pro is amazing! $200 USD off, $300 trade in, no hassle. $20 USD UA-cam premium discount. Do the math. Great phone. Snappy, beautiful display, camera and user interface. Been a Google ecosystem dweller since 2010. From the G1 Nexus days. So biases applied. Trust me when I say that this is is the closest Google has gotten to delivering a perfect smartphone experience. Battery life could improve, camera app could be more responsive although ages from its previous iterations. I want to encourage Google to keep improving on their Tenser chip and hardware to software relativity. So far so good, though. Albeit, not perfect but headed into the right direction. Keep improving, stay inspired, Google!
Aside from the $200 play store discount, I contacted UA-cam customer service and they gave me additional $125 discount since I'm a UA-cam Premium customer.
3:44 hey, are you a pokemon go player? the Tensor is the main reason I'm hesitant to get the P8 over other Android phones. I play a decent amount of GO (level 50, legend battler) and I like the Snapdragon for its efficiency and thermals more, as well as features like pass-by charging on Samsung and others. Otherwise, I prefer the Pixel for a lot of things like camera, software, and even hardware design. If the Pixel 10 has a TSMC chip as rumored, that phone will probably be near-perfect for me, but until then I am still looking to upgrade
Just picked a Pixel 8 up brand new from Voxi just under £ 400 no contract. Absolute steal at that price. Very happy with it. The phone doesnt wiz along like the top Samsung's but with the display and 120 and the silly animations turned off it responds really well. Plays basic games pretty well. I dont like the google keyboard so put the swiftkey one one and now its pretty near perfect.
Hey nice quick review of the pixel eight and yeah it’s a good phone but I would say don’t buy it at the $700 price that’s way too much. It continually goes on sale here in the states and at least yesterday it was 550 that’s probably what it’s really worth.
I really hate it that they don't offer a telephoto camera in the standard Pixel 8 model. The 8 Pro is too big for my taste (while the Pixel 8 could be a bit larger).
I'm a Pixel 7 owner.... Overall pretty happy with it, although it's a bit chunky (compared to my previous xiaomi mi 9t pro) But.... The pixel 7 has one major flaw for me, that makes me think about replacing it .... The display brightness, on a sunny day outdoors is way too low, first few minutes are ok, but once the phone starts heating up a bit it lowers the brightness level to a point where i barley can't see anything anymore. Xiaomi did also lower its brightness under same conditions, but never to point where it became unusable.
Just got it the 8... delighted for the translation option but now when it was translating texts in WhatsApp its not offering the option now....what do i do?
GSM Arena has rated the battery life of the Pixel 8 just under 90 hours. Even the Pixel 6a is better. Will battery saving tricks vastly improve the device's battery life? Will it easily help me get just over a day use and between 5-6 hours of screen on time minus playing games or non stop streaming or navigation?
Very disappointed in the camera. Despite all the rave reviews, I find that the photos are dark and grainy. Not only that, but the photos are not full screen, and checking the aspect ratio doesn't solve the problem. Or am I missing something here? If you love the Samsung flagship camera you will not be happy with this. I am trading this in.
The problems with pixel phones are they heat up on normal usage, and the sound quality when listening to music using wired earphones is very LOW even though the songs are in 320 Kbps quality.
Quick question to anyone that can help I just switched from an iPhone to a pixel 8 and I’m super happy with it but idk why but when I use there version of FaceTime (google meet) I look grey any way to fix that? Thank you 😊
Software locking camera stuff from the main sensor is very anti-consumer. Very disappointing. I could have understood it if they say you can't use the ultra wide for the pro mode or video boost as it's last year's but man the chip set and main sensor are exactly the same across the pro and non pro..
