The mods are gonna be crazy. Those guys have been waiting decades to fuck with the game.
I think you’re forgetting that Rockstar went ban happy with mods not to long ago.
@@bronzin1445 mainly gta mods that in some shape or form potentially hinge on some of their future plans. haven't seen many rdr2 mods be taken down by rockstar.
No they aren’t. The game is 15 years old and the engine is just as if not older. If you’ve seen the emulator mods you know this.
@@tblcyek Also THAT particular build of the RAGE engine was held up by zipties and duct tape. GTA 4 is a shiny example of this. Phenomenal game with a phenomenal physics engine and whatnot but that game REALLY wasn’t meant to be fiddle around with…
@@bronzin1445 why
Given that RDR is not a remake / remaster, but merely a port of a console game that has been around for more than 10 years, any price over 30€ would be more than impudent.
$30 is my price point. If they try and gouge anything more, I'll be 🏴☠🏴☠
@@1_underthesun axinom + Rockstar launcher DRM says hi
Gonna probably take a good while for a crack to show up
@@1_underthesun Its $49.99 but it does include Undead Nightmare. But yeah this really should have been a Remaster.
Isn't it a port for that remaster that came out about a year ago for the PS4?
Rockstar: "You want it? give me $70."
Don't worry , i Will get it for 0 dollars 🏴☠️🦜
they didn't announce the price yet
@LazerBeam69 I mean given how they usually are with their prices, it's probably not far off.
@@LazerBeam69you do honestly expect them NOT to charge retail or at least close to it?
@sheeves5376 You will also need a Rockstar account/always online DRM, and yes $70 for a 15+ year old game.. but I will give it to Rockstar, this does seem more then just a simple port.
RDR is the real cause of AC: Shadows' delay. They knew it somehow.
nonsense it was the Steam and it prop needed more pilishing
@@VlReaderr that has to be the most restarted thinking I have I ever heard
The system requirements being higher than Red Dead 2 is the icing on the cake! Lol
bro what?!
higher system requirements, a story we all already know how ends, dogshit graphics from 14 years ago, a fucking empty desert..etc we all would've been happier if it was a second trailer to gta 6
cant wait for the dogshit port and wont be that surprised if the emulator version works better than the port

After all this time i would expect that RDR1 coming on pc would be a REMAKE and not a REMASTER i expected that its gonna look and be remade in RDR2 engine but noooo. They decide to outsource it. Did Rockstar learn nothing from GTA Trilogy debacle and outsourcing?
Red dead is still a freaking masterpiece to me. The soundtrack is still phenomenal!
Considering how incredibly popular this game was and still is, i expected Rockstar to take this game upon themselves and remake it to look exactly like RDR 2 in terms of visuals. But, this will do too.
Funnily enough I think this games art style has stood the test of time it already look way nicer than the original release.
not for $50 it won't. Stop settling for shit Viktor.
People were expecting a remake before but it was just the PS4 and Switch port, and this PC port was leaked multiple times before they announced it. A remake would’ve been great but I think Rockstar is mainly focused on GTA VI so everything else isn’t as important to them.
no it won't wewaited nearly 15 years for it to come so we can wait few more months to get it at 20-30$ cause i ain't gonna pay 50$ let alone 70$ and they would be dumb if they put it at anything above 50$
You know that even remakes with pre built assets take much more time and AAA budgets
It won't be a small release then , it would be like re4 remake
50 dollars for an old ass game, no thanks. Bring it down to 20 bucks and I'll consider it. I'd pay 50 for am actual remake.
Exactly. That's the prize for a RDR REMAKE, not a remaster...
29.99 max
Remake is literally a new game , that would take at least 5 years for something of the scale of rdr and by rockstar standards
Also the fact that it would only delay gta 6
As someone whose hometown is Middlesbrough, this is all rather surreal. I was actually impressed with Luke's pronunciation of Middlesbrough (the accent was completely off though. We're in the North Luke, so Northern accent. Like wow we have more than one accent in the UK) 🤣 We also like to say Boro for short.
WHOA!!
Oh wow, for real? I never thought this day would come. I wish they hadn't outsourced it, though. Fingers crossed that it winds up way better than the GTA Trilogy remaster.
Edit addition: I wonder which lighting scheme the PC version will use. The 360 and PS3 looked markedly different.
Yeah!
Probably more similar to the PS3.
Anything above 20$ is a ripoff, Time to get the ol' davey jones hat on.
30$ for me is fine but anything above that for a 15 year old game is a big fat NO
Would be funny if that added in denuvo just because
@@reloadedspade176 They never do on ports. Denuvo is pricy, so they tend not to put it in discounted games.
Don't play it then
I'm literally playing RDR2 rn and I'm playing as JM. It's going to be the perfect segue into RDR1 and the timing couldn't be more perfect. Hopefully it's a fantastic PC port.
