Mielle, Shea moisture, and Aphogee products have been amazing for my locs. I've also incorporated steam treatments and occasional deep conditioner. I use light oils and brush my locs from time to time. Keep the videos coming. Your locs look great! Also, I like your makeup, I've been looking for that type of blush.
I gotta try that. Nothing worse than using the wrong shampoo for locs. Ive had to wash and scrub my locs throughout the day after using the wrong shampoo… residue everywhere
Organix took my hair out really bad and a stylist said it has formaldehyde in it, I was told sulfate and paraben free products are best, since using them I’ve seen a big difference Love your videos❤
Sorry to hear that 💔,but happy to hear your is back on track. I personally didn't have a bad experience, but I haven't purchased any of their products since I heard about the lawsuit.
Total Body is a moisture restorer so it’s not for a deep cleanse. It’s just used after a clarifying to put the moisture back. So it makes sense that you don’t get a tingle or deep cleanse and it made your locs soft. That’s all it’s for 😂😂😂 The stimulating shampoo should be used after you have rinsed your locs for about 3-5 minutes and I use a small amount of a cheaper shampoo to just break everything up then the stimulating shampoo. Thanks for this video. I learned about some shampoos I want to try.
I have seborrheic dermatitis. I have to use a prescribed medicinal oil on my scalp before washing, then Neutrogena TGel to clarify, followed by Aussie Moisture shampoo (if I feel my Locs are dry) Without TGel, my scalp is hella itchy and irritated
Hey Sharmel! I’ve heard Melanin Haircare’s shampoo is really good too! I have my starter loc appointment next week, so excited for the journey! Thanks for the video!
This was very helpful, I'm 7 days in with my starters and worried about the wash process... can you do one like this for the oils you use, which cause buildup? Lighter? Etc.
Thanks so much for doing this! I’m 3 months in and I’m so afraid of build up! 🫣 I’m going to try the Dr. Locs brand and see how that goes. As far as conditioning, I’ve started using a water based leave in conditioner in hopes to add moisture without the build up. My next retwist is Thursday so I’m going to have my loctian see if I have any build up and that will determine whether or not I continue using it.

Thanks for the warning
I love Trader Joe’s tea tree shampoo and conditioner
Can you get it from like Walmart or Target? Or did you order yours?
🏆 Fantasia Tea Tree Naturals Shampoo (Clarifying)
🏆 Design Essentials Honey Crème Shampoo (Moisturizing)
🏆 Design Essentials Rosemary & Mint Conditioner
You can ad a drop of tea tree essential oil to your shampoo. Depending on how often you wash your hair Trager Joes is the one.
And...... It is either 3.99 so don't get ripped of by resellers.
your locs are flourishing!!
Thank you!
I just use a drop or two in my clarifying shampoo ... I like the tea tree or peppermint Dr. Bronners

i agree, it didn't work for my hair.

The Best shampoo is Black Jamaica soap
I want a good shampoo bar to stop my plastic waste...
Sameeee just tired of bottles falling in the shower 😮💨😂
@@dramaqueen9299 correct!
JR Liggetts makes great ones. Just be sure to form a lather and not rub the soap on your hair: chunks of soap can get trapped in your locs.
Do you have a video on how scrunchies thin your locs and how to avoid them I’ve noticed some of mine are thin after wearing 2 ponytails
I think your comment solved the reason my locs are thinning only in the area where I wear scrunchies. Let me stop now.
I use the taliah wajis oil haven't tried shampoo....
Cantu have a new cleansing restore I want to try
Knotty dread shampoo

You're welcome! I forgot to mention in the video, but I'd also recommend water based products for locs.