I like my Pixel 8 but I must say that the battery life is rather disappointing. Not terrible, but I still not as good as I expected for how expensive the phone cost me
how much brightness do you normally have it at? also it rather acts with bad SOT for like the past 5 days or so and it should improve significantly after it adjusts with your phone usage
@@Al3ksandrOrlovsame here bro i don't play games.. just basic use like listening music , then snap using camera.. then actual camera apk .. some insta then calling , navigation and all stuff outdoors then scrolling through UA-cam telegram getting 6hr sot with 34% left
Yeah I agree the battery life is just OK. Many people who are getting really good battery life or on Wi-Fi all day so that makes a gigantic difference on Wi-Fi. This phone is pretty good but once you start using LTE or 4G or 5G battery takes a crap.
I just put on battery saver all day. Not the extreme battery saver because that disables a lot of the features I like to use. That suggestion in itself saves plenty of battery life.

I've had the five six and eight and have yet to really have any major issues other than the five and six getting warm in the sun. I had tbe Pixel 8 at launch. The battry on mobile data was shocking and lasted not even a day and was hot in multitasking. The battery is big but i switched to S23 base with a smaller battery and the battery lasts twice as better than tbe pixel 8. Samsung makes the Pixel modem chip. Snap dragon gen 2 is pretty damn good.
All they need to do now then is sort out audio quality and ideally add a 3.5mm headphone socket and decent dac. Or natively support output for wired of truebit audio. And an ad card slot would be handy too.low light photography could do a bit better too. Apart from that, half the price and I'm in!

Pixel 8 is nearly perfect... best size for me, best screen and one of the best cameras expect for ONE thing. The scrolling lags and stutters made the experience terrible, even if is a known problem for months (was also present in the P7P) andh there is a issue tracker with a lot of people complaining, it hasn't been fixed yet😢. Hoping for the January update
im owning ny first pixel 8 and now confronting such many issues : battery isn't great but descent, charging( sometimes it charges so slow sometimes fast) , overheating( play the same game but sometimes got overheating randomly), alot of unreliable features and widgets for me...😢, but i cant complain abt the camera system it works too well!!

Unfortunatelly, still its battery life is extremely bad. You can leave phone just lay on table and its dicharge rate is over 2,5% per hour (with active dual SIMs and WiFI, no 3rd party apps in background). Based on battery menu section - main part is eating processor and Mobile network (but it was whole time on WiFi). This is really extremely bad and big problem! Unfortunatelly, I cant recommend that phone, until it will be somehow repaired (hope, its just SW flaw)...
Is just not worth it, bad battery, camera had a focusing problem, making the angles having a blurr, dont buy this phone, if you have a pixel 7 / 7 pro, is just not worth it, such a bad phone. I just returned the phone after a few days, they gave me a new one, then again, another problem, bad sensor for the automatic brightness, returned it again, the camera had the same problem and the menu lags when you take it from charging, it overheats near the camera. Bought the phone directly from google, they send me 3 bad phones.
@@johnboy8705 I own a pixel and I don't see a stupid black bar, don't know what you have done to your phone but I don't ever see a stupid black bar unless you mean when the phone doesn't fit the aspect ratio so it puts a bar to hide the camera cut out, well sorry to disappoint you but that's on every phone with a hole punch
Less than £500 new now in the UK, a drop of about 30% in a few months, and still falling like a stone! So overpriced at launch but getting to be a bit more reasonable now. A good phone at £400 I think.
Camera samples don't really look good. There's some blooming and dusk on any light in darker background, HDR is still cranked to 11, shots overall look processed, gritty and kinda soft and just simply uncanny. Very disappointing for what is often said to be the best camera phone and no pro mode on 700 USD device is just delicious extra slap in the face. Really wtf, 150 USD Samsungs have pro mode.
I will not buy a Pixel 8, because I already own one and I like it! Minus the micro stattures in applications like reddit, fb but even worth goggles own news feed or UA-cam of which strangely enough no UA-camr talks at all! Shame on you!

Can't wait for this to be delivered on Monday. You're all arguing about tiny details whilst I'm moving from a Galaxy S10e. This thing will be a boss.
How’s your phone?, I’m getting mine this Friday

It would have been especially nice if he had the respect for his viewers to clearly and properly disclose the paid advertisement by Holafly in both the video and description. He was talking about it like it was a feature of the Pixel 8. Talk about misleading.
