Excellent video as always! I just bought a 13' F150 and definitely need to ditch the factory radio. Was looking at this kit and seeing you guys knock one out confirms which kit to go with
Hi great video, I had a radio installed in my truck, I have a question the knobs for the ac won't work, can you tell me what the guy did wrong? No lights, it seems to come on when I first start the truck but when the stereo is on , the ac buttons and knows won't work or come on. Please help
the 11 to 14 mustang kit is fantastic also , you didn't say but you might be able to read obd2 codes on the pioneer witch could be handy as the vehicle gets older
Hey great video! In the process of doing this now. Question about the factory back up cam (that displays in the rear view mirror). In this video you pointed to a plug and said it would be used for a factory radio. I’ve plugged it in and it my rear view camera still displays on the mirror but not the head unit. The reverse gear triggers the back up display but it’s a black screen. Any ideas?
I installed this kit today. None of the Climate control buttons or knobs work. They light up when I start the truck but then go away. Do you know what I did wrong?
I just bought this kit and I noticed you didn't download anything into that box do you have to do that to install a pioneer 830 bhs or is that downloading for something else that doesn't apply to installing a aftermarket head unit???
Hey with the maestro module do you guys wire directly into the obd2 or do you just run a plug into the front. I just installed mine and they said to hardwire it directly to the harness before the obd2 connector. I just want to plug something in the front because of the ability to remove it
I never see you flash anything or test the steering wheel controls, any reason to flash anything, and any thing special to get the steering controls to work.
A better way to remove emblems of a vehicle would be to either use a hair dryer or heat gun if you are careful and some fishing line! Just heat the emblem and then start sawing behind the emblem with the fishing line! There is zero chance of scratching your vehicle or damaging the emblem!
Not that kit. You will need the MFT-1 and the Maestro RR. I just finished my install today. I have a 2014 FX2 that had the 8" screen with Sony system. I have to pull it all back out because I didn't run the mic included with my new HU. I was hoping the factory one would work, but no luck.
@@jrrincon79 I installed my new headunit with the MFT-1 kit, and the maestro module and still have full control of seats. You do have to do some extra stuff on the headunit when you install to get it to work.
I love that Ford made us 4.2 screen owners spend a extra 400$ for install kit and module to install a decent stereo..
this must be a classic install diaries, awesome install guys! 😃
Unless Dean ate a little too much Halloween candy...lol! J/K, Dean!
That is one of the nicest dash kits out there. Nice work!

That was a nice install. Backup camera is cool looking. The dash kit, just as nice.
I did my stereo thanks to your video
But I lose my steering wheel control
It's there any wire or harness I miss ?
Doing Great Dean. Thanks for asking. I know not many people actually respond to that question, but I also know that you don't ask it for no reason.
Thanks, and glad to hear it!
How could i get in touch with you guys i have some questions about adding a camera to my 2011 f150 raptor with the factory NAV Radio

The quality of work you guys put out makes me want to drive my Stinger from Toronto to florida for a sub install lol
Me too... though I like the challenge of DIY too much.

Question, what about the factory USB and audio cable in the center console? Does this kit retain those?
How can I buy this as a kit for my 2014 Ford F-150. I want the same exact set up
where is your shop
I installed this kit today. None of the Climate control buttons or knobs work. They light up when I start the truck but then go away. Do you know what I did wrong?
Nice video will this fit in a 2012 f150
GREAT VIDEO GUYS!!! Can I use the same kit for a Ford raptor 2013 or is there a different one or better one out there for it?
Does anyone know if the dash controls will be compatible?
Where are you located?
Just looked up the price on that camera - how do they get away with charging so much? Isn’t a camera of the quality they use like 20 bucks?
Thanks now I know what to get my pops for his birthday pretty sure he's still using CDs...
Hey, I just installed this on my 2014 f-150 and the ac/heat won’t work but the hazard lights will any reason why?

Is this kit more reliable than the Metra 108-FD2B?
Do I need that kit for the 8" radio

Are you still allowed to use the heated and cooled seats? I have the same truck and the buttons are on the factory radio
@@kyleryellott702 yeah everything works just like factory settings
@@HvyMetal4Ever hey I want to do the same but I don’t want to loose the cool and heated seats

You do have to do some extra stuff on the headunit when you install to get it to work.
Great video. Would’ve been better 6 months ago when I installed the same kit. It was a pain but a great kit.
Good video what stereo did you use ?
Good lord, so much stuff to remove just to install a radio. They don't want you getting in there.
Stereo info
Never again will I think my old car with a single dash radio bezel that can be removed with my bare hands is "hard"
Do a 2012 Ford f150
Just wear a silicone ring
