As a person who used to ride bikes but is now essentially home bound and no longer able to travel due to health, this video is wonderful. Thank you Mark for being kind enough to share.

What a great film you have made! Very inspiring! I stood in line at Gryllefjord in Senja when you came off the ferry, coming south from Nordkapp.
Thanks Eirik. We both had fantastic weather that day then. Curiously just behind us coming into Nordkapp was a Scottish group playing bagpipe music and wearing kilts on their bikes as they arrived, and we were in touch with them too.

Brilliant! Having once driven up and down Trollstigen in a camper van (and also along the Atlantic road) you shots really brought that all back so thanks! An epic bike trip for you...

@@MarkEveCertainly did! Terrific country for scenery and road trips. Did you have any problem with midges/mosquitos at the time you went?
@@bluevanimaging9998 Yes, but only really badly in one place. The Saltfjellet National Park was reputed to be bad, but we didn't find it a problem. Near Andenes was pretty bad when we stopped. Fine whilst moving, attacked as soon as we stopped. Without a doubt the worst was between Utsjoki and Inari in Finland. People were even walking about with nets over themselves to protect from the insects and as soon as you stopped, you were swarmed. Everywhere else was fine.
@@MarkEve Thanks for midge info, we're thinking of doing a Hurtigruten coastal ferry trip next year, with possible trips inland so knowing heavy midge areas to avoid is useful! My wife was also fascinated by your Trolstigen, Atlantic road and others including the Oresund bridge all of which we've driven in the past (not by bike, sadly!) Cheers, Bill

Hi, best time for what we did is late June, when the snow was cleared eg from Trollstigen to late September before the weather turns again. You also have super long daylight.
For the GPS files, I will look to make them available.

How many days and roughly how many miles did you ride per day?
We averaged around 300 miles a day during the whole trip. With the days being as long as they are in summer, plus the speed limits being low, not tiring at all to manage this.
and we did it over 17 days
