I've used a rugged armor case on my apple watch 7 for a year and it is very good looking, wraps around the watch and has held up beautifully.

I have the Spigen thin fit on my Apple Watch and it’s amazing. I’ve bumped it into so many walls and not one scratch. The case is beat up a little bit, which is the whole point
A +1 from Mifa leather watch straps, they’re the best! I own the black and brown ones. The leather is stitched to the silicone bottom so if you sweat a ton the stitching will lift the sweat and “deposit” it a bit into the leather, in case you’re curious.

I like the mesh metal loops for dressing up my midnight aluminum watch, paired with a chronograph-style watch face.
I got a Series 5 when it came out, waiting for the Series 8 to ship. Do you have any thoughts on metal bands? I discovered that the EKG reader got really wonky readings when I had a metal bands, so I've swapped to other bands. Also, woo, steel maces!

To how you spoke about the charging, what’s your opinion on the 5w vs 20w?
I’ve seen with my iPhone 13 that it’s down to 96% battery health and I’ve been mostly using MagSafe.
My band (Apple leather link magnetic one) came apart on my Series 7 twice in the same day, and once it flew under a table, and the other time, across a floor, the sapphire screen survived just fine, but the fact that my Watch could’ve been gone right there is scary, even worse is that I bought a Rhinoshield screen protector 2 days prior, but Amazon sent the wrong one.

The Nomad Titanium Link Bracelet is the best purchase I've made in forever. You should def check it out if you want something luxury, its a lil expensive but with the titanium watch, its amazing.
Hello Aaron, Do you have any recommendations for apple watch cases that do not wrap around the band? I like to swim with my apple watch and being able to take the case off to dry the watch and case without having to take off the band is a useful feature for me. Right now I am only using a cheap case from Walmart that feels cheap and has noticeable molding seams. any recommendations you can give would be greatly appreciated :)
How about lugs/ connectors. Is pela still a thing? I couldn’t find lugs on their website. If not, which one do you suggest?

For the Ultra, do you think it will take more of a beating? I play beach volleyball daily and my series 4 made it for years with a simple case.

2. I don't have an apple watch but I do relate with "my hands not working with my brain" as I have dinged my smartwatch so many times man it is insane

Using the Apple Magsafe chargers as well over multi chargers. Have you found a product that holds the phone magsafe flat? I hate dropping it on the nightstand every time I grab it.

Problem with my series 7 aw is the paint on the aluminium wearing down. I'm thinking is it's from my sweat when working out or just because it's dam hot where i live. Like the paint on my glasses wears out too.

Have you found a decent charging stand for the ultra yet ? I had a cool looking elago Macintosh stand but the ultra doesn’t fit in it. Thought about one the cheap aluminum or wood stands but those are vertical and I really enjoy looking over in the middle of the night to check the time in nightstand mode (which I honestly thought was very gimmicky when I first heard about it) so if you find one please let us know. I did find on Etsy a cool minion looking one but it ships from china and it’s 35$+ shipping again if you find a cool watch stand for

What do you think about the new Alpine Loop band? I'm thinking about pairing it with my "old" 7 45mm (event if i'm not sure about the color combo with a midnight watch) but I read some bad reviews. All influencers say it's good, almost perfect, but those who had to pay for it does not agree. So I'll trust your reviewer point of view!
I got the Alpine Loop and I like it. The fabric is soft and it seems well-made like any other Apple Watch band. It does take a lil work to get on and off tho since first you have to unhook it and the ridges get caught on the metal loop when pulling out. I do prefer the sport loop for working out like Aaron mentioned and I wanna try the new trail loop

@Such Is Life Performance based products usually don’t feel premium. Just look at all modern running and basketball shoes, they’re all made from synthetics. If you want premium, then go for the Milanese loop or leather bands. The Ultra is marketed towards athletes and on the spectrum of performance based materials, the Alpine Loop is on the higher end imo

