love bowditch. such a great shore spot. the channel being RIGHT there brings in the sharks. great for casting for sharks. great shark bait you caught. i hook into many rays for bait there. with rays, when they stick to the bottom like that, flick your line while its tight and itll get them off the bottom. they hate that lol.

That’s a great beach cart set up with the rods cooler chairs the whole shot. I’m sure you’ll make good use out of it. The rays are a pain in the neck to unhook, but it’s fun just to catch them for a fight, especially on like tackle. 4:37

I was in that exact same spot and got sharks and some big sail cats. I'd love to get some reds there

    Hey, love the vids!
We have a 2nd house on Sanibel and love to fish when there. Do you or anyone have any recommendations for a rod and reel combo for casting bigger mullet? My current rod and reel combos are pretty lightweight and great for average snook and SeaTrout. But don’t feel like they’re made for casting out heavy bait.

spinfisher 6500 or slammer 6500. as to the rod, there are many options. look for something in the 7' med-heavy range and you'll be good.

@@Lonk8353 thank you. We live on freshwater up north, and we’re not allowed to use live fish as bait (outside of shinners and minnows). So using mullet and whiting as bait was new to me until a few yrs ago.
