The bus is built right, but all credit to the driver, knowing how to crawl his bus

Awesome rig. It does look a little top heavy though. How much weight have you got hanging over that rear axle

She’s all sorted now, needed to shim the rebound a bit more on the shocks. Was swaying and bouncing a bit because of that, been pretty tricky to get them right with parabolics but after a few in and outs got it dialled, although yet to test it properly

Good to know! I thought it was a little top heavy aswell ( just for one section)
I've seen side tilt (tip over) tests on youtube for coaster buses ( stock not 4x4) and it's pretty steep and impressive
      Thanks Japan 😊

Great Driving, man.Hey I'm looking at 4wd coasters but YOU know how much extra u have to throw at it.Probly a stupid question after watching this but is something you feel has really been worth the extra 50k? Sincere question Marsh

@@MarshClarke that’s the golden question, that’s what I battled with too. Our last trip we travelled for 1 year.. the best places we went were 4x4 only. Depends what kinda travel you like, we don’t like caravan parks and many people around. Also most of our trip was about surfing, trying to access good hidden surf spots particularly in SA and WA would be impossible with a 2wd. I gave it a hard time when it was 2wd too but sand is just a no go. Just think, you can have a fkn long overseas holiday for 50k, you could travel in a Corolla and stay at motels for a year before you got that money back.
I’ll tell you what though, after our last big trip, I kinda feel like an idiot for spending so much time and money making sure it was all the best I could do inside etc. I reckon when it’s too comfortable (like I think ours is) it keeps you inside too much, if it’s a little bit windy, little bit cold or you just cook inside on the induction cooktop because it’s faster and easier. In my mind before the trip I pictured camp fires every night, stars, perfect views and so on but you lose touch with that too easily with comfort. You see people with a very basic 90’s model Prado and a swag doing the exact same thing, maybe even experiencing nature better. A convection cooktop and a good lithium battery setup isn’t going to make the sunsets any better 🤷‍♂️
Don’t get me wrong I love the bus, loved building it, love travelling and driving it. But it’s too easy to get sucked in the consumerism of all the modern camping “necessities”.
That’s probably a strange thing to hear me say.. but being honest.

I’m looking at one that’s rear wheel drive. Would I be able to get it converted into 4 x 4?
