United need to pass on Branthwaite and not let Everton extort them with a massive transfer fee. He’s talented but not that talented. I like De Ligt and the idea of him and Martínez as a center back pairing is great. But De Ligt is injury prone at only 24. Between the two, I’d still go with De Ligt. And without the homegrown British transfer fee tax, he’ll also be cheaper.

I'd assume he was referring to Branthwaite staying at Utd / Premier League longer , De Ligt is becoming a couple year stop gap since his moves from Ajax it appears, There must be reasons Juve and Munich have moved him on / looking to move him on. Branthwaite being English , you'd assume he'd stay in the premier league for as long as he can (until a Real M for instance came calling) - i'm assuming alot there 😁

I’d go de ligt because of his European experience and having played under ten hag before he is a commited player who is a solid center back that can compliment Martinez’s game also De ligt is elite in aerial duels he has got an idea of how to play for a big club. Branthwait is good don’t get me wrong but not sure if he is ready to lead the back line without European experience

I wouldn't mind de Ligt (and we know ETH would love him lol), but after a season like last season, we can't afford to bring in injury prone players. We've got enough of them as it is. I'd most prefer Todibo and Martinez to be the starting CBs, and Inacio to come in as backup to Martinez for cup games or injury.

Ideally UTD should look at a 3rd option, De Ligt is another one of ETH old players and that doesnt really inspire confidence, Branthwaite is overpriced and has not really played that long to justify the hype, for example UTD signed AWB for 50m after 1 good season, look how that played out
better look for some young option out in europe, probably around 20-30m mark, with Licha alongside there will be a capable leader to guide him through
