  • In our latest video, join us as we embark on a culinary adventure to How Ji Roaster Rice, a hidden gem nestled within Hup Kee kopitiam in Pulau Tikus, Penang. Specializing in authentic Hong Kong-style roast meats such as succulent duck, savory pork, and mouthwatering char siu, this lesser-known stall is a haven for locals and Penangites seeking flavorsome delights away from the tourist crowds.
    Accompanied by my son and daughter, we delve into the world of Cantonese roast meats, indulging in a feast of crispy roast pork, tender duck, and perfectly barbecued char siu. While my personal favorite is the roast duck noodles, today's menu features a delightful combination of crispy roast pork and duck served with fragrant rice, alongside egg noodles topped with flavorful char siu, much to the delight of my kids.
    Operating from 10 am to 5 pm on weekdays and closed on Sundays, How Ji Roaster Rice may be a hidden gem, but its culinary prowess speaks volumes. Whether you're a local food enthusiast or a traveler seeking authentic flavors, this is a must-visit destination for lovers of Hong Kong-style roast meats.

    Now that you mentioned about Bee Hooi kopitiam, there's 1 Nasi Lemak stall which is run by autistic kids with a supervisor. Go support! :)

    No doubt you are a loving dad to your kids but do you realise that maybe it is not such a good idea to take your kids from one hawker food to another?

    • @pishedbloke
      @pishedbloke  14 днів тому

      Why not? They are with me all the time instead of other people.

      @@pishedbloke Sorry, what I meant is do you think it is good to encourage them to develop a love for unhealthy oily hawker food?

      @@michaelgoh121 I think you can't stop kids or any people from loving good food unless you never let them eat the food at all. For me as long as we eat everything in moderation it is fine. Most of the time I cook at home actually and I even wake up at 5am everyday on weekdays to cook lunches for the kids. Dinners are also cooked by me and I have my mom come over too at least 3 times a week. Restricting foods is the best way to create cravings and over-indulgence it is much better to teach self discipline and control.
