  • Second part of my "Learn Finnish Verbs" Series!
    In this video I will be talking about the Sinä and Hän forms of the type 1 verbs in Finnish.
    ALSO I will only be talking about the type 1 verbs, because there are actually 5 different verb forms. To make things simpler I'm just giving examples from the most common category as a place to start :)
    ~~~~~~~~~ANSWERS~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Nauraa ( to laugh )
    Minä nauran
    Sinä naurat
    Hän nauraa
    Itkeä ( to cry )
    Minä itken
    Sinä itket
    Hän itkee
    Now... your videos are very interesting. You explain things very well. Kiitos paljon.
  • @davidmadisontheguardian
    @davidmadisontheguardian Рік тому
    You did very well in explaining. Just because you have to say something differently several times, doesn't mean you're not communicating well. Rather, it CLARIFIES. It may SOUND like extra words; but those extra words give more examples. I now understand the 3 first cases for conjugating verbs. Something that wasn't making that much sense to me while studying Duolingo.
    Personally, I learn by watching many different styles of teaching, many videos from many different channels giving varying perspectives. I study the general picture; and then move into more detailed understanding as I go along. This helps me to teach things to almost anyone.
    For instance, learning to tie the Bowline knot, was extremely difficult for me at first... something about a rabbit and a tree; but never knew what hole the rabbit was jumping out of, or which direction that rascal was running around the tree. So, I studied over maybe 50 videos, tied those knots over and over again; until I began to get this intuitive understanding of the knot, itself. This led to understanding that with a few tweaks, many knots can transform into totally different knots. It taught me to tie things both right handed and left handed.
    Anyway, I subscribed, and will be watching most if not all of your videos.
    Have confidence in your ability to teach this. It's a difficult subject and you're doing a fine job!
    • @jounisuninen
      @jounisuninen 5 років тому
      olla
      I am = (minä) olen
      you are = (sinä) olet
      he is = hän on
      So in the 3rd person you almost always need to say "hän" but in the 1st and 2nd person it is not usually necessary to say "minä" and "sinä".
