Sweet video! Looks like such a fun day! We've been wanting to try the power plant out, but haven't made it there yet. Looks like you guys fish a lot of the same areas we do. Maybe we'll see ya on the water!

Thank you! The power plant can be productive, you just gotta fish it in the right conditions and hope there isn't too much boat pressure. If you see us on the water send us a wave!

Looks like a fun trip....dont most of yalls specks migrate south for winter? I caught a tagged trout last november that was tagged at fort monroe pier in virginia and i fish pamlico sound in nc.

Yes most of our trout migrate south in the winter. We are lucky a few hang around this area with the warm water discharge. We vacation in the outer banks year and have been staying in Rodanthe the past couple years. There is some great speck fishing in the sounds down there. WE usually fish from kayaks when we go.

So I live in Charles County. I usually fish the Patuxent out at Benedict and Prince Frederick. Are there any good public boat ramps in Calvert County to get to the bay? I tried looking on google maps but I can’t find anything.

Solomons Island has a boat ramp. It's on the Pax and it less than five miles from the bay.

@@matthewwhite3444 I’ll have to give it a shot. Need to get out next year and explore more. I have been rebuilding a 14ft gamefisher tri hull for the past year. I think it’s as good as I’m going to get it so I want to be able to take it places without getting into waters that are too rough for it lol

@@gonzalomanriquezjr864 I hear you on that. As long as the wind speeds are in the single digits, you should be ok.

This video certainly proves wrong all the naysayers claiming you can't catch fish in the winter. I always tell them you can catch them all winter; you just have to find the exact hole they're in, and put the bait right on top of them.

Exactly! Fish can be caught year round, it just takes some searching to find them and they aren't always willing to bite. But there are plenty of locations in the Bay that have fish in the winter.
