we went to see them live and we took a friend that had never heard them before. i kid you not he was mind blown and after the concert he wondered off completely mind blanked almost zombie and got lost we found him 20 minutes later
it´s towering and towering - now there is climax at 10:10 .... still towering...... 10:48 - can you feeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeel it - wooooaaaaaahhhhhhh - shooting straight at yr soul from another universe > 11:39. The officially licensed soundtrack of the big bang.
+Miguel Santiago every time I hear it on the album it makes me just want to see a recording of it. It has something extra live. The static at the end almost blew my heart out of my chest.
That is the first time I've heard a live performance of this song that IMO actually came up to the full intensity of the album (or at least where it was evident in the recording). Very nice find!
Saw them on their 3rd night in Brixton in 2013, one of the best gigs I've been to and I've seen a few. This track at the end just sucked everyone in and then blew your head off. Awesome night.
It’s the worst Sigur Rós song… because when it starts playing, you understand, that it is either end of the album, or end of the concert… By the way, it’s one of the best, actually
Maaaan i have thought the same think a lot of times hahaha this is a masterpiece, no words... Saw them on stage a year ago in Mexico City, this was the last song of the set... everybody went crazy, we were all trembling... but no one said a word... what can be said? there are no words
This is the time when you are allowed to use the word, "epic". Thank you Sigur Ros.
This track and entire album represented my late teens/college years. The nostalgia is deeeeeep.

And I can totally understand why...
Yeah like that happened.
@@redplague a friend of mine likes happy ska and punk music, but even he was completely blown off his socks by Sigur Rós!

Best live version of Popplagid. I wish i had been there.
I was there, it was fantastic!
the buildup + ending almost sounds like the soundtrack to the end of the world
I’ve been saying this for years.
One of the best versions of this masterpiece. Blowin out everything out of my head. :)
Gracias Sigur Ros por ser tan Perfecto!!!

WTF cares who did...are you here to monitor stupid Ups and Downs or are you here to ROCK...
Amazing, awesome band! Beautiful performance!
I feel like the buildup is way longer in the live versions than in the CD version and it always kills me. In a good way.
the studio version is indeed shorter but somehow more intense because I think he used to sing with a falsetto.
:)

Hauntingly Beautiful
Es una cancion que despierta muchas emociones al mismo tiempo...
just missed them in LA at the Hollywood Bowl. Damn.
