It has that melancholic, hopeful type of vibe, while simultaneously warning the viewer of an impending doom - perfectly mirroring Arcane's depiction of Viktor. This is professional level. Great work👌
my absolutely favorite plotline. it's just so beautifully executed with such a satisfying resolution. the cosmic soulmate bond across all universes and realities which became so essential on such a scale. their last scenes were just pure art.

Friendship. Romance. Metaphorical brotherhood. An inseparable cosmic bond that transcends conventional relationships. I don't care what you call it. These two love each other. And even with the unfortunate cuts the writers had to make due to the massive budget of the show preventing a third season, this story was still so beautiful and masterfully conveyed. I know that one of the writers said in an interview that Viktor and Jayce's death hit him the hardest, because they were his favorite characters to write for. And you can tell. Those writers and artists put so much heart into telling their story.

They literally referenced The Phantom of The Opera for their relationship and you tell me it has no romantic connotations? Delusional. Even the writer (Amanda) described their narrative as romantic..

I really can't think about them without crying. Jayce and Viktor are so well written characters, and their bond exceed everything i've could imagine about... love, every shape of love, romantic, platonic, friendly, whatever. They hold a special place in my heart.
Their story breaks my heart, such a brilliant love story. Bringing tears to my eyes cause all they wanted to do was bring to cities together and help all. Yet what they had to sacrifice was themselves in order to destroy what they had brought into the world. Arcane writing is genius 😥

I really gotta ty for this, I miss them so much. I got so attached to VIktor and I still don't really know why I love him so much. Kudos to all his designers writers the VA etc etc. I don't think I can bring myself to ever rewatch the entirety of the show (painful, and while beautiful and masterful, mostly boring to me besides my favorites ofc). I always cared about Viktor the most anyways. So getting to "rewatch" whenever I feel like it again, but just the story I was most interested in will be very nice. I never disliked Jayce, I was mostly neutral but found him charming and interesting, though that might only be thanks to Viktor's regard of him lmfao. He definitely skyrocketed into my good graces by the end of S2 though. He both looked badass and was badass. That 'affection' that holds them together... goddamn. The humanity, the care, the sacrifice- just because "Now, all I want... is my partner back.". Us choosing each other, choosing our love for someone (whatever form), I was crying for a really long time. Especially after everything that was Viktor's "loss of humanity" (though I'd say not entirely or imo Jayce would've had no influence) in episode 8. For some elements of what we believe to be the best and rawest that construct what we consider that 'humanity' (love and imperfections) to be what saves it all (hope and possibility, don't worry I haven't forgotten Ekko and his vital contribution aha, that boy was my second favorite character throughout the whole show for sure)... AUGH. It's beautiful. There's other stories out there, with bonds like this between a pair. They are few and far between, and though I know I've read/watched them it's been so long that I can't remember most of them. Ah, one I remember would be Alfred and Haplo from The Death Gate Cycle novels (if anyone even knows what those are, I'd be very surprised. My favorite book series I'll ever read, of that I'm certain). But this is the type of bond that really moves us all so deeply. There's something so simultaneously visceral yet gentle. What we can mean to one another, give each other, do for someone else. The love we are capable of giving and recieveing. How something that feels SO grand and all encompassing, can come from something so... seemingly simple. 'I just want you with me, me with you. Because I care.' So simple. Yet it's everything. These fuckers make me wax poetics I was literally gonna just write 'ty for the very nice video edit so I can watch Viktor/Viktor and Jayce's story whenever I want without rewatching the show' and OOPS MY FINGERS SLIPPED AND I CRIED WRITING 4 PARAGRAPHS.
They're so in love, but not the romantic kind of love.... Their union is the strongest in the series, equal or similar to the bond that Vi and Jinx have.
Hextech was never the problem, even though the show tried to take Heimerdinger's side implying it was. The real problem was Shimmer. Shimmer corrupted the Hexcore. Shimmer corrupted Eco's tree. Shimmer corrupted Jinx and Silco. And Powder/Jinx.... Jinx wrecked so many possible futures, over and over. The true villains of _Arcane_ are Singed and Jinx...
It should've been Sky instead of Jayce who made Viktor stop his endeavour in the end of s2. It would've parallelled perfectly to how she died trying to pull him away from the hex core in S1, resulting in him stopping his experiments altogether. It was tragic how she disappeared into the hex core trying to save him, it would've been heartfelt and beautiful for her to save him successfully and the both of them to disappear together. Viktor ignored her in the beginning, but now directly faces and fully embraces her in the end, the person who admired and adored him the most for who he was, despite his disability. It was sad how they didn't let her accomplish anything except keeping Viktor company, then just vanishing. Jayce should've stayed in Piltover to rectify the damage he caused with his invention. He'd be forced to finally adhere to needs of his people, and address the inequities of the people from the Undercity, as the story has constantly been hinting that he needs to do
If to think about, Viktor never seemed as a straight man to me at all. I would say he’s asexual, but not aromatic as well. I have a feeling that if he wasn’t a scientist or cripple he would be such a soft and romantic guy. If to compare in the show he definitely had more feelings to Jayce than Sky, (people who say he loved Sky you ok?) I guess he was just sorry for her as she died cause of him. Same for Jayce, I guess he was also more stuck to Viktor than fallen for Mel. But each time it was about Jayce for Viktor - he had some jealousy in eyes or movement. (Romantic of not, he had that I’m sure) The scene that’s still in my mind is the double sided scene where Jayce proposes to go on stage to give a speech together and says “we’re partners!” and Viktor responds with stutter and distinctively shyness “no, no.. not in front of all of them…” as if he doesn’t want misunderstanding. (I still don’t understand was he shy because of his health condition, or to be publicly called partners with Jayce XD bcuz he was looking at JAYCE not at his body as if it’s about him, not himself) Omg I could talk about them for HOURS. It’s the best video of their story yet on whole UA-cam, thank you for this work 🙂↕️❤️🩹
