- Our 2016 European Motorbike tour, A Scandinavian Adventure!
We leave Scotland heading to England for the ferry to The Netherlands. Head through Germany to Denmark then on to Norway, Sweden back to Denmark and Germany on our way home.
An epic 18 days taking in classic roads like the Atlantic Road, Trollstigen, Eagle Road and Geirangerfjord. Visiting towns such as Bergen, Copenhagen and many more.
Best viewed with a beer or two, please enjoy.

The wife and I just returned to Melbourne Australia from a 9,000km bike trip across Europe September & October 2023. Picked up the GS in London then Newcastle, your ferry to Holland then up to Bergen! Meandered back down to the Mediterranean, then up to St Malo, Wales, Bath and London. Epic! Loved Norway. I agree...maybe the best motorcycling tour videos among what are some strong contenders in the category....this video could probably sell alot of motorcycles....and Helen is super good on camera pretty easy on the eyes too.
You two are the best bike film makers on UA-cam, by far. Its a real joy to watch your movies. I do not understand how your subscription is so small. I will be sharing all your films as its a shame more people aren't seeing them. Keep it up guys, well done.

I successfully managed to avoid watching this video for 2+ years due to having to cancel our own trip to Norway twice. I stuck it on the watch list, knowing that I'd finally watch it in the weeks running up to the trip. Watched and thoroughly enjoyed. Can't wait to finally see Norway! Hope you enjoy this years trip, you've earned it!

What a great adventure you both had, the video was AWESOME, the editing, the mix of scenery, the “focus on the road” bit had me in stitches thinking how eerie and incredible all at the same time. I’ve been fortunate to travel the Bergen to Alesund route, trollstigen road and Gereingerfjord are two of my favourites. I enjoyed reliving lots of those memories through you guys. I am hoping you have lots more content the same, it’s a joy to watch you both and the fun you inject into the video. So go explore and “God save the Queen” as you march out while Helen continues her pursuit of the elusive elk.......
Thanks John, glad you enjoyed it. Was a hell of a trip but Norway is stunning, we got spoiled by scenery and mostly good weather. The Trollstigen is probably my favourite road and hope to do it again one day and maybe find an elk or two😜

The moss or lichen is called reinslav. The reindeer love it. Elk or moose you will see all year round and usually at dusk. When it is most likely to cause an accident. So consider yourself lucky. Anyway love your style and sense of humour. Cheers:)

Thanks for posting this, sorry to hear about your cousin. When I clicked this, I thought, "80 minutes of motorcycle video? Surely that must get stale after 20 minutes," since most the motorcycle videos I watch are shorter than that, and even some of those get a little stale before the end. But this! As others have mentioned, the editing, and your ... charisma? is just stellar! This should be on ... whatever motorcycle travellers watch (besides UA-cam..). The quality and entertainment value of this video is, in my opinion, only rivaled by the Long Way- series, which is NOT freely available on UA-cam...

Only recently stumbled on your channel because we’re trying to find ideas and routes for a trip to Norway next summer (Covid permitting of course). Some of the best quality production on UA-cam and absolutely love your sense of fun. As everyone else has said, you should have thousands more subscribers than you do.
If you ever set something up to enable sharing the GPX route file I’d welcome a copy but no worries if you don’t.

You should definitely come back some day, there are many more spectacular mountain roads to explore.
We're coming back one day! Loved Norway, thought it was the most naturally beautiful place I've seen and coming from Scotland that says a lot, and like Scotland the West is the most scenic 😀 Keep hoping they re-introduce the ferry links from Scotland to Norway though, it's a big detour otherwise.
Nice one - that's the second trip I have watched of yours - I did a similar trip to Nordkapp - so nice to see the same places - like Helen we rode all over Norway Sweden and Finland and I never ever saw a moose once - they are a myth - anyway we found a moose sanctuary and we went in and I saw them in fact loads of them - came out of the sanctuary turned left onto the road and within 5 mins I saw a wild one behind a fence that ran along the road anyway enough of my rubbish gotta go as I spotted one of your other vids - take care both of you

I do love to watch trips like this, but it is so much more enjoyable when you show the list of places you stayed at. Is Stade a town in Germany, or just the Dutch name for a stadium. Hotel names are great as well. Roads taken make it brilliant. You could turn it into a travel book. If you do, let me know.

Very nice video about your trip to Norway! Iv seen all your video's now. I watched them during my workouts on a spinning bike (with my own spinning-music). Next year Im going to Norway on my bike with my wife (1200RT). You stayed in very nice cabins and hotels. I also like the route you followed. Do you have a GPX file somewhere so I can download the route? And do you also have the addresses off the places you spend the night? Hoping to hear from you. Regards, Taco.

Love and enjoy all your videos. Some of the best on UA-cam. Only thing sometimes Helen whispers and we cannot hear or understand what she is saying. Any way to increase the volume on her speaking parts? Cheers from the USA.
Hopefully the audio improves as we, and the technology, get better in later videos. We just do it for fun and are definitely not pros 👍🏍
How much and how fast was the Hirtshals ferry? I'm thinking of taking it next time I'm over. I've used the bridge to Sweden before but never the boat.
Back in 2016 it was £200 and about 2.5 hours
