3:12 you could have let the explosion kill the other oxplosion creature. 3:17 you could have just killed the scrounger, the drops would move the bomb out of the way. 3:28 you can pick that up later, losing 1 damage and speed before clearing the room might have made it so you couldn't clear it.
Thanks so much! I'm glad you are finding improvement in your runs. It feels incredibly satisfying when you can feel confident in your decisions around the ring :)
Nice! Really enjoy the tutorials. Helped me a lot while getting back into it. Also, finally managed to get my 60+ speed achievement on a winning medium run, again with Maniacal! Small note, when having things like Black Opal, always throw the other items you want to sacrifice to the wishing well first before doing Black opal, since it gets 1 extra point of clarity when an item slot opens up after sacrificing an item.
just got the game a couple days ago. to my surprise it went on sale for 50% off, meaning I paid 18,99 for it. I'm a sucker for a good discount, and it was time. Been having fun with it, but struggling to make it past depth 6, though I did get to depth 12 once, and I've unlocked 26 achievements so far. I'm really enjoying it, but i'm determined to master it.
Damn, 5HP run sounds really hard. Nowhere close to getting that yet. Perhaps high speed, high attack, high crit and try to kill everything without ever being hit is the only way I can think of making this work. Maybe a heavy splash damage build and some very careful play around explosions and poison damage may also work if you have enough one shot potential. Changeling belt to guarantee helpful stat pickups while lowering HP to the required amount in the late game. Having high enough defense + pierce damage reduction of at least 1 to prevent getting one shot when you are in a situation you have to pass over enemies may also be a viable work around. Explosion immunity can also be good if it's difficult to work around explosion damage, and also Camouflage for range damage immunity.
i did it.. i beat the owl!!! goes to show watching your videos helped. my build was incredible took advise from you. i could have killed two owls lol :) :)
i finally got to a boss after a month of playing. im getting better. im on xbox? whether thats different than on pc? i had poisen damage toall enemies to help me get there.and my health was regenerating somehow.. i got wrecked though in the boss area hahaha
You got it! Games like these just take time an patience to find what works and what doesn't. Plus you are always fighting against the pressure of RNG working against you. As long as you find it fun you will find yourself some wins! Hope the guides help
@@TheAbsoluteWorst2021 update ended up making it to room 15 so far so progress, it's always fun when you get two unpassable 100 health walls on both sides on the first room
@@metalflameful That room can be a bit frustrating sometimes. I always pick one direction to go and only head that way so that I can pass the walls before they become animated. As long as you only travel in one direction and don't double back you should always be able to get out unless you have items that add cards to a room
I don’t get what the fuzz is about when playing normal. You can literally put an auto clicker on and you will get through the game 30% of the time without touching anything….. And doing achievements on anything other than hard difficulty, why even play a game and not just watch a movie instead?
The whole point of this video is simply to break down a portion of the game and share some information with others. People unfamiliar with these types of games need some way of breaking into the game which is what makes normal a great place to start. It may not be your preference but it serves its purpose
@@TheAbsoluteWorst2021 You are right of course, and these videos are much needed. I do appologize, my comment was out of place. Misdirected frustration if anything, not aimed at you or the video. I should have just sent a mail to developers and tell them how I think it's stupid that with a few exceptions, most achievements can simply be done on easy making the toughest challenges of the game the only thing that is not rewarding in any way. I mean why sweat it on the hard difficulty when you can get the job done with settings meant for people trying out the game the first time around..... Kudos for replying to my comment anyhow, keep it up!
@@narcopolo4464 Not a problem man and honestly my reply was in no way out of anger back at you. We all get frustrated with things from time to time and I can 100% see where you are coming from in terms of many of the achievements being more or less busy work while playing easy as opposed to genuine challenges when playing on the other difficulties. All in all I just hope you are well and if you have any other things about the game that you think could be critiqued you should totally join the RoP discord. This was a great video. My runs have improved greatly after finding your channel. Thanks and looking forward to seeing what you put out next!

Good catch on the opal tech! I'll definitely remember that for the future. Congrats on the achievement! They are working on more to come

In wishful you should sacrifice items like black opal last, because they gain +2 from previously 2 sacrificed items
Good point! Thanks for pointing this out!
Some great tips there! I’ve 5 achievements away from getting them all and I’m still learning. 5 HP run is one that keeps beating me.

That's awesome! I have to focus on a couple in the near future to unlock some more items! Keep it up. Maybe we will have some guides in the future!
@@luka188 Yup. Some solid tips. Thanks you. I’ve tried with the Chaotic Underwear but poison helmet is also a lifesaver! I’ll keep at it 👍
