What about the most iconic vehicle in halo reach, the forklift
So I want to make a new NPC, the Cyclops. They are sort of like the hunters but instead of coming in pairs they come in 3 and are have to stay within range of a generator as the generator serves as a weak spot for these UNSC monsters. Now take that forklift and move the generator. The Forklift now is a Cyclopes Assault Command vehicle.
Maldus Alver I’m imagining the Cyclops as little mechs, actually. XD
Then you've got those trucks, those ones that look like they couldn't fit barely anything in them
@@nexusomega1 spades?
_Ah yes, the tactical forklift_
Reach probably has the second most powerful Shotgun and Magnum pistol (first obviously being from CE).
lol wat. Halo 4 and 5's magnum and shotgun are much more powerful than Reach's. They'd easily be second to CE
@@samiuddin7051 you aren't able to see what 4 and 5 can do.
@@samiuddin7051 ua-cam.com/video/MqZrOL4e9ZA/v-deo.html
Magnum is the meta in halo 5. Not even the BR or DMR can outclass it
@@cyrosphere0154
I've seen General Kidd's videos. His video shows the 4's shotgun having more damage than Reach's but also shows 2's shotgun doing more damage than 4's. But because 2's shotgun has a horrendous range it's effectively useless.
4 and 5 undoubtedly has one of the most overpowered shotguns. General Kidd may not be able to show 5's weapon stats but if you just play halo 5 you'll be able to tell it's one of the most powerful shotguns especially with it now having smartlink.
Halo Infinite needs the Falcon to return.
It also needs the Hornet to return
give the falcon a turret for the pilot...then maybe
Khorne's Berserker imagine being able to add AI enemies in forge with AI marines air lifted in with a falcon....
@@Yes-ly1nx there's a mod for that.
We need the pelican actually. In multiplayer. We've never used the pelican in multiplayer (apart from mods of course). So I would like to fly a pelican in matchmaking thankyou
"No 2 weapons alike"
*plasma repeater intensifies*
Still better than the storm rifle
Plasma repeater and plasma rifle (if that's what your comparing it to) are pretty different in how they are used
Plasma repeater does more health damage....if anything it’s a cross between the assault and plasma rifle.
Wait...is the Warthog a Mercedes, then? AMG is Mercedes-Benz's performance division.
Funny thing is about the Longswords, they are a multi-purpose vehicle in the Halo series. They can carry a payload of UNSC troops in the lower bay of the spacecraft if all Pelican Dropships are active on missions.
They can also carry supplies or weapons in the bay as well because of how large the bay is just below the bridge of the Longsword.
But when on serious missions like during The Battle for Earth in *Halo 2: Anniversary* and in *Halo 3: Anniversary,* no passengers or supplies can be carried due to the spacecraft entering evasive maneuvers when under attack or being shot at which would cause the Longsword crew/supplies below the bridge to be thrown around the entire bay.
Love videos like this great job at putting it together! If i had to add my two cents though id correct you in saying that the shotgun is a pump action, not a semi automatic. But itd be dope if we had that. Halo version of the benelli M4 sounds juicy
Damn all Halo reach had the best vehicle designs of the entire Halo saga BY FAR! it looks so cool ,iconic and realistic at the same time.
Misriah Armory is a good Fallout 4 mod showcasing UNSC weapons and gear including discovering mjolnir armor and its variants
Will you be covering all of the cruisers and space-faring ships that the UNSC and Covenant use for interplanetary war?
Halo fleet bartles
uh, no the spnkr does not reduce carry weight, if anything, it vastly increases weight because the part of the weapon you don't throw out is almost just the trigger and the latch. its literally like carrying multiple rocket launchers.
Falcon whoop whoop. would also love for the vehicles to be added to forge that we didn't get
Love re-watching this and it's counter part but one thing I never understand is why the Troop hog isn't in forge or the more recent games. I think it would work better in Halo 5 than that scout version, Maybe in the next game.