I got it for dirt cheap price of roughly 2-3usd on Xbox before it was rereleased for ps5. Now the game’s being sold at almost the launch price, which is fucking ridiculous. Don’t get me wrong, its a good game, but not worth anything more than 5 bucks in 2024.
Hot cakes. This will be a money-printing machine.
Have you not seen rockstar port track record
no itwon't be cause every Rockstar port had a ton of performance issues and they were delayed games
@@christonchev9762 ps4/switch rdr launch in 2023 was fine.
Really happy that PC gamers are gonna get to experience this masterpiece.
There's been some games from this era of console exclusives coming over recently. Lollipop Chainsaw came to PC last month, now RDR.
Honestly? I wish Rockstar did this earlier, I was very interested 10 years ago and wished they did a PC port long ago. I'm still interested but not "super-excited-I'll get it on day one" levels of excited. I'll look at reviews and price. We'll see.
I mean if you hadn't played it in those 10 years, what's the difference? It'll still be the same new experience.
@@1_underthesun You have to strike when the metal is hot. I was super down and excited to get into it back then but not anymore. 10+ years is a long, LONG time for interests to drift away.
Another similar thing? I was interested in Outer Worlds and wanted to get it at launch. Then I saw the news of the devs wanting to do it exclusively on EGS and Microsoft first with Steam being delayed. I was not happy about that and lost interest by the time it actually did release on Steam.
Strike when the metal is hot, my man. If not, people will cool off on the idea and do something else. I haven't even played RDR2, so the franchise nor Rockstar (I've never played any of their games) don't have a hold on me. I'll look at the reviews and the price. I'm not putting out a lot of money for a 10+ year old game even if it is remastered well.
Did not expect a king cobra cameo in this video
Can’t escape him
I hope a next-gen update for Red Dead 2 is coming next.
I think this remaster/re-release is completely fair because it's actually an old game, I didn't play games whenever this came out and I was also quite young, now I only have access to a PS5 and PC and after playing RDR2 I've been wanting to play this for a while. I know this is already already available on PS5 but I'm trying to move off my PS5 as much as possible.
I’m the guy you described with not wanting to bother with any emulated games for games that can reasonably be ported to a modern platform. I’m super happy to play RDR for the first time after 1,600+ hours in RDR 2 - my favorite game.
One of these days I do want to get into emulation for real old school stuff I played in child hood long ago.
Great. Another game ill get to own on Xbox, PS5 and now PC. RDR is the only reason I kept an xbox around. Maybe now I'll actually beat it.
This is going to be perfect for my steam deck, just replayed it on the switch and loved the portablity but wanted that 60fps
I mean this is cool.. but a little late no? if it was remastered on pc id be more excited.
this is the remastered version they dropped on ps4 and switch last year it aint remade or anything but its running 60 frames and looks decent for what it is
Bet it's gonna run like the GTA Trilogy Derivative Edition as well lol
Remaster when the original isn't even on pc?
im excited for modders to bring red dead 2's graphics/systems to RDR1
Assuming they’re even allowed to. Don’t forget that Rockstar was on a inquisition about mods
Graphic mods will but the systems won’t. I assume you mean realistic horse riding animation and the like. The engines of both games differ. I am not technically versed in mod making at all, but even if that would be possible, it would take a long time to develop I think.
@@jenot7164 im no expert on modding but i dont think it would be a big deal to rework the health to regenerate more slowly with a core and a expanded camping/crafting system like rdr2, being able to cook meat over a fire, it dosent need a fancy animation or anything, could purely be text, a campfire menu with additional options
@@paulyboy29 yeah, I know what you mean, but it wouldn’t be the same. The animations is what makes it so cozy.
Someone tried to port RDR1's map to RDR2 and was served with a C&D and a really brutal lawsuit by Take Two, so much so that he was effectively silenced from a legal standpoint. Take Two does not screw around with their IPs.
Did I seriously just hear you shoutout BiteSize at like 4:00? My brain short circuited TMDWU
4:52 Mutahar impression.
Okay so this is exciting news. Double Eleven has created some banger ports before, Rimworld is the one I’m familiar with. My concern is that it seems Double Eleven have all but abandoned the Rimworld console port. It’s now two DLCs behind the PC version and has been untouched for a very long time. I migrated to PC in March so I’m over the console port of Rim’ but I wish they’d finish up existing projects before committing to newer ones. At the very least we can be confident this port will be better than the Definitive edition of the old GTA games which are trash ports.
oh yeah very confident of this port, when sys requirements are higher than red dead 2. Mind you, the game still looks the same as it was 14 years ago.
I'm not giving Rockstar a dime until they update RDR2 for current gen. Even if they charged $10 for the upgrade, it's ridiculously incompetent from a business perspective when people are willing to pay for a patch to utilize current gen hardware.