What happend to VAL?
Problems with CrashGuard NX. Maybe the CrashGuard NX was good for the Apple Watch 8, but I'm not happy with the one I got for my A.W. 9. The rim (the part you can change for different colors) fell off within a month or so, and after I put it back on a couple of times, it got lost completely. So I got a new rim, and it fell off and got lost even faster.
Lol I’m currently using the left side screen protector and love it at 0:51

For the best apple watch screen protector. I think that the rhino shield 3D impact screen protector is the best option. I've had it for a year and I only had to replace it last month when I accidentally took it off in the pool, but it wasn't damaged at all on either sides of the protector. I was just commenting this because I saw that you didn't even mention this product, so I gave it it's shine
Unfortunately i can't get it in India😢 i got the case from rhinoshield for my series 7 and now none of the screen protector is compatible with it

Dropped by in case any long term post video updates since a year ago but I guess the next videos are about Ultra 2 although I assume same products would apply
I bought a leather strap for my series 4.. a few weeks later it got caught on something and my watch went flying off my wrist. The face hit the concrete and it completely shattered the glass. Just be careful because the magnets aren’t super strong.

the mophie charger does not come up when you click the link - different mophie chargers come up but not one with an apple watch charger
Charging on the Apple products is NOT the most consistent. Anker and others have much higher quality capacitors. The hardware/software within the Apple product provides the great experience. I have a 90 watt 3 USB Anker alongside every brick Apple offers. I reach for the Anker every time.

0:22 OK why is that so true like funny thing is my ultra I didn’t put a case on it so it does happen and when it does it literally takes off the paint of my wall or door frame and not even scratching on making the Apple Watch
I would not recommend the rihnoshield. I have had one for over a year, and the case caused micro scratches on the watch.
I had the series 3 aluminum and there was never any damage to the screen or body - the fabric strap (the sports loop) got grimy and discolored but I had it for years (funny when I got new Series 7, I dropped my old one in the Apple Store as I just told the sales person that I didn’t need to pay for an extra warranty-I was afraid that it would be damaged and I wouldn’t get the full turn-in value - luckily it didn’t). Aaron works out a lot - I do not. Or maybe he is a klutz!
I also never damaged these things, it’s not hard to not bonk it off walls, and it’s a watch it should look pretty cases are stupid on watches

@@juliet4093 I smashed my Apple Watch Ultra diving a sunken aircraft carrier off the coast of FL. So yeah, I need a case/screen protector. These things aren't as durable as they say they are. Case or not, I'd never take my Apple watch in a cave or cavern either. Even the Titanium + Kevlar composite weave drysuit my instructor uses there has wear and tear from pulling himself across the the limestone rock formations in places like Ginnie Springs.
You might sit in and office and go for leisurely walks on paved trails, but people that live active lifestyles have already had issues with damage to the watch's casing and screen barely a year since it's release.
My old series 6 looks it was thrown in a cage with a tiger😅.

Companies like Catalyst should have already had a case made for the release of the 49mm. I’ve always had a catalyst case on every series Apple Watch I’ve owned and I’m just not willing to slap some Amazon junk on my $800 watch until a legitimate case is released

Thanks for the screen protector recommendation. Could not use your referral easily as in U.K. Genuinely hate the case I have on my watch at the moment. Not water proof any water e.g rain or washing hands and screen is useable. 😢

I would rather have a scratched Apple Watch screen than use a screen protector on them. Same reason I don’t cover the glass on my regular watches.
Just a note about scratches on Apple Watches. The only way to get a scratch on a sapphire face Apple Watch is to run a diamond across the face of the watch. Why? Because next to a diamond, the next softer material is, you guessed it, a sapphire. So, hitting it with items you come in contact around the house simply won’t scratch it. I have mine with a stainless steel case and in 4 years there is not one scratch on either the case or face. You obviously will pay more for it but you won’t be paying for replacements along the way. Cheers.

I paid extra for the Titanium version of the Apple Watch 6 and it still looks brand new. This is my everyday and every night Watch. No scratches on the body or screen, Titanium and Sapphire are ridiculously hard to scratch.
I have only had steel Apple Watches and now the Ultra since 2015 and have never scratched a screen. If you buy the aluminum Apple Watches you most likely will scratch the screen or case.
