Trip to visit my parents in Boise, then down to Concord to work with a couple or Aerostar clients in their plane then headed back to Paine Field to get out of the smoke.
Nice video. Beautiful Aerostar. It will be great to show more details on that gorgeous Aerostar exterior and maybe a bit of the interior. Thanks for the videos.
Thanks! Please give us more details like true airspeeds at 65% power and fuel flows LOP or ROP. What's your cabin altitude when you cruise at FL 240? How dependable is your Aerostar?
RAM strongly recommends that the wastegate butterfly shaft and the wastegate actuator shaft be thoroughly lubricated with Mousemilk penetrating oil every fifty hours, or at any time the manifold pressure seems sluggish. The Mousemilk can be applied using a common oil squirt-can. Mousemilk penetrating oil is available at most aviation supply houses.
This is your captain speaking: " This flight is a non-smoking flight, except our engines will enjoy the Californian smoke. We will be cruising at 15,000 ft, high above the California wild fire smoking area.
No cowl flaps the Aerostar with the exception of the 25 PA-60-700P that Piper built and a handful of the original Machen converted 601P's, Superstar II as they are now called.
If you're looking for a great opportunity to flying to the Northeast region then I'll take you to a great place to eat or just go to Starbucks fora cup of coffee! My treat

Do an in depth walk around of the aerostar. Would the IE2 lycoming work on the aerosstar?
Good idea. I will put it on the list.
@@AerostarPilot looking forward to it.
The IE2 375hp engines would be a nice upgrade.
I did not know that!
Can't fool me, we've seen that last approach somewhere before.
Yeah I know. More variety coming soon. Cant wait to try out 3 new GoPro 8's.

I do this every 100 hours on my 340A; check out some videos on my channel, would love suggestions like this as I’m new to a turbo piston.
just think about the engines sucking in that smoke as well turbo plane would hate that so much as well
