you literally just did the hardest ending on your first win.
IMO killing the owl is simpler than the other. you can just run away from the owl alot and just blast him with explosive enemy aoe.

That makes me think that you have not gotten to ALL of the endings…
Ring of Pain came out with only the Owl path (I think it was still early access) and then came the lit path which was made to intentionally be a harder challenge to players. So no... not the hardest.
Well boys, it took 8 episodes but Olexa finally learned the shocking revelation that taking items is a good idea

watching him completely ignore the aoe attack from the owl was both impressive and hard to watch
If you delete a gem (for example with wishful) that gives "+1 stat for every empty slot" you keep those stats permanently

Ah rip that explains it. I was going to comment the same thing when I saw you leave Wishful with the gem still equipped.
That's one of the BEST uses for Wishful, especially early on in a run- Taking one of those items that gives you increased stat per empty item slot, dumping two other items you have into wishful, and then using the third wish on getting rid of the item that gives you the stat per empty slot for massive permanent stat gains.
Wouldn't have mattered because you got destroyed immediately afterward by a ranged unit spawning right next to you, but it's just a thing to know for the future.
Could have sworn that it didn't work that way, I'll have to try that again next time since I have been playing the game again because of the series
@@majorasmaskguy_8452 Can confirm; the synergy. The gems/ items like the shield Boolster that give stats for empty slots are goated for the well and the Siphon spellbook

One thing I wanna tell you is that you despise many items saying they're trash when in truth either they aren't or at most they are situational, but not inherently bad. Experiment! Take items you sometimes don't take too because you can find unexpected synergies, this game is great at doing that n.n
And please, for the love of god, don't despise jars, they're great items and having 3 free stat ups is not to be joke about, most of the times many common items offer the same amount of stats as a jar, but they will be substituted really soon in the run, while the stats from the jar are permanent! If you see one early, take it (Specially considering the Replenish Scroll) n.n

@@PlsInsertNameHere well, in the beginning you do not understand shit about the game so its better to play good things only, once you understand the game a bit you can start to branch out. But yeah Tyler still has some way to go in order to fully understand how the game works.

Seeing him just face tank the owl attack that you can dodge by moving to the side is crazy. Also huge congrats on killing the owl which is generally considered the hardest ending.
So fun thing about poison, health potions immediately remove all of it, even if you get cursed.
Theres only a couple items that outright negate poison damage, one that caps its damage to a low amount and 2 that can cure it: one is the Cure spell that also heals you for 3 (you really shouldn't skip it do quickly) and another purple grade spellbook.
you can walk past the explosive enemies that dont follow you and only take one damage AND the ones that do follow its usually less damage to pass the monster on the turn it explodes and will stay in position to hit the monster you passed
Quick tip about petrify, since I saw you skipped the Legendary boots because they gave -5 attack. Petrify basically counts as damage that ignores the enemy defense. It says that it reduces the enemy's max HP, but what it actually does is that it stacks on an enemy, and if that enemy's current health reaches equal or less than petrify stacks, it immediately dies. The boots gave you "+1 petrify for every 4 max health" and you had 44 (42 after the item), so that'd be +10 petrify on each attack. You'd have lost 5 normal attack, but would've gained 10 defense-ignoring attack.
Keep an eye out for petrify, it's an amazing mechanic with incredible item synergies, and it rewards defensive play-styles so it's usually also pretty safe. I've won most of my games with tanky petrify combos that end up with negative attack and speed (sometimes clarity too) but a truckload of HP and Defense and I just kill things via petrify damage. Don't sleep on it!

if you're using the hermit's tiara (freeze on hit with 4 or fewer items), focus entirely on speed and health (clarity wouldnt hurt), if you can attack first you can freeze and having low attack and defense doesnt matter if you can constantly attack and not worry about being hit. the health is there because ranged enemies exist
You should prioritize getting items on floor one over killing enemies. Most items give you enough to beat floor 1 basically unscathed (with a pot)
I find grabby hands to be REALLY good most of the time. You make a massive amount of souls, then eventually you find another hand piece and can buy stuff to replace anything that isn't ideal.
The bonus souls also help significantly to offset the risk of getting a detrimental item by rerolling!
(edit: really good as an early game gray item, that is. mask is also pretty great in first room though)
The Teleport Staff isnt bad. U can teleport exoloding enemys away before they burst. :)

