Absolutely love this project. I have roosters and hens on my kitchen walls. Never intended to, but I bought a spectacular w.c. painting of a white rooster with blues and reds. “ His Majesty” is beautiful. That started people buying ceramic chickens for me ever since. ( STOP ALREADY). Thank you for showing me how to paint another beauty!
As a retired HS Art teacher, I so appreciate your teaching videos and style. I found you about 1 month ago, and can’t wait for new videos. Absolutely love your blooper endings!
There is just something wonderful about roosters and chickens! I painted one for my mom for this past Mother's Day and just loves it! She still raves about it, so much better than giving flowers this year 😄
Thank you Louise , I find myself unable to balance my life and I currently don’t have a turn off switch , art is all I think about and it’s all I want to do , from the moment I wake up I grab a cup of coffee, my paint brush and turn on you tube and will be at it all day and night ,the dishes and dust bunnies are piling up around me and dinner , pffft , someone else can cook! I really appreciate you sharing that you were having difficulty finding that perfect balance as well , I don’t feel so bad now other artists struggle with it too! I will definitely check out skill share and join your patron! Thank you again and for the beautiful rooster painting , I am going to paint it for my mother in law, I already did the chicken and she loved it ! …….one more thing I just received your book on painting sea life and I love it !!! Blessings
“I accept what it gives me.” That’s a beautiful statement. I’ve recently started teaching watercolor classes and it’s been interesting to see how my students want to control the paint. I keep reminding them it’s watercolor and to let it flow and bloom. I may need to use your phrase. Kinda like accepting what life throws at you. I also tell my students that for me it’s about letting The Holy Spirit work through me. I may not even think while painting. Just let my hand go and create with what the paint is doing. Thank you for sharing so many tips. Your art is gorgeous.
Hi Louise I love your tutorial and your style of teaching. I am wondering if you would consider doing a tutorial for an Australian Magpie ? I have not seen any artists here on youtube paint a magpie in water colour and really would love to learn how. Cheers Judy
Good morning Louise, Ive recently started watercolor painting and have viewed many tutorials. As soon as I watched my first tutorial from you I knew that was the style of painting I wanted achieve. Watching you paint is very therapeutic as well as educational. I haven't seen any tutorials of sandhill cranes, have you ever done one? I would love to be able to paint a greeting card for my neighbors. They have a pair with a young baby that visit daily and they enjoy them. Painting them I thought would be a nice gift for them to enjoy.Thank you for your inspiration. Lucie G
Louise you are a delight! Humble, talented and fun! I love your bloopers. I can only hope to be half as creative as yourself! God bless! 🇨🇦👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🙏🏽🙏🏼☝🏻
@@LouiseDeMasi i do photography, it was first thing i saw 😅. Such a luxury, nice, soft focus. It is pricey, but when you see the difference, you just cant go back. Youre son is sweetheart. Cheff kiss

Hi Louise, I’m with you on patreon and made already quite a few very nice paintings and my family and friends love them. I just finished the chicken and rooster as well and put them nicely together on one sheet of paper and it’s looking really great. Thanks and regards down under! From Dutch Marianne
Do you have a recommendation for how to transfer an image from a reference photo to watercolor paper? I’ve seen all the various methods, hoping to find a projector if you know of a good one for artists.
Hi Louise, I absolutely adore everything you do here on your channel. I just wanted to ask if your skillshare videos are on your patreon also? I'm starting a free month of Skillshare and I don't think I'll finish your Chrisanthneum before my membership expires... and I'd rather be a patron of yours anyway 🙃

Outstanding
Beautiful Video. Your style is amazing!
Beautiful colours on this rooster. The simple details on the neck feathers were just right, I always get too fussy.
Cannot wait to try the chicken and the rooster! God bless you and your work! The galah is my favorite!

Hi! I was wondering if you could do a tutorial of a colorful eagle?
Do you have a recommendation for how to transfer an image from a reference photo to watercolor paper? I’ve seen all the various methods, hoping to find a projector if you know of a good one for artists.
The best way is a lightbox or projector. Other options would be grid method
A sunny window can serve as a light box, or you can use graphite paper.
I use ipad at max brightness, layer wcolor paper on the screen, and trace it. Of course limitation is the size of the iPad screen
Try looking up Camera lucida…. Amazing optical device for capturing images on drawing media.
I really love this colourful rooster Louise and enjoyed seeing how you simplified the feather detail. It’s stunning! Congratulations on 100k too! 😊💜
Coucou de France. 😊
The transition of color fading to light outline is a very artistic! Love how it focuses the eye and interest 🥰
Would like a video tutorial on bag of lemons
Did you film this in your new studio?
💗