Rockstar definitely gonna charge for that but get a decent pc and you can play any game over 30fps
I mean RDR2 still looks incredible even without an upgrade, it’s really not needed
Hell i want a Red dead 2 updated version like Bully Got with new Side quests and Encounters for story mode.
There 100% will be no 10$ Upgrade for a next gen Version. You can bet that it will be full price 60$ just for minor graphical improvements. They already did it for GTA5 and it sold like crazy
This isn't related to rdr2 and it's your fault at the end , rdr2 is better than 5 but still sold less , why would a sane person try to upgrade rdr2?
Never though I se the day that his game would come pc. We given up hope
I mean at the time of the release they said they'd never do a PC port because the code was too messy
Every good or popular console game from PS3 era and before should be ported to PC. I am amazed that Sony has not put some of the classics onto their own platform or Steam to drum up some cash.
Something tells me we'll see a flood of remakes being ported over PC in the coming years. Everything moves slow in the gaming industry, and it wasn't until the last 18 months or so where Sony realized their wild dreams of a live service cash cow utopia wasn't going to happen. Right this very second, every studio under the Sony umbrella is probably being told to go through their portfolios and remaster their best games while also porting them to PC.
IT HAS THE CONPRESSED AUDIO REEEEEEE
All I wanted was 60fps rdr2 😢
I think what you described (around 13 minutes) is more like “remaster”…I think “remake” should be open to change things including art choices.
I’m not respecting rockstar for shit, they’ve turned into the exact corporation they set out to make fun of
Bruh i live in middlesbrough, hearing luke say where im from out of nowhere gave me whiplash
Finally, we're sick of those emulators
Nice. I played this last year with RPCS3. Was perfectly playable and I finished it with no issues, but it'll be sweet to have a native PC version. Hopefully it won't be a full price game. It'll probably be full price, tho.
I think there was a RdR1 remake but then got canceled. So they decided to release the first one instead.
Regarding emulation, i think the PS2 is the console limit right now from where you can emulate games mostly without issues on a normal PC.
For any console beyond that (RDR was release in the PS3 era), even if you have a powerful PC, you will experience issues even if the game is playable all the way through.
Any mod that finds a way to include references to Arthur will make the game even better.
I won't pay €70 not even drunk. You can't compare it with Rdr2. Maximum €40. Not more.
Requires 3rd-Party Account: Rockstar Games (Supports Linking to Steam Account)
When will these companies learn, WE DO NOT WANT TO GIVE OUT OUR STEAM ACCOUNT DETAILS TO A THIRD PARTY
You are literally playing their games , it's not your choice , don't play it then
They have put money , years and time into it , you don't get to decide
I’ve only ever finished Undead nightmare so I’m excited to try this on Ultrawide
I am a PC GAMER ONLY!!!!!
When this game came out on consoles I wanted it so bad!!!!!!!
RD 2 came out for PC to find the story is before RD 1........Matter of time RD 1 comes to PC.
Ordered RD 1 on Steam a few minutes ago.
Hope modders can add Ray Tracing in for I did not see Ray Tracing mentioned anywhere for the game =Try to improve the graphics.
Excited for it to be on PC. The first game is so much better imo
Just on my 5th playthrough of rdr2 on ps5 and then gonna buy and play rdr1 for the first time.
I don't know most of the guys already played the emulated switch version or the rpcs3 version or the xenia version... so I don't quite get it but HEY I like red dead
I'd like to have the complete Gears of War trilogy next. It ended abruptly after the first part on PC.
Nice!!! never played this game, glad I get to play on PC with better resolution and FPS.
Also, thinking Sys reqs for RD 1 is going by 4k perhaps to make it SEEM updated for what is Min and Max Reqs seems high for very old tech used in the making of the game.
RD 1 and RD 2 comparison....... RD 2 went by 1080 for 30fps RD 1 I think 4k at 60 what is needed is what RD 1 goes by to make those Reqs higher and graphics of game seem to be updated or something.
8:16 I think it wasn’t locked at 30. I think it went up to 40-50 too.
Hey Like when you talked about Mafia Definitive edition you forgot to mention that this great remake was only 40 or 50 bucks during release
Like dude it was so good
Now they need The Warriors on Xbox one and Series S and They need Maxpayne 3 and GTA4 on PS5.
Until Dawn remake has more uncanny valley problems so looks worse, even if it is technically better. Last of Us remake has the same problem, only worse because the original side stepped uncanny valley with hand facial animation specially done to avoid it and a strong use of art direction over “omg its real” (except our brains can tell it’s not)
What's your guess the cost will be? Mine is $70
And a year or two after is when I shall get it
Well here India the price of Silent Hill 2 Remake is 17% less than what Rockstar is asking for RDR1.
