  • My wife Lauren used ChatGPT to write and illustrate a rhyming children’s book about our family in under 15 hours from brainstorming to printing - amidst the whirlwind of parenting two kids!
    In this video, she'll walk you through each step of the process, following my CODE method:
    We'll cover capturing those initial sparks of inspiration, organizing ideas, distilling them into a compelling story, and finally, expressing them in a tangible, visually stunning book.
    CHAPTERS:
    00:00 - 01:00 Intro
    01:00 - 02:43 Creating the story
    02:43 - 04:00 Crafting images

    That's a really cool approach. Have Chat GPT ask you questions. It's a way to use AI to encourage creativity rather than using other peoples words and ideas. I never thought to do that. Thanks for the tip.

    You’re amazing Lauren. What a beautiful, brilliant and intentional creation. You just inspired me so much!! As a mama of two little ones who misses my free creative flow time, this showed me how I can still create intentional offerings with the fun and guidance of chatGPT. Thank you for sharing and especially showing busy nonstop mamas who have soooo little time to be creative what is possible!!!

    This is so great for a number of reasons. First, it helped me understand the CODE process a little bit better. I’ve been a BASB lurker for a long time. Also, I have been resistant to ChatGPT because it feels like then the work isn’t authentic, but listening to this explanation makes me see how it’s no different than if I was a Creative Director with a team of people working around me executing (except that I still believe humans create better quality work. At this point) Finally I never really thought about ChatGPT as the perfect thought partner, and now I do!
    This is so helpful for solopreneurs. Thank you so much!

    I see nothing this wrong with this for two reasons: (1) She didn't take full credit and (2) You weren't giving chatgpt personal information like banking info. It's a cute, fun project that the kids obviously appreciated. She spent a lot more time on this than she would have spent had she just gone and bought them something which apparently would have been better to some people who commented. LOL

    AI skeptics screaming about how this is a "scam", y'all need to grow up. She isn't promoting copying an artist's style to create a book effortlessly and sell it for quick cash. She's graciously showing us how she used her limited time and modern day tools to craft something personal and unique for her family to share and enjoy, and how she did that using the CODE process.

  • @KevinKolbe
    @KevinKolbe 2 дні тому

    I always find it fascinating when someone says "I created" then "with AI". Add to the fact your prompt, which is really what it is, asked for something "unique". There isn't anything unique about what AI spits out. It's all created off the back of something else, also called "machine learning".
    Also, wouldn't you know your nephew and nieces better than AI? Okay, if you don't know that that well, they're kids. Better to be like a kid and create something which I'm sure they'd love than let AI "create" it for you.
    Sad

  • @JasmineRossetto
    @JasmineRossetto 2 місяці тому

    This makes me sad, I get that you're promoting it because it shows what you can do with CODE. The comment, 'she isn't promoting copying an artist's style' it is, because AI art is trained on stolen artwork. This is promoting using AI instead of paying a human to do it. Regardless of whether she sells it or not, she's selling an idea.

    Writing and illustrating a children's book with chat GPT in under 15 hours.
    Everything about this sentence is just wrong and the whole vibe of this video is just weird. I think you need to do more to free up time in your life to lovingly create something that come from you. It should take time (yes, longer than 15 hours) and toil and in the end you would have a much more meaningful book for you and your children. This is borderline dystopian.

  • @maggiefergus
    @maggiefergus 3 місяці тому +11

    There are so many good books (and music, art, video, etc.) being created by real people who have something to contribute from their hearts and minds. It is stupid and shameful to not just produce a book-shaped object from a bait and switch tech-bro implementation of spicy auto-correct, but to promote it and expect praise. Unsubscribing now.

    • @AdEngineer
      @AdEngineer 3 місяці тому +4

      Don't you understand the point? It's not a general book that you can buy at stores, it's a book that is customized for the child and family.

    • @maggiefergus
      @maggiefergus 3 місяці тому +4

      @@AdEngineerThe AI that generated the images was trained on stolen art. If somebody doesn't have the skills to create custom illustrations of their children, they can hire a human artist (students would be more affordable than pros), or they could combine stock photos, icons, or illustrations with treated/filtered photos of their children. The internet is full of tutorials and helpful experts -- for now. There are always alternatives, and saying the work is for family use only is no excuse.

    I know AI is the buzz word everyone needs. I am also convinced there is value in this video. Yet i choose to end it at 0:25 just to prove a point. Not everything should be done with AI. There is no way the end result has the some soul it would have, when done only by humans in 100 hours. And it won’t have the same meaning for you when you remember this project.
