This video once again shows that you are the best tutor in setting up our Flight Sims. To the point, calm with perfectly matched visuals. I am grateful for all of your pointers and instructions.
I've been struggling with the reverser proces for a long time. Thx for the outstanding explanation. Finally got it to work
Your Videos are the best! Thanks for taking the the time to help all of us out here you save us untold amount of frustration. Make this sim and yoke much more enjoyable.
Awesome stuff Mark. You're THE expert when it comes to setting up Bravo axes.
You are an absolute genius , Mark. Thank you so much for all that you do for the community. You are a life saver when it comes to the Bravo Throttle.
I knew I am gonna find in Mark's channel the instructions for ATR and Bravo!
As usual, your timing is perfect. Great videos!! Whenever I am having trouble with setups I go straight to your guides. They have never failed me. Thank you very much.
Your tutorials are just perfect and extremely clear it’s really really useful thank you so much !!!
Many thanks, Mark for this awesome tutorial! The idle, ramp and notch settings were driving me crazy!!
When I saw the ATR, first thought was "when will Mark post the Bravo tutorial". As always, you didn't disappoint. Thanks!
An excellent video Mark! There is no way I would have figured this out without your help. Thank you so much!
I always check here first for throttle setup, thanks for posting .
Dear Mark, I wanted to say big thank you to this video. I just got the ATR and I was like, Hell how to configure. And I was directly aiming for your channel and I was not disappointed. YOU ARE AWESOME!!
Saved my life this video, many thanks
Hey SimHanger, we need update, because IDLE and REVERSE does not work any longer after last ATR update. :(
Ah, good, I thought I missed something....
When i pull back to idle just before the detent my throttle levers go right back to reverse in the sim , is that the same thats happening to you ??
Brillian , thanks a lot from GCXO ( Tenerife , Los rodeos ) Hope to see You on our skyes 😊
I am back doing this again. When I first got the Bravo set up, the ATR settings all worked and I was very pleased.
However, after about a week, my #1 throttle, in flight, started slipping out of the notch and falling quickly all the way to flight idle. I moved it back, it fell again. Huh? It worked before, what happened? So I asked Honeycomb for support. They said to return the Bravo, but that never happened because they "lost" their shipping and supplier contracts.
Others say I need to redo the bindings, and I agree that is the thing to try. Not easy! I couldn't figure out how to totally erase my ATR profile, so I just tried to do as you did and make a copy or a backup. All of the bindings still showed their previous settings, so I would delete those one by one and re-bind them. Ha, I have probably made it all worse. It's very tedious in MFS2020, while using the bravo in XPlane worked perfectly. But XP doesn't have the ATR, and I am type rated in it. I find I am confused when you are quickly moving from New, to Assigned, etc.
How can I totally erase my previous ATR profile and start clean from scratch? I don't know if I have a hardware problem or a software problem, or both.
Thanks so much, this helped me out tremendously!
Thank you so much Mark! Saved me so much frustration.
Thanks for always your great help in configuration😀
You my friend are a Bravo TQ magician. I would have never found my way.
Thanks mate, appreciate your assists .
Thanks made it easy to set up the honeycomb for this plane
Hi Mark
How wonderful to see and follow one of your "let me show you how to do it" videos again!
Clear and easy!
Thanks!
Looking forward to (I am sure!) more videos on how to operate the ATR.
Regards,
Roberto
Hi Mark, great work on the settings thankyou. only just installed the ATR today 7th March '24. better late than never. Using same honeycomb hardware as you. My throttle 1 lever will not move into full detent for reverser. throttle 2 reverses fine. tried several revalidations to no avail. hopefully i can get some help to maintain my busy island hopping schedule ha!
Thanks, for another Config Guide.
Good job Mark. I was hoping you were going to produce this information.
You are the go-to guy for new aircraft/Honeycomb configuration. Greatly appreciated.
As usual, your materials are 1001% professional and very helpful. Thank you. ;-)
Thanks Mark, great and timely content as always!
Fantastic instruction and wonderful video! Thank you!
Hi Mark, thanks for your amazing work.
In this case, like other colleagues, I tell you that from the last update of the ATR, the reverses and the engine cut-off stopped working
Thank you very much. After the latest update i'm unable to use revers thrust. how can I fix it?
SImHanger, you do great work - of that there is little doubt. HOwever it's MSFS that is making me pull my hair out now. Seems as though through some updates that a bug has been introduced where when the Bravo is at 0% throttle, it is interpreted as FULL reverse and not Idle in the Sim, and its actually quite clear from
Thank you so much for making this video. I'm going to enjoy this plane a lot more when I get my Bravo configured. Much appreciated.