My Samsung flip 3z fell apart (too many times opening and closing it). Just picked up the Pixel 8. It's the perfect size. Has great build quality,. Very stable. Crystal clear phone calls. The Google Wallet is also very nice to use. It hold my credit cards and train pass. Two thumbs up!
I love it, i upgraded from my Samsung Galaxy A42 to the new Pixel 8 and i have to say is that i am impressed, the phone is great! Camera is way better. And the display is amazing. I switched to google a week ago. I had it for a week ago 10/10.
Google needs to added 3x tele lens on the regular formula.
What do you think of the edge where the frame meets the glass front sides? Unlike previous versions this one has a noticeable edge
Uncomfortable and can be felt on the hand. Using it in a case now so it doesn't matter 😕
The Pixel 8 series (especially the 8a) has hands down the best design on any phone I've ever seen
Waiting for the 8 pro to drop under 1100€…
I’d get the regular 8 for its size, but I want the telephoto camera….
Nailed the thermals. Hot instead of roasting
The 8 Pro is too big for my taste (while the Pixel 8 could be a bit larger).
should i go for pixel 8 or s23? i want a budget friendly and dependable phone.
Is that 7 years of major updates or just security updates?
Both iirc
I'm a Pixel 7 owner.... Overall pretty happy with it, although it's a bit chunky (compared to my previous xiaomi mi 9t pro)
But....
Will it easily help me get just over a day use and between 5-6 hours of screen on time minus playing games or non stop streaming or navigation?
maybe it's because of the refresh rate. Pixel 6a is only 60hz and slightly smaller display size
@@lenohildago5515 So if I turn down the RR to 60Hz the Pixel 8 would had drastically improved battery life?
Thank you 😊
Must be a setting or the phone itself. It looks perfect on the Pixel devices I've used.
Google " Google meet makes me gray" .. It tells you what to do
I just did it and it says something is disabled and says how to turn it on
Use proper sunscreen evenly on your face and neck and arms, and a coat of foundation....😊
To be fair, if you dont Play top games on your phone the tensor 2 is fine
I'm on G1 LMAO
Hi
Pixel 7 pro or Pixel 8 which one should i buy ?
in my country both are same price(offer time)
Regarding the eSIM, am I limited to Holafly only? I mean I'm not able to use other eSIM providers?
@AndroidPolice
is it still worth buying a 7?
8 is expensive comparatively
7 or 7A which is better?
Wait for the 8 to drop in price or wait for a 8a, the tensor 3 is a massive improvement over the G2
Stop being cheap and just go for it, if that's what you want
@@Cptboss if we all had that mentality we would be all broke 😂
They removed Photo sphere tho🤕
Software locking camera stuff from the main sensor is very anti-consumer. Very disappointing. I could have understood it if they say you can't use the ultra wide for the pro mode or video boost as it's last year's but man the chip set and main sensor are exactly the same across the pro and non pro..
What's the black case that you have on your phone in the opening shots?
Looking like a spigen thin fit. It's a great case but kinda slim imo.
What is customer service support phone number for Pixel phone?
So far, after a few months the 8 Pro 11h average with the display on. I had an average of 8h on the 7 Pro
I loved the Pixel 8 except for the size, too small for me. I sold it and got an 8 Pro. Now I am happy
Isn't it too big? I still have my pixel 3 and I'm worried if the pro will not fit in my pocket....
Looking to give my Samsung S20 tomyelderly mum. Pixel 8 looks awesome
Why is Holafly not called out as an advertiser?
There are more options to improve, waiting for 9 series
Order Hazel ❤
I like my Pixel 8 but I must say that the battery life is rather disappointing. Not terrible, but I still not as good as I expected for how expensive the phone cost me
how much brightness do you normally have it at? also it rather acts with bad SOT for like the past 5 days or so and it should improve significantly after it adjusts with your phone usage
How long have you had it? My first 4-5 days sucked now I can get 7-9 SOT with 16-19 hours off the battery
Watching on a pixel 7, should I upgrade to the pixel 8?