A full remake from the ground up costs less than a simple PC port.
Hate all you want; I’m dusting off my cowboy hat and polishing my pewter.
When it drops to $20 though.
if it was a remaster i'd spend $70. but for a port? nah.
I'd pay full price for an LA Noire remake even if it's not a possibility.
Maybe just like how remedy is remaking mp1 and 2
Once it drops to under $40 I will buy it, complete it & finally start RDR2 that I have owned for years, but never touched.
Why tho? Rdr2 is a prequel so if anything you should play it first, if you start now by the time you finish it prob will go for $40 haha.
Rdr2 is insane. The quality is ridiculous. It's soooooo good...
I literally thought this had happened already, and I ignored it because it wasn't a remake.
If someone really wanted to play this they would have done so already on consoles.
Remember RDR1 didnt come with a native PS5 app and it took them a month to patch in PS5 hardware utilization to allow for higher than 30fps😂😂
Now if only Bloodborne would get the his.
If it is done right, I am definitely interested, but if they believe I am going to pay 70 bucks, they need to wake up.
Yay!! Hopefully it runs good on the steam deck oled😊
Fuck yeah
Agreed
Its £39.99 on steam, for a 14 year old game thats a bit steep . gta 5 is £30 but is usually £12 in steam sales. Im gonna wait for the sales
It’s crazy that this 14 year old pc port will make more money than Star Wars outlaws 😂
Hello old friend its been 14 frickin years
I spent 60 on the Until Dawn remake on PC and have no issue with the pricing. If Red Dead 1 Launches at 60 dollars on PC I am gonna just continue to have never played it. It's one thing to buy a remake of a game that I've never played that has fully modern graphics for full price, and a whole other thing to buy a game at full price with pretty much identical graphics to it's original ps3 xbox 360 version just higher res. I'd pay 30 dollars for a port of a ps3 game, I will not pay more than that though.
Until Dawn was a downgrade tho lol
I was impressed by RDR on switch
Yeah modders are gonna have fun with the Game lol
On Nintendo Switch it costs $49.99. I assume the price on PC is gonna be similar.
it's probably $49.99. Whatever it is, I'm buying it.
Ps4 version was £40, so I imagine similar.
Hey Luke, could you do a video that covers the PlayStation class action lawsuit as a trial date has now been set!
I didn't like 2 much in terms main character Revolver and 1 are hands down the best, so excited.
Excuse my ignorance but can someone please explain to me why this is such a big deal? Are there really people who wanted to play RDR 14 years ago but waited all this time just for it to come to PC? What is the big difference between the versions? Is it modding?
@@Nick-kb2jc yes pc players that didnt feel like using emulators waited 14 years to play it properly. Havent played rdr1 since 2021 on ps now, which was trash.
@@merkingsavage6045Yeah played on ps now then played on Xbox one was major differnce.
I actually like that it looks this shitty. Means that I'll be able to run it. I better be. If this runs worse than V like IV STILL does I'm gonna cry.
I mean if they can port it to switch and it cost what 30-40 bucks I feel like it should be the same price
Please have the multiplayer. Will be sad if it doesn’t.
it doesn't
I think price will be 30-40$.
Man they are just now getting it, they literally got RDR2 before RDR1 LOL. I’m sure it will look and run better - IF ported correctly - but man a game from 2010? I have no doubt they’ve all emulated the hell out of it already NEVER doubt the PC Overlords lol. Enjoy bois.
Recommended specs pretty much always are for 1080p.
Mafia remake was good, but not great. Many things were cut, and the original atmosphere and soundtrack were gone. New characters voices were also worse.
People are hating on this just for the sake of hating. We've waited 14 years to play this game on pc.
Depend on the price now, $40 would be fair
The 2070 launched 10 days before RDR2 came out. It’s usually considered rude to launch a game and tell people they need 10 day old technology. The 1060ti was the most popular card of that era, developing for that card as the recommended spec was smart. That’s also a lie. You need more power
Rude? It's what the game needs
Thank u rockstar 😊😊😊
man i hope someday sells of those games bites Sony and Rockstar them treating PC as a some kind of a small community like they didn't even make the effort to make a proper revela but left to to IGN
I, uhhh…. I kinda thought it was taking so long because they were remaking it in the RDR2 engine which was already on PC, but… it’s a port… it’s just a port. Wow.
You expected Rockstar to completely REMAKE the original Red Dead Redemption, from the ground up? When they're already focused on developing GTA 6? You have only yourself to be disappointed with. That's an extremely unrealistic and absurd expectation on your part.

@@Yui-ys5cv People keep saying this and I say bullshit. Absolute bullshit. Capcom has been remaking numerous projects with high quality for *years* while ALSO making brand new ips AND developing a new engine.