This is the most nice Plane for MSFS. I Love it to fly and for this price, get it!
Thank you so much. Best guides on the net. Asobo should hire you for sure.
The HC Bravo maestro! Saved me so much time. Thank you!!
Mark you're a legend! Thank you so much for the help with this.
Great and really useful video. Saved me a load of hassle; lovely plane; first flight from Bristol went swimmingly!
Brilliant. where would be without you. No ASOBO instructions! they should thank you big time. As an aside I'm having trouble getting the steering to work. It doesn't seem to respond to my normal set up. Trying to sort that out now.
Believe you have to unlock nose wheel steering
@@JoeDunlop06 Ah. Thanks.
@@JoeDunlop06 struggling with that, too - how can I unlock the nose steering wheel?
Computer settings are my weakness. I kept making mistakes doing this and had to repeat and of course stop and restart the video. Not that it is that difficult! Ha, well now everything works except I had the prop levers reversed and had to uncheck the boxes. Having the flaps controlled makes takeoffs and landings so much easier! Without CLs on my old Saitek throttles, the throttles kept changing the position of the CLs! That didn't work well.
I'm typed in the ATR from years ago and remembered little about it. Those were the pre-glass models. I think the glass displays are nice but in the sim, they are tiny. The altitude and course are tedious to set. But after decades in the 737, I am enjoying low and slow in the ATR, and I like the sound of those turbo-props. When the ATR came out I thought, well I'm typed, I need to be able to fly this thing!
Thanks for your helpful video. BTW, in the real airplane, we seldom if ever used Hotel Mode.
Thank you for this really helpful Guide!!
Hi Mark. Thanks for posting this video.. really helpful and got me about 90% of the way. My throttles are still having trouble staying in the 'notch' gate. I advance T1 and T2 and they get to the 62% of power and them jump straight up to 75 even if i only touch them a hair.. I have played with the sensitivity but that didn't do much to help, and i have no idea how the Deadzones might be able to work with that one section of the throttle's range. Assists are definitely off.. Would welcome your thoughts on how to fine-tune (if its even possible).
Thanks so much Mark for this clear explanation! Actually I was waiting for this video!!!! 🤭 thx again!
Thank you Mark, very useful as usual. I followed the set up as described but in my case something strange happens: the cond. levers (propellers) work perfectly but the throttles jump! As soon as I touch them they either go full forward or full reverse. The only way to move them gradually is by using f1, f2, f3. I must have goofed somewhere…
Make sure pilot assists are off as well as autopilot.
@@SimHangerFS same problem here
your wonderful !!!! many many thanks for this 😘😘😘😘
Hi Mark thank you for your reply. I went into windows 10 joystick control and calibrated the bravo but that didn’t work so I reset to default and that solved the problem. Thank you again. Gerry👍
Hello Mark , thanks a million for that video and for all videos , i was looking forword and you did it , bravo
Thank you so much for doing these! I was looking forward to it and you delivered :)
Excellent as always Mark. Thank you for the help.
Thank You !!! for your best Videos !!
Thank you very much, your instructions are very clear. appreciate the time you put into this
Hey! Yet again your tutorials a flawless! Thank you!
Thank you Mark
Many thanks Mark. Your a star.
Awesome video. But unfortunetly reverse thrust just engage but not increases reverse power just by pressing F2 increases power decreasing
Very helpful. Thank you.
Thanks again Mark for your time effort as always
I have the VelocityOne Yoke. Do I follow the same directions?
Yes sir, but you will need to allocate flaps to a button. 👍
Set this as you did in thhis video yesterday before seeing today (you definitely saving people time)... The parking brake can be configured with toggle parking brake to a Bravo Switch... I submitted two bug reports on no IAS/VS/NAV or other button functionality... Also, I find it is stupid you have to use Propeller Axis and Feather for the condition lever when there is Condition Lever Control Option... I agree and you should stop sugarcoating it, Microsoft who directly supports the Alpha/Bravo Software intergration NEEDS TO FORCE Content Creators to have FULL FUNCTIONALITY in their aircraft and using standard coding plus provide documentation for proper setup to work with their internal coding. MICROSFT NEEDS TO FIX THE BUGS OF THE INHOUSE SUPPORT NOW with no further delay and HONEYCOMB needs to earn their money they charge providing software to override and customize buttons like Axis & Ohs...... No documentation by the creator and people having to figure out how they coded the controls is RIDICULOUS... Expert Series Aircraft, I think not.... Will they force the developer to fix the buttons and dial functionality will yet to be seen but my guess is no... Time Microsoft fixes and enforces the Alpha/Bravo Controls Standardize Coding they certify as the "go to" controls and in-house support... Their neglect is getting really damn old.
