I would sell Maguire, Mctominay, Antony, Sancho, Greenwood, Casemiro (Love him but if a big offer comes i’d say sell)
Sign De Ligt, another CB (now that Todibo is not possible, Inacio? Diomande? Anselmino? Pacho? Calafiori? Who can also cover LB)
Get a physical CDM, Fofana/ Guimaraes or Amadou Onana. Sign Amrabat as cover only if he’s cheap 10m-15m.
Sign Olise/Kubo/ Nico williams for the RW and Zirkzee/Jonathan David or Wahi for that rotational ST and give chances to Lacey, Amass, Collyer and Wheatley

I agree with your opinion on each and every one of those players you mentioned there. I dunno why you forgot to mention Greenwood, who obviously also should be sold, and is one of the players that we could actually get a decent fee for.

I understand that as a United fan you’d want to keep Rashford, but someone mentioned on the athletic pod that the talk is that Rashford had said whether he wanted to leave this summer or not depended on what happened with the manager. All speculation obviously but if that’s true I imagine he meant he’d leave if Ten Hag stays.
Also, Rashford is like a champagne version of (to use your phrase) purple patch perez. Even in his best seasons he has long spells of games where he’s anonymous. If an offer of above £50m came in for him I think United would be silly to say no personally.

Maguire has to go as this is the last moment you can get good money for him. He can't play the system ETH and the club wants, he is on high wages and he can't cover left back which you ideally want from your Martinez backup.

To be honest, we have to let Rashford go. Seen him since his tremendous debut game. His strength was his pace & the guts to dribble any defenders. His dribbling hasn’t grown, I would even say its ability has decreased. His passing got better and overall reading of the game got better but his work rate, pace with the ball, dribbling, has went down. He is not 18. He is already 25 and we need a better winger over Rashford. I love him with all my heart, but he isn’t good enough. I’m not switching just after one season. When he was scoring 30 goals last season, I had my doubt if he could do this 5-6 seasons. The biggest problem is his work rate. He only defends when he wants to. I just feel like his potential was just an average english winger.

Agree with almost all of this. Would keep amrabat tho. As you’ve proven we’ve only got 4 good midfielders and none of them are a specialist 6. Obviously need a statement signing there but could also really do with a cheap backup option so amrabat for 10-15m is not bad
If you get a big fee for Rashford, sell him. It’s pure profit as an academy player and re-invest in the front line to support Hojlund and Garna.
Casemiro has been left on an island his whole entire United career… never has midfield support until Mainoo and the backline was abysmal…. Maguire playing passing int him with no outlet and being pressed😂
I'm not a United fan by any stretch of the imagination, but looking at their squad I do feel a Liverpool esc. rebuild is needed.. that may mean selling star players; as Liverpool did with coutinho, in order to invest in good, up and coming talent throughout the squad. As good as he is I feel like the biggest asset Manchester United (financially) is Rashford, I know there's a quality player in there but I just think consistency is what has let united down this season, and he has been a major part in that.
Rashford is a must sell, Sancho too. Lindelof and Maguire should be sold as we are after 3 CBs. Sell casemiro, sell Antony

If he's got any sense (or control) at all, then Rashford can go to PSG. McTominay can go to Rangers (his level). He can replace them with players that are present on the field and can impact a game.

I can envision a player plus cash swap deal that involves wan Bissaka and Guehi, and according to certain sources Cancelo is available for about 25-30 million. Would be an absolute steal IMHO. de Ligt to come in to replace the Varane shaped hole at RCB. Martinez pushed forward into CDM to support Casemiro and/or Mainoo, a position IIRC he has played before.
The sales of Maguire, Lindelof, Sancho and Greenwood, plus Rashford and Antony if possible, should generate enough money to bring in backups and/or reinforcements to the forward line