The warthog: In service for over two centuries. If that's not reliable, i don't know what is.
I still contend the Scorpion is the worst tank design ever.
NetVoyagerOne It follows the rule of cool rather than functionality. The Scorpion's turret (and gun) and crew layout are my biggest point of contention.
The 90mm is weak compared to a 120mm which is a better gun and should've been on the scorpion in the first place
I am surprised no one noticed over the years that if you have a 3rd or 4th player on ONI Sword Base. A transport hog will spawn back by the water where the two Wraiths come out, It will be to the left and upsidedown. I am surprised that not even HC knows this. ((Hint: Try it if you don't believe me!))
At 2:49 for the DMR you left the Caliber of the ammo the same as the Magnum 12.7x40mm while you say it fires a 7.62x51.
What I wonder is
The scorpion fires a 90mm tungston round
Modern day tanks fire 120mm tungston rounds, some nations even using depleted uranium for extra penetrating power.
Many next gen tank designers are seriously considering upgrading the caliber of tank cannons to 140mm, as they simply cant squeeze any more penetrating power out of the 120mm rounds.
What kind of magical 90mm tungston round are the UNSC using that allows the performance to be satisfactory?
I NEED ANSWERS
I think it would be cool if you could do this kind of video for the other Halo games even know that it's going to be a lot of work and research but if you want to I'm willing to wait
The Falcon is a flying coffin. Can we all just agree on that? You need three people just to allow it to fire on both of it’s flanks, it’s machine gun turrets are way too inaccurate and easy to dodge, it’s big and slow, can’t maneuver away from projectiles for shit, and can be one-shot by an auto-locking rocket launcher. The worst part? All three players are screwed because they can’t leave it without dying since it’s an aerial vehicle, meaning all three players are guaranteed to be killed by a single projectile. I don’t know why they didn’t just keep the Hornet in Halo: Reach to give us more options...
I know Halo is over the top when it comes to its science, but I still find it strange that the UNSC still uses shell casings for their weapons. We have weapons today that are electrically operated with coils to accelerate projectiles at even higher speeds.
Anything "gauss" is exactly that. The ships make heavy use of the technology
JJ There is a misconception around with Gauss and Railgun being the same thing. They do the same thing, but in a different way.
@@Nevirate The only railgun I know of that the UNSC uses is the
Asymmetric Recoilless Carbine-920 from halo 4. the rest are coil guns
Must be cheaper to produce I think & stick with what works. Rail & coil gun technology is prone to EMP attacks due to thier open-design to keep them cool from overheating.
Tristan Backup Good point, but all of the vehicles can recover from EMPs. Obviously it’s for gameplay reasons.
Where exactly would a Spartan carry spare magazines? It's not like that have mag pouches, so is there a part of the Mjolnir project armor that is a compartment?
How come with Halo CE you get a machine gun next to the cannon that you could use but in all the other halos you can't
Good god a 12L engine? Thats freaken huge. Anf how is the magnum a .50 cal? There is an achievement called "I see you favor the .45"
Have the Halo encyclopedia. You have a few things wrong, only one of the first 3 have Full Metal Jacket ammo. The ma5 was about to be retired prior to the attack on harvest, but because of its usefulness against Elite energy Shields it was kept in service. The sniper rifle is anti material much like today is Barrett sniper rifle. The g-type pistol was only used in 2 games, as well as the C-type. Subcon version with a silencer was used in ODST. There's 12 versions of that pistol. 3 officer pistols, 4 are upstock, 2 are favored by law enforcement. You forgot to br55 battle rifle. You also forgot the submachine gun with its Square bullets. There are 7 versions of warthogs, 3 not seen in-game but widely used including the 15 passenger fully-enclosed APC version, the Arctic camo version, and the flatbed repair/recovery version.
am i the only one confused about the description given of how fast the Gauss fires its projectiles? 'just under Mach 40 or 13.7 km/h'??? that doesn't sound quite right 11:50
I thought it was only the ma5b that the army slipped on and by the time of the battle of earth all branches have switched to the ma5c and later the ma5d post war (I’m sure the army will have a different designation).
is there anything they use that Misriah didn't make?