Man, I haven't played this game in so long, but I used to know all the weird secret tech that the game offered.
I don't think skipping the bird gives you an item, I think there's specific events that show up between certain room floors so like between floor 2 and 3 or 7 and 8 or whatever it might be. So I think you just happened to get the bird showing up with an item between floors at the same time that you had the opportunity to visit the bird.
One very important tip that I did not know for the LONGEST time is that the "extra" paths actually do not progress you toward the last boss, so taking a side path is almost always worth it if you can get even a marginal benefit from it. For example: If you're on room/floor 2 and you have an "Ambush" path or the normal path, taking the normal path will place you on room 3 while taking the Ambush path will take you to Ambush and then after leaving Ambush you will THEN be taken to room 3. Essentially, any items, souls, or stats that you get from a side room (Ambush, Patience, Wishful, etc.) are purely bonuses to your run.
Once I learned that, it was down the path to easy victories from there on out. You complete enough of those side paths and you're just going to end up at the last boss with more items, stats, and souls than somebody who only takes the normal path the entire way.
Best place to show this effect is 35:32. You were on room/floor 8, you took a crossroads, you took an ambush from the crossroads, and THEN you went to floor/room 9 afterward. You got two extra rooms in between room 8 and 9.
The best stat to dive HARD into early is clarity, the more clarity the more souls you can get, and with that you can be picky about what you get item wise and make op item combos, plus it adds loads of other combos. Also, all curse chances become basically free stuff
Changeling belt can be crazy if your willing to constantly move back and forth. It has the potential to turn any potion into a big potion and any stat boosts into big stat boosts

The rooms will get more and more difficould later on. U may consider not use crossroads because u will miss a lot of items and souls u will need later on. A same with the Shadow-Rooms.

Next time, you should play Evolings. It is a monster collection roguelight that is hard, but once you get the hang of it, is really fun
So, on patience, any item grabbed is the same move cost as heading that way. Same with any creature killed in one hit. If you collect everything on one side in one go you can even afford a single item from the other side before escaping. However, even better, if you can freeze the two enemies when they are not awake they wont become blockers
The bird have different phases. Mostly u wil get killed by attacking him. But if he summons new monsters he will get vulnerable without attcking u back for 2 or 3 rounds. ;)
btw if you give an item that scales with a lack of items for stats (basically any item before the one time uses) you keep the current stats that the item gives you

If you press the arrow button on unlock items it skips the reveals. You have to press the big button

secondly i see the rough comments and i know they are not nice but i wanted to give you my piece as to why so much rage is solicited.
olexa, my man, it feels like youre activley refusing to learn from your mistakes.
in a simple game about simple choices like this i can see why it would enrage someone.
youre getting better and putting effort into reading comments and it shows!
but you still somehow go for the kills first and then the item and then kill the exploding sludge without backup potion in the first ring.
this is just an example.
but i say the game is simple because u have everything on the ui and no action goes without lettin you know the consequences. even at the wishing well when u mouse over an item it highlights the stat that is gonna get affected in either red or green.
the joy of a blind playthrough is getting to experience someone overcoming the difficulties by learning and it can be frustrating watchin someone die by randomly clicking without a tought especially when the outcomes are so transparent.
so next time u catch yourself unsure of an action count to three a take a good look at your stats and the monster.
im sure youll give us even wilder wins, so good luck!

Brother I’m just recording games for fun. Half the time I’m recording these on my lunch break from my actual job, exhausted, sick, tired, and just want to play a videogame. Lol. My channel has never been about being good at games or playing optimally.
i really like youre laidback style, im always looking forward to your silly shananigans but i was TEARING my hairs out when at the last boss u didnt even aknowledge his ranged attacks but ya managed to make a build sturdy enough that survived through it all!

The stats from the opal at the other hand, after activationg his passive, will count as active. :)