Hi Brittany. I've been trying to assign button 34 (Left switch up) to the Parking Brake but when i click it off (button 25) the lever in the cockpit just jumps up and down. Can you possible advise how you set yours? Do you have to set 35 separately? Thanks so much
awesome as always. Thank you! ❤
Excellent tutorial as always. Thank you
Very usefull thanks
Thank your for your videos, you always help me a lot! ////
I don't know why but this time my reverses are not working. They don't move down. I'm afraid i did all you show in the video
for me the same
You are awsome as usual. Thanks for your effort
Hi Mark,
Is the PMDG DC6 configurable with the bravo T/Q I am guessing not although perhaps throttles? Can you use the Bravo Q to operate the DC6 or do you have change the throttle quandary to anther T/Q. Thanks Charlie
No you can use the bravo.
Great work ad usual Mark. All your setup in My Bravo work fine but this atr give me some problem . I have the trhottle levers in idle but in sim goes in reverse i must pull up a little to set Ilde in sim
Do what I said on the video. Throttles at idle….do not check the box for reversers. Select default then dual axis. Your throttles will now be at idle. Now set the notch and ramp positions.
@@SimHangerFS I"m having the same issue unfortunately. I start the sim and the throttles are in the GI position in the aircraft and I go through the steps you just stated but when I move the throttles forward and back the throttles move into the reverse position. I've been trying everything to fix it but it just won't stay out of the reverse detent.
@@kevinphilpot3270 try select default, exit flight and then load up aircraft again. Select default again…then calibrate by selecting set at idle.
@SimHangerFS also when I start to increase the throttle it initially goes in reverse before moving forward. I have no idea what I've done wrong. I based it off of the 2 engine setup which has always worked great.
@@SimHangerFS Mark you're a genius this did it! Thanks you sir!
Hello, thanks for your valuable advices. Would this configuration guide be fitted for the Velocity One as well ?
Yes the assignments would be the same, but axis description obviously different.
@@SimHangerFS Configuration done on Velocity One for throttles and condition levers/propellers. It seems to be working fine!
This was a perfect tutorial but for some reason after the recent ATR update I cannot calibrate my throttles any longer, they keep defaulting to the reverser position, everything else is fine
They have obviously changed something….again, so frustrating!
@@SimHangerFS Do you know how to fix it?
@@subwar1 ua-cam.com/video/jBsi-hN7P5I/v-deo.html
I used your wonderful tutorial to set up my logitech saitek throttle for ATR. It works fine, excluded for the shut off of engine number 2 (right engine). The levers move correctly. No issue when I start the aircraft but when I have to stop the engine number 2 (number 1 instead works correcly when I put the propeller lever in shut off position) the shut off position apparently doesn't work. The propeller keeps on to turn. Is it a problem of saitek throttle and I should buy Bravo throttle?
Very helpful! Thank you, Sir!
I'm going to pass on this aircraft; maybe a Dehaviland Canada Q400; or Dash8 will arrive in the Marketplace or on an aircraft payware site soon eh
Maybe not a bad idea. Got a feeling you wouldn't like it anyway. But why come to a keybind video for that sort of feedback?
@@ATOBanana Because I respect Mark and I share my thoughts and support for his postings Bud :)
I don’t suppose you can do one for the VF1, i’m really struggling 😅 Thanks in advance.
thanks for your guide. however I did everything you said, but my reverser thrusts are not working at all
Hi Mark, I have two logitech throttle quadrants and I want to configures them to work with the ATR. I'm very curious that this guide works with the logitech too... or not. Any advice that recommend about that? Thanks a lot!!!!
The basic bindings will work, bur the axis descriptions will be different.
Do you know how to bind the MCP for the ATR? Thank you.
Hi Mark - many thanks for your well designed and presented training/info videos. Do you have a similar set up guide for X-Plane and the Bravo quadrant configuration (especially for the IT challenged - ie config for dummies - like myself)
. Kind regards
Hi, I don’t do much Xplane these days, not enough hours in a day…I did one quite a while ago. Not sure if this may assist ua-cam.com/video/yDMttmeSQqA/v-deo.html
Perfect thanks
Have you figured out how to assign the parking brake for the ATR? I can't get it to work
Do your settings still apply after the recent update?
