This is probably the best tutorial for “Trini Doubles”. I just can’t seem to perfect the recipe as it takes practice. ❤️the addition of yellow split peas to thicken the sauce. As always you’re the best teacher n 🧑🍳and makes cooking seem so effortless 🥰🌹

It was interesting to watch a "Trinidad Version" of our very much Bharateey (Indian) i.e. "Punjabi Chhole Bhature". Seems that even this recipe would be as delicious as our chhole bhatures are !
The dough that you fry for Chhole Bhature we call fry bake and we eat it the same way as you however with this recipe the dough is thinner, more yellow and very soft with the channa placed in the middle when eating. It's amazing how being from different parts of the world, the names may change but the root of our ancestors are there in food and culture. 🙏
