I've watched this fan-made trailer several times, LOVE it! I've seen all 3 episodes of the actual series and I am hooked! Yet in all honesty, the series will get the ratings it well deserves. Beautifully fan made trailer I must say. Hypothetically speaking It would be great if Will Smith acted as a mentor to the will in this by using his past experiences from the original show. It would be a cool way to pay even more homage to the original while bringing more to the story.
I was very young when I saw this scene. It gave me goose bumps...the silence before he cried and asked "why doesn't my father want me" broke me down and gave me emotions I hadn't experienced before. When uncle Phil hugged him...I was like woah, what happened to my funny tv show. I grew up on this show...I watched it every day until it ended. They need to make this a series and not a movie. It should never end.......
I read somewhere Will Smith let out real emotions and so did uncle Phil. I recall them saying he got into the scene and gave him memories or something about his own life and so on and so forth. The hug I think wasnt in the script. Dont quote me... No matter what...this show was poppen back in the day. I'm 40 now. I love the idea of a remake. Check this out...I dont even know you or anyone here but it gave us something positive to talk about. Any show can do that...is a great show in my opinion..

I think it wouldn't be as impactful. This is meant to be a drama. In the sitcom it was usually fun and games and then that pops scene went and crushed souls and nobody was ready
The reason it made you cry so bad was because it was such a dramatic turn from how the show always was. Thats why it worked. Doing the same thing in a movie like this would just feel like another throw away moment in the movie.

However, this new one premiering soon on Peacock, I'm open to it and definitely willing to watch the show. But I have my eye on Morgan Cooper. This has incredible lighting, the cinematography is fantastic, the acting is very solid, the editing flows incredibly well, the colorist is one of the best in the world-I could go on and on and I wasn’t even part of the project. Morgan Cooper (Cooper Films, the writer, director, and cinematographer of this film) is a force to be reckoned with and you are seriously downplaying this mans abilities if you are crediting it to just 4K camera and great lenses.

This is not an official trailer. It's a short film. The rights to fresh prince of belair belong to NBC. They still air reruns and will never give up rights. It's unfortunate, but a reboot won't happen, not least for several decades or until Netflix, Hulu, ect. buy the networks. Beautifully fan made trailer I must say. Hypothetically speaking It would be great if Will Smith acted as a mentor to the will in this by using his past experiences from the original show. It would be a cool way to pay even more homage to the original while bringing more to the story.

I was very young when I saw this scene. It gave me goose bumps...the silence before he cried and asked "why doesn't my father want me" broke me down and gave me emotions I hadn't experienced before. When uncle Phil hugged him...I was like woah, what happened to my funny tv show.
I grew up on this show...I watched it every day until it ended.

I think it wouldn't be as impactful. This is meant to be a drama. In the sitcom it was usually fun and games and then that pops scene went and crushed souls and nobody was ready
The reason it made you cry so bad was because it was such a dramatic turn from how the show always was. Thats why it worked. Doing the same thing in a movie like this would just feel like another throw away moment in the movie.

After now able to judge both the 2019 conception and the 2022 studio trailer - this 2019 cast and vibes is much better than the one we're getting next month, in my opinion. Pity this cast wasn't taken forward to the full blown 2022 series was they all nailed it.

I soooo wished Will would’ve taken this trailer, this vision, this casting, maybe throw in 1 or 2 named talents, but definitely kept this Will and this Jazz. I thought Will’s mom was so authentic too. This trailer is much more intriguing and relatable. Hats off to Morgan Cooper who was both the director and cinematographer for this trailer. I think the reason why is because shows these days have a certain look/feel to them to keep with the network's standards, but with this trailer being an independent project, Cooper got to give it his own touch with his own style, which I found refreshingly different and intriguing. However, this new one premiering soon on Peacock, I'm open to it and definitely willing to watch the show. But I have my eye on Morgan Cooper. I think he's definitely a writer/producer/director to watch.

This has incredible lighting, the cinematography is fantastic, the acting is very solid, the editing flows incredibly well, the colorist is one of the best in the world-I could go on and on and I wasn’t even part of the project. Morgan Cooper (Cooper Films, the writer, director, and cinematographer of this film) is a force to be reckoned with and you are seriously downplaying this mans abilities if you are crediting it to just 4K camera and great lenses.

This is not an official trailer. It's a short film. The rights to fresh prince of belair belong to NBC. They still air reruns and will never give up rights. It's unfortunate, but a reboot won't happen, not least for several decades or until Netflix, Hulu, ect. buy the networks. Which is a possibility since networks are dying and streaming service brands are already worth several times over them.