I need to check
Couldn't do the reverses but still great tutorial everything else worked well
Resolved tysm
Mark, an awesome video. I wanted to pick your brains. As someone who has visual issues, I need to zoom a lot in the sim so in aircraft where the airspeed, attitude, VS readout isn't right next to the control wheel like in the Airbus and Boeing, I use key bindings where I can zoom into the PFD and then select airspeed, attitude, VS etc. using the bound key. However, after buying the ATR on Saturday I've not been able to fly it, because the usual key bindings that work on every other aircraft except Fenix, which isn't an issue in that aircraft: just don't work. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks, Graeme
Hi Mark, I got my Bravo Throttle configuration to work. However, over the past two days, the throttle levers don't move into the reverse detent. But in the External view I can see the gages showing reverse indicated when I move them into the reverse detent.
Also, all the auto pilot knobs work in External view, but not in Cockpit view.
It's the same for me.
It’s the recent update, changed bindings! Still trying to work it out 👀
@@SimHangerFS Thanks Mark. I actually fly the real aircraft, and I must say that the update to the FMS is fantastic. It’s the best aircraft I’ve flown on FS2020 to date. Great value. I’m even tempted to add other screens. Keep up the good work Mark and everyone else who enjoy the ATR of flying.
Amazing video, do you mind to tell what airport is this?
Bora Bora…not sure of the ICAO code.
Hi SimHanger: how to set 1st BRAVO axis to ATR Parking-Emer BRAKE?
Hello. What about the mcp dials? Mine currently work with the inia310 and fbwa320
Thanks Mark.
Does somebody know why the AP in the Bravo is not working? The buttons are fine, but the dials aren't working.
Thank you for this! I copied my Turboprop Twin preset to make my ATR preset. It also has Increase Propeller 1/2 Pitch set to the same binding as Toggle Feather Switch 1/2 and I have Hold Propeller Reverse Thrust set to both the feather bindings. Are those bindings necessary? If not, why? Thanks!
Hi Mark, I have a custom built throttle quadrant (especially to make it easy to use 'blindly' while in VR) based on a Arduino Pro Micro, which basically works as the Honeycomb. I got it working with the ATR as far as you showed in the video, however I have a couple of rotary encoders for the AP control. Like for altitude increase/decrease, heading bug, etc. In all planes these work fine, except for the ATr. I even can't get it to work via MobiFlight. Any idea how to get this working for this plane? Thanks in advance.
To keep things simple, I configured nothing. Using the 2 engine jet profiles work fine as the condition levers can just be clicked with the mouse as they only get used during startup and shutdown. I then calibrate my throttle on the efb and I’m done. The flap lever doesn’t change the spoiler gets pulled off
Thank you as always Mark Did you get the Bravo lights working with it too?
Limited.
Great
Nice. This was helpfull, but the Alpha, can you do that to. Have problem with to put on the light. And the same for the autopilot on the bravo.
Is it just me or is there something wrong?
Delete and reinstall the honeycomb/Aerosoft driver.
@@SimHangerFS know how to install it but how to delete it
@@gabzter delete from community folder. Re-download, unzip and install.
@@SimHangerFS Thx. Did that now and still dont work. Does your alpha autopilot work with the ATR? can change the heading when you use the Alpha? Need to know, maybe something wrong with my setting.
It would be great if you can do the Throttle/Conditioner configuration including reverse on VelocityOne FMS.I may add that I did my entire configuration of my VelocityOne based on your videos.I did try your configuration forTurbo Prop but still couldn’t do it.I am also having another issue the throttle one and two levers even after binding do not move in tandem.Throttle 2 smaller one lags behind in forward/ backward movement when I resume action in cockpit.
When I got to Throttle 1 cut, put it in detent, got the error message and pressed "Validate" , MFS froze and was unresponsive. I'm having to restart MFS, hope it didn't dump everything.
Minute later: It did dump my previous assignments. I don't quite know what to do now other than see if it happens a 2nd time.
Can you please do a setup video for the tca airbus captain pack xbox i just cant get it to work
Have to ask, does these setting permit the condition lever to go in Fuel Shut-off position ?
Yes.
Is you auto pilot buttons and dials working on your HCB
Most functions not working on autopilot as the developer is using non-default bindings.
@@SimHangerFS I wish I’d known that I would not purchase them. I bet Spadex would fix it