Halo Cannon, idk where you got your sources for the magnum and the DMR... but they’re not chambered in .50
The magnum is chambered in 12.7x40mm (12mm caliber)
The DMR is chambered in 7.62x51mm NATO (apparently)
That would put the DMR as the same ammo type as the assault rifle, and the AR isn’t a .50
What about the frigate and pillar of autumn
Design wise imho the scorpion is a true pos tank in any roll other than training and as a very very light scouting tank even by RL standards .... No joke that any RL moden MBT be it the russian T-90MS series to the Western Abrams, challanger 1 and 2, and Leopard series of tanks all are superior platforms to this scorpion thing.
Thay all have better fire power, better crew layout, better armor design "shape wise tho im pretty sure CHABRAM composite armor would give the scorpion a run for its money"" and generally are far cheaper to mass produce than a scorpion that fataly overelys on AI and computer automation to compensate for a 1 or 2 man crew.
Only thing scorpion has is a seemingly modular design but even then modern next gen MBTs like the T-14 Armata and PL-01 stealth tanks are designed to be modular platforms that can be rapibly outfitted to suit spessific tasks or objectives even in the field in need be.
Misriah armory Misriah Armory MISRAIH ARMORY good video non the less.
Starting at 10:00... This video gets real ;)
Do the covenant's equipment hehehe.. cool vids as always canon
Why no company has created real firearms modelled after these is a mystery. Something I would for sure have purchased.
I say this on many halo lore videos. But I find it ridiculous that money plays a big role in what can be produced when humanities fucking extinction is involved. Like Spartan 2’s cost as much as a fleet, or the laser costing as much as 4 warthogs being a deciding factor in what gets produced. Money shouldn’t be debated in times like this. I think that’s what could have killed the UNSC. Like you’re worried about how much something costs even though if it’s not produced you won’t live to use that money. Does anyone else get me?
Good stuff

The range of the Reach assault rifle in gameplay is an effective and spectacular 5 meters with a spread of 2.5 after the first shot and a clip which allows leisurely reloads after you miss your target. Oh, and it can viciously tickle enemy soldiers.
Yeah and that rocket hog is about as effective as bouncing basketballs off of Covenant Armor
@@thehypest6118 Literally more effective to just run them over lol

Did you say 13.7 km per hour? Didn't you mean per second?
It’s like that one episode of RvB where meta slows down but carries the same momentum xd
No he clearly meant per hour. They had to make it that slow so that the covenant could move out of the way.
Kyran Lunney Well no, that would mean that the warthog it’s mounted on is faster than it, and judging from gameplay, it definitely isn’t.

Master P is the colonel of that motherfuckin' tank after all.
I think you're kind of forgetting the Grizzly. That would be strongest tank. Its armour was knowen to be so strong that Covenant oftenly resorted to use Naval weapons to destroy them, feared by the covenant. However in Halo Reach, yes the Scorpion is the strongest one, in the game.
Unless it's Halo 2 on legendary.

13:48 Hey how does 90 mm of Tungsten strike ya?!
Sounds weak. Get a 120mm gun and depleted uranium darts!
You forgot to mention the forklift as a vehicle!
I know you're joking and all, but the forklift is a civilian vehicle.
@@andyfriederichsen To be fair...they did say at the start of the video that they would be covering weapons and vehicles that COULD be encountered in the game. With that....technically the forklift along with the semi truck and box/cargo truck would be vehicles the player could encounter in the game.
I want to point out a small error, at 3:39 you accidentally stated it was a semi-automatic shotgun but the weapon statistics you have has it listed as pump action.
