Well done, Christy! I entered the system at 9 and eventually aged out of foster care. I'm 31. One of my foster moms, a white woman, though is an amazing person and didn't make me feel any different than the other kids, she didn't do my hair, teach me about black history, or the reality of racism I'd experience professionally and personally. Out of all of the homes I lived in, her home was the best, yet as I watch your channel, it takes me down memory lane to think about the what-ifs. Hopefully your kids receive balanced care that'll equip them for the real world. God bless 💖🙏🏿

Great video ! Your babies hair looks so healthy ! I’ve been caring for my 8 year old granddaughters hair - I have her thru adoption also ! I’ve gained so much info over the past years watching your videos and now Vanessa is loving her hair . Prior to being with me - when she Wld just visit - she hated her hair and would cry begging me to “give her my kind of hair” 😥 (straight hair) . But now she embraces her hair (and her gorgeous skin!)
I looked at Amazon for this product and wow you couldn’t be more correct, it’s expensive!!
I’ve been homeschooling Vanessa and took an early retirement so I can be home and give her all the emotional support she so needs .
But I think I will save a little here and there and hopefully purchase this at Christmas time or soon after for her 9th birthday!!
Thank you SO much for reviewing this - I would not have ever considered such a big purchase without this video !! Much love to you and your beautiful family!!!

Just one tip for everyone using the RevAir: they recommend not doing the pumping/up-down motion while the hair is in the wand. Move it aling the scalp to ensure the base of your section is getting dried, but avoid the back and forth motion over the shaft of the hair.

You Rock, because of the love you have for the “Human, Race” you go that extra mile. For all those who have a adopted child of a different “Culture” you cannot just sit back and say “I don’t know what to do about their hair” . She is doing what any mother of the human race who TrueType loves her child would do. Our hair is very versatile. Yes!!!!, I live for it!!

That's beautiful I'm impressed, thank you for educating others. I remember as a child how my mother would take care of me and my two sister's hair. It was a full-time chore for her and she couldn't wait until we got into our preteens, so that we could do our own hair. What she didn't understand was that, black hair was hard to do not only for adults but for a child. And to follow all of the steps to keep our hair soft and moist, was a challenge back then in the 70's and 80's. Not because we didn't have all of the products that we needed, because we did. What we needed in our homes was a family member who had their PHD in African American hair care. My mom did her best to teach us, but she missed the most important steps, which was to sprits the hair with water and to seal and lock the hair with an oil base product to keep the moisture locked in. So thank you for educating those of us who are missing certain steps when it comes to hair care. 👌 💘

@@ChristyGior8 I just meant that sometimes when blow drying product can weight the hair down, texture doesn’t play a huge role since the blowdryer is “straightening” or “blowing out their natural texture” . I have similar texture to your youngest one in the video and have been natural for about a year. But I did straighten my hair a lot before my natural hair journey and went through a ton of trail and error when blow drying as I learned my hair and which product worked best. It’s a never ending journey and your girls are lucky to have you 👸🏽👸🏽👸🏼

Just to inform you a little on the trimming our hair already grows at a slower rate than others so we only need a trim only once every 3-4 months sometimes we over cut and stunt growth and it may look like the hair isn’t growing but it just keeps getting cut but I love watching you do this your very educated

True, but unfortunately we live in a country that time is always too tight for most. Caring for natural care does consume a lot of time and doing protective styles is what we have to do when time doesn’t permit us to do our hair every day.
