As someone who has used both a Gaming PC(last 2 years) and laptop(last 5years) , for 3D modelling and rendering i think only after you have a decent enough laptop you should build a PC as there's ONE FACTOR U cannot list on the spec sheet but matters a lot and that's CONVENIENCE!

I am always on the go. As an editor, a powerful compact laptop with a decent battery life makes a lot of sense. I am keen on getting the Asus G 14 as it hits the sweet spot between price, performance, and battery life.

I think if your budget is 50-55K for full setup build (monitor, keyboard, mouse included) then you can buy anything with the 55K Budget you get a laptop with Ryzen 5 3550H + GTX 1650 and for pc you get Ryzen 5 3500 + 1650 super. So, Pc is just little faster but I think that doesn't matter if with laptop you get portability with a sacrifice of little performance.
1650 super is way faster than 1650

For upgrading Graphics in Laptop, it can be done with Thunderbolt, provided that the Laptop has Thunderbolt Port support.

Then why heck literal gaming laptops are in market.Do you know that now we can upgrade processor of some laptops and the performance gap between laptop and desktop is less than 12%.But the size difference and cooling difference is huge and do you consider not using the word gaming for only losing 12% for portability,battery life ...even 1kv ups cant get a gaming ahead of 1hour and the power surge.I lost 3 motherboards even i have a silver grade psu.So considering that some laptops are somewhat worst for pricing but there are many golden laptops which gives price per performance value

Not a fair comparision to be honest. A laptop comes with a 1080p anti-glare display, backlit keyboard, touchpad, Dolby/Max speakers, 720p Web camera, genuine copy of Windows with Microsoft office support and 1 year warranty. While a custom built P.C. doesn't include that. If you add all those stuff to a custom P.C., you'll end up paying as much as a laptop with the same specs. And that's not even taking the portability and battery usage factor of a laptop into consideration.
But uf you need to upgrade in future which is possible in pc

Gaming Pc without a doubt. Gaming laptops may churn out similar performance during their youth but as laptop starts ageing, heating problems would be there and throttling would start happening lowering down the performance over time.Plus laptop gpu can't be upgraded.PC is the clear winner