Overall great video, got me hyped for mcc on pc😃
Orin its pump action because it has the option of being pump action or semi-auto dont ask me how that works its just gameplay conflicting with lore
Stock Brazen the real spas 12 is the same. It is meant for police use so it can be pump action for less than lethal rounds, which don’t release enough gas to cycle semiautomatic system
My question is when are we getting an automatic drum fed version.
Stock Brazen It’s actually quite possible, the real life Spas-12 operates in the same manner.
@@memes_the_dna_of_the_soul5487 You predicted Infinite's shotgun
11:50 Mach 40 is 13.7 km/s not km/h. That's almost 49000 km/h.
I actually did the math for the energy behind the Gauss cannon and its insane.
The round itself is said to be 25mm. Assuming its tungsten it'll output the same energy as a skyscraper hitting you at 600mph.
I don't think bungie nor 343i took into account the math behind how heavy and fast that round is/going.
@@wallsofmine imagine a single hog against modern tanks, it turn em all into swiss cheese from a single shot.
@@tristanbackup2536 my bad, I just did the math again and it would actually equal 11.12 tons of TNT per shot. Still crazy, but not insane as I stated.
@@wallsofmine Still enough to penerate today's armour? Would be nice to see how the maths of the 25mm round hitting an Abrams or say a Challenger tank at such velocity.
Tristan Backup I guess it depends on whether the engineers ever intended for such tanks to withstand the force of-holy shit...haha...11.12 TONS OF TNT! XD I’d assume the answer is “what fucking enemy is firing 11.12 tons of TNT at us!?”, so in other words, the tank would probably be a vaguely tank shaped pile of scrap metal at best, and a fiery pool of molten metal at worst.
The logistical errors around the Spartan laser is funny as it explained oh so much.
The grenade launcher is THAT old!? They should've made some improvements. Something as simple as three times the ammo would be good.
the grenade launcher would probably eat up to much ammo if they had 3 times the ammo
just a theory though.
Plus, do you know how heavy 40mm is? Cause I do. Each grenade weughs about .8 pounds. In the Marine Corp. We hold about twelve if you are a grenadier. It is on a bandolier and extremely cumbersome. We also use the M32 which is a 6 shot grenade launcher. And that alone weighs 15.5 pounds.

Halo 5 as well
Really liked and enjoyed watching this.
Assault Rifle and Scorpion Tank are my most favorites in Halo series.
Looking forward to the next one.
You never talked about the mac cannon the player uses in the mission pillar of autumn
Because that thing wasn't a MAC. It technically wasn't even a weapon.
It's what's called a mass driver, or electromagnetic catapult. It uses the same operating principle as a MAC; a coilgun that magnetically accelerates its payload. It was originally designed for use in developing colonies as a means of orbital lifting, but later repurposed into a variety of roles such as firing nuclear waste into the sun, or as mining equipment. The mass driver in Aszod was probably used to break down ships too large to fit inside the facility into smaller pieces while they were still in orbit, or to send tools and other equipment into orbit for shipbreaking crews to use in space.
@@NumPad i never knew that, i always assumed it was a small mac cannon for close range Arial defense, but come to think of it why wouldn't sword base or other high value targets be littered with them if that was the case. Thank you for the comment
@@MrBozo08 My pleasure :)
A lot of this kind of obscure knowledge and lore is only explained in the various books and extended universe. If you're interested in this kind of thing, I'd highly suggest picking up a couple of them. "The Cole Protocol" features an asteroid colony that uses mass drivers.
I get that the m319 igl ia just an m67 with a different coat of paint basically but with all the high calibers being used 40mm seems small, they should have gone with 50mm or something.
I also hope that I’m infinite they up the gore to reflect the brutality of both sides weapon systems. If an elite was hit by the warthogs cannons it would turn into pink mist. It’s not going to happen but it would be interesting to me at the very least. Bring back halo 1 blood sprays
You mean an M79? Cause a m67 is a frag grenade.
Or go with the 14mm sobat sniper rounds leaving a shielded elite's head exploded leaving a mess. 😂
M319 Grenade Launcher is still my all-time favorite weapon... I really wanna play Reach now.
