Despite several prominent members of the Mario fandom uploading defense videos for our favorite mustached plumber, Video Game theory *RUINED* Mario’s reputation for years in the video game community. The sad thing is, most of it was based on Lies and conjecture. And no, Mario is not Donkey-punching Yoshi to make him extend his tongue, he’s pointing to signal at him where to fire it. You can clearly see this on the Wii’s boxart It took the fandom a long time to restore his credibility. Mario has _always_ been a good guy and always been there for his brother and his long-time sweetheart (peach) I’m glad the movie finally depicted the brothers the way they always should have been. 😊
I dont know what happened but the guy was trying to keep himself calm and said many times he didnt want help, Poor luigi is a good person but sometimes he should just keep things to himself.
Actually one of the main reasons he get himself into some shit, wasn’t Luigi’s mansion started because He wanted to help Egad? Too nosy/naive/nice, and clearly that’s both his pros and cons
While I enjoy this comic, I agree that Luigi's role could've been done a little better. I think a way to do it would be by having Luigi wait longer after he's told to wait in the van. You could have a scene transition where a lot of time has gone by. Then cut to the inside of the car where Mario and Luigi are getting bored. Luigi could be like "Alright, I think we waited long enough. I'm gonna see if he needs help." Mario could say, "Okay, but if he says he's almost done just get back inside. The last thing we need is another screw-up. Let me know if he needs both of us to do something." Luigi notices the umbrella. He takes a good look at it. Luigi decides to pick it up and bring it with him. Luigi: If nothing else, I could cover him from the rain." Mario: Yeah, just be careful with that umbrella. That belongs to Spike." Luigi smiles at Mario and gets outside. Luigi gets outside like he is in the comic. Luigi: Hey need any help? You've been out here for a while. I could cover you with your umbrella. Would that make things easier? Spike: No, I got it. You can put that back, just be gentle with it. I'm almost done. You can stay in the van. Once I get this fixed, let's get some pizza. I'll pay. Luigi: Well...if you need anything else just let me or Mario know. Spike: Alright, I holler if I need you guys. Then a gust of wind starts blowing in Spike and Luigi's direction. The wind pulls on the umbrella. Luigi struggles to get a good grasp on the umbrella. Mario reacts in shock looking out the window. Spike begins to yell at him. Spike: Hey, be careful with that! Hold on to it, it's gonna blow away! This causes a difficult situation where Spike is worried if Luigi lets go the umbrella will fly away if he holds on too tightly, he could break it. Spike continues to yell hold on. Luigi tries his best to hold on to the umbrella. It begins to slip through his hands. Luigi feels if he loosens his grip, it will fly out of his hands. Spike notices Luigi's getting more aggressive with the umbrella. He's playing tug of war with the wind. Spike yells at Luigi one more time. Spike: Hey, Luigi! Don't be so... Luigi can't take getting yelled at by Spike anymore he aggressively pulls on the umbrella causing it to break. The wind at this moment finally dies down. Spike looks completely devastated. Luigi as well. Luigi falls to his knees trying to fix it. Luigi begins to tear up. Luigi: "Oh, no what've I done?" Mario gets out of the car immediately trying to comfort his bro. Spike has a flashback of how he got his umbrella. It shows him sitting on a bench on a rainy day. A woman puts out an umbrella above Spike's head covering his head. It's the same umbrella. The woman and Spike form a romantic relationship. One day the woman gets sick and passes away. After the funeral, the umbrella is given to him by the woman's parents as a gift. Spike embraces her parents with a big hug. We now see Spike at his job holding his umbrella on a rainy day. We cut back to the present where Spike is fuming leading to his big blow-up like it was in the comic. Spike: (to Luigi) You idiot! I trusted you with that umbrella! Luigi: I... I. I'm sorry. Mario: It wasn't his fault, it was the wi... Spike: I don't want to hear it! I should have never hired you! Just something neat that could be added to future comics. 🙂

It doesn't matter if Luigi had good intentions, the fact is he didn't listen. And him not listening may be part of the reason they lost the client.
Agreed. Spike shouldn't have yelled at Luigi like that and Mario has a right to try to defend his brother, but Luigi should have listened and stayed in the van.
