@@NOTJustANomad Yep! Generally, you can kill any shield gen w 6-7 hits from mines or torps w Rev Cascade. When other CMDRs are about, carefully listen for your COVAS to say "Shield Generator Atk". Fly carefully or gtfo at that point.
@@jdubs2171 what if you get hit by a cascade but then fix the shield with amfu? will that instantly bring shields to the old level or you also have to recharge? (obv there is also reboot option, but thats more hull damage taken during that half minute sequence, even if you can tank it)
Ben York something like that or a 20 min penalty where you can’t get in... But they had to make sure that they could tell if it was combat log, or game/net crash... Personally I have been in a fight where I was about to win big time then my net went down... I would hate if the game punished me for that... But I’m all for the idea if they could make it work properly.

Right now I think there is a timer countdown if you close through the menu in combat, but God I can’t even remember heh😅
The self destruct idea is hilarious! :D How about only for players who've been reported for CL x times? Increase the time penalty for every subsequent disconnect, and after y more times blow their ship up XD
Perhaps if a player logs out while in "danger", their ship's controls are handed over to an NPC of the same rank as them? That'd deter plenty of people :P

Thats why I say that the Vette is mostly a defensive ship in, you cant attack no body in that slow ship and when you do, if you just stay in your place and let them come, they'll most likely get wrecked. That ship wasnt build for pvp, it was build for pve

In normal combat, an Adder's going to try to stay on your flank and abuse its maneuverability to nip at your back as a Vett. They should've realized something was up as soon as you started to back away while still facing them. xD

Frontier really needs to punish those who pull the plug when losing. maybe something like Day Z we're even though you log out or turn off the game you're character or in this circumstance starship would still be present and you could finish the job and still destroy them.
Considering this game has lag and connection issues, it would really suck for people who did get DC'd. I know it's rare, but should they be punished because someone else is a coward?

And years later, Despite owning A-rated Beluga and Anaconda, I keep going back to my Engineered Adder. But I'm getting annoyed with moving my engineered Modules for my Adder, so my next project is having multiple Adders dedicated, an all-rounder, Dedicated Combat, planetary explorer, Smuggler (speed), stealth (cold). So tips, ideas - have you guys go a squadron? I'm a casual player, and not combat orientated at all, but its nice to see people proving my dream scenario is possible (adder vs big ship)

Seriously, am I the only Corvette that runs missile defense?? I think I have 2-3 on my ship, and I’ve never had an issue with mines, missiles, or torpedoes. Since those are super dangerous since they can cripple my ship, everyone uses them, so I prepare for that.
How can prople reach deadly and master ranks flying that bad? I'm not the best pilot at combat, but I know how to turn off flight assist at the right moment to maneuver

Logging out during combat should initiate the self destruct sequence

CMDR Rough Roads it’s pretty slow, I think it’s only around 540. Shippy’s is over 700 but it’s a lightweight build