Love the channel and your content and material presentation is top notch! Can't believe that some of the iconic vehicles in the halo series are so friggin' old. The warthog alone has over 200 years in service (2319-2552 (Fall of Reach). That's like using flintlocks and black powder cannons in modern warfare. Makes me wonder if there is any lore behind why arms development stagnated despite the outer colony insurrection. If we look at our current era, a lot and i mean A Lot of weapon technology and improvements happened during the course of the 15+ years global war of terror (GWOT). Sorry former military and current gun shop owner, stuff like this gets me going. All in all another great video.
It's mostly the UNSC's mentality of "if it works, why change it?", this combined with the fact that in the UNSC, the space Navy take precedence over planetside forces in terms of funding and the fact that the UNSC hasn't really been in a relatively large scale war in little over 300 years (2170-2492) means there hasn't been that much of a call to improve planetside equipment as much as spaceborn assets to help with colonization expansion.

How on Earth does the Scorpion function effectively with just one crew? Yes I get it has an auto-loader and lots of canons, but the Russian T-14 Armata has the same setup without anyone in the turret and yet still has to have 3 crew to balance out tasks efficiently.
We're talking about a machine created for war 500 years in the future.
I wish they’d bring back the Falcon, Hornet, and gives us one of the older style Pelicans to use! I liked Halo 2’s and 3’s Pelicans the most.

@@HaloCanon Truth: Kill the Demon!
The M6G fires 12.7x30mm not x40
Jingle Baza it’s a small misnomer in all the games. The CE magnum does fire the longer 40mm one, but none of the other magnum models have the magazine capacity to fit the round.
11:33 there is also a prototype with a double Gauss. It has 4 wheels from the back and 2 in the front.
I think you got IWCS mixed up.
I think it is ICWS.
.50 cal seems to be the preferred caliber, which makes sense considering the enemies the UNSC encountered in the books possessed incredible stamina and resilience. I loved the original Halo books, especially First Strike.
If the gauss cannon actually fires rounds at mach 40, then that means they have a negative bullet drop, at least on 1-1.5g planets.
That also depends on the diameter of the planet, though (despite that being correlated to gravity.)
Also, they'd slow down extremely quickly
25:51 actually there is a weapon that has been used longer... THE KNIFE
Will you cover the different armours across both the Covenant and UNSC as part of the Primer Series?
I'm planning to after the Covie weapons & vehicles
For the M392, you put .50 Cal instead of the correct, 7.62×51mm.
Great info!
It’s likely it’s already been noted, the DMR has the caliber specs from the magnum at 12.7x40mm.
I also don’t understand why the SPNKR rocket launcher has a120mm rocket width when the tubes are that small, where as an average AT4 today has a width of 84.5mm, even with it being a good size on a combatant’s shoulder.
We like to Thank you for Covering Our Assets and Infantry gear and weaponry
Omg yes we need more of this sounds great especially for Halo 3, 2, and 5
I hate how the warthog and the other ground vehicles were retconned into having ICEs. Atleast the aircraft kept their futuristic powerplants.
I wanna know how the Transport Hog can carry up to 10 passangers. XD At most, I've only ever seen it carry 5 if you count the driver as well. Cause you have the driver seat, the front passenger seat, and then the back seats could seat a total of 3 passengers (from what I recall).
You said the dmr has 7.62 rounds but the video said it fired a 12.7 round
I think I see a mistake. The Mongoose goes up to 59 mph/95 kph. That would make it slower than the Scorpion. I think the Mongoose was supposed to be 95 mph, and Halo has just never fixed this.
In Halo Misriah armory made a lot of United Nations Space Command weapons and vehicles 98% is made by Misriah armory well they needed weapons and vehicles to fight the Covenant better then spears. Also I thought the Saber (YS-1000) was kinda neat.
I’d love to see you do this with the other games! Love the lore when it comes to Halo weaponry.
