Spanish Mackerel aren't illegal to keep. My 44 pound and 48 pound Reds from Galveston will eat those Reds. Still enjoyed watching this. AND why didn't you bend the hook back?

A spanish mackerel under 12" is illegal to keep. Those were clearly under 12"