You should wait on the 9 at least. You don't need to upgrade every year
Pixel 8 is fantastic, that's why im waiting for 8a
Make customisation video plzz
currently using a pixel 7 and on the fence of getting the 8 mainly for the slightly smaller footprint and much nicer display. would you upgrade? thanks for your time and great video as usual
I have the 7 and the 8. I find its an overall improvement on the 7. Nothing new of insanely better. But I don't ever want to go back to 7 as my daily driver
Solid review
What is the wallpaper from 0:15
sa7by just search for "synthwave" or "retrowave" wallpapers and you'll find very similar ones
It was a steal for $350 off eBay.
7:39 seriously? Why no one points out Pixel shots are always way cooler than the natural scene? iPhone nails the warmth of the scene.same is with the muted colours in pixel.(i am using a pixel 8) M i missing anything?
I've had the five six and eight and have yet to really have any major issues other than the five and six getting warm in the sun. Sometimes I read about problems that people are having but I've never experienced any of them. So people going to hate of course. Just use what you enjoy if it works for you
Putting 120hz at base model is pretty nice.
#TeamPixel
Everyone says Pixel 8 has modem issues. Is that not true? I can get Pixel 8 for like $100 bucks but i dont want signal issues
I ordered one and returned it within a week to be honest. Am I the only one who found overheating issues? I came from a OnePlus 6t which I purchased in 2018 and even that device runs cooler than my pixel 8 used to. please help. need reccos for a $500-700 CAD phone within the next few months. Looking at maybe a samsung A54 or perhaps just a base s23 or maybe the OP12r. Cheers!
Why do you all like the Pixel 7a? I don't trust most reviewers because of this. The 7a was the worst phone I've ever owned.
He is Ryan Thomas from Android "POLICE" and he will "CATCH US" later. Smort.
Battery life less than stellar, camera hdr look oversone, locked out software features tells me they didnt "nail" it.
3:17 peak spotted
Watching on my 4a
Fyi you cant remove top widget on the home screen, its forced on the user. So 20% of the screen is wasted. Thank you google :)
WTF am I reading this! 😂
Because I'm bored...
Ah yes, the turd that is Pixel. 2 bars on my S22 at home but 0 bars on the Pixel. 3 bars on the S22 at my fave pub, 1 bar on the Pixel. 2 bars on the S22 at vacation house, 0 bars on the Pixel. The Pixel 8 is a great device as long as you don't use it as a phone.
Could you elaborate?
Unfortunatelly, still its battery life is extremely bad. You can leave phone just lay on table and its dicharge rate is over 2,5% per hour (with active dual SIMs and WiFI, no 3rd party apps in background). Based on battery menu section - main part is eating processor and Mobile network (but it was whole time on WiFi). This is really extremely bad and big problem! Unfortunatelly, I cant recommend that phone, until it will be somehow repaired (hope, its just SW flaw)...
No offence, but where's your British accent?
Is just not worth it, bad battery, camera had a focusing problem, making the angles having a blurr, dont buy this phone, if you have a pixel 7 / 7 pro, is just not worth it, such a bad phone. I just returned the phone after a few days, they gave me a new one, then again, another problem, bad sensor for the automatic brightness, returned it again, the camera had the same problem and the menu lags when you take it from charging, it overheats near the camera. Bought the phone directly from google, they send me 3 bad phones.
Coming from a Galaxy S10 5.4oz to a 4 year newer phone a Pixel 8 6.6oz
What the heck newer phone should go lighter not heavier
I hate that stupid black bar at the top of all Google pixels while using apps. It looks ugly and dated.
Are you sure you are not thinking of iPhones? Or the pixel 3 XL 🤣🤣
@@AssassinIsAfk positive, do you own a pixel. You should know what I’m talking about if you do.
Iron box😢
s23 fe less expensive and bigger screen plus better battery
I want to get one but worried about the battery
I think Tensor G3 in 2023/2024 is disappointing. Pixel has once again failed on its hardware. Looking forward to the Pixel 9 series.
the display is the real fail, kinda important.
