Without sounding overly dramatic, I, personally, think that the John Wick franchise has carved itself a place in modern day film history, and well deserved.

The fact that Keanu was already 50 during this film is mind boggling.
I’m 53 and reasonably fit, for my age. Most days, I wake up feeling absolutely exhausted and barely have the energy to make my bed, go to my 9-5, feed myself in the evening and do my laundry once per week.? How is he doing this?

Just watched Chapter 4 and in my opinion, it surpasses the first film, which I thought was impossible. I loved Chapter 1 so much. The score in Chapter 1 hasn't been matched, but the action in Chapter 4 is on a whole new level.
i still can't get each actin sequence out of my head. The car scene in Paris, the top down dragon breath shotgun scene. The audience I saw it with was amazing.

The John Wick films have always been consistent with each installment. That's something I've never seen in a film series
the actor who really earns his pay
The first film was a lot more purposeful and the action felt very impactful as the story and the motivations were extremely strong. Each movie after that kept improving the action but left out the strong emotional core that made the first John Wick film special.
John wick 1 is actually my least favorite because of the emotional aspects. Once he let's loose its alot more fun (for me) and they flesh out the lore of the high table. I have seen a million action movies where the MC becomes a force of nature because of loss. Sometimes it's better to have a badass getting shit done period no baggage no anchors. *spoilers* when Charon is killed in chapter 4 I was more pissed lance wasn't going to have any more action scenes rather than feeling sad for winston/ johns loss.
4's pretty balance between the two
For me the 4th one is by far the best of the series, it has the best elements from each one it's predecessors, powerful characters/emotions/actions/fighting styles/car chasing etc..

First is the best movie. The build up and even keanu’s acting was better. Yes the fight scenes and Cinematography were better in the others but it just gets tiresome with the same moves done over and over again. It just goes for too long without much creativity. Yes moments like dragons breath shells pull you back in but a lot of it is just meh

@@rsz90182 Fights, Gun fights, running, taking quick cover, Driving (To an extent) = 'ACTION" ....all the things Keanu does himself. Getting hit by cars, falling from crazy heights, being narrowly missed by an explosion, thrown into something that could cause severe injury = "STUNT" ...These are the things the stuntman does. He does actions, not stunts.

Gun Fu has been a thing since 86, thanks to John Woo. Without detracting from the incredible work Keanu has put into his action, you're being a bit of a fanboy, id argue the "most ultimate".

The wick movie has the best action sequences in all of Hollywood. No other action movie can come near the fighting and shooting sequences that Wick has only other movies that maybe come close are Jackie Chan movies

No one will ever be like John Wick.
The man gets shot, stabbed, thrown off a building….and he still able to walk away with a bit of damage.
It's great there's never much plot or dialogue to distract the viewer and that the tropes we see are simple, well-used and easy to digest. This allows the the film to concetrate firmly on vehicles going fast, all the weapons getting lots of use and a super-high body count. Lastly the underlying messgae that anyone with a vaguely Russian look or accent is right dodgy is as simple as the white hat, black hat code of the old time Westerns - bravo !! blam blam blam blam blam blam blam blam blam blam blam blam oh yes...
