I can't wait to see this. I especially can't wait for the soundtrack. Now I'm not a Daft Punk fan but what they produced for Tron Legacy was electronic awesomeness and they need to be brought back as well.
If they cannot be brought back at all, I think Joseph Trapanese could do great and I hope he returns from his collaboration on the TRON: Legacy soundtrack. He also composed for TRON: Uprising and the recent attraction TRON Lightcycle / Run.
I think we’ll hear themes from the first and second films, as well as new stuff. I’m sure Daft Punk will get paid for whatever they decide to use in the new film. I’m sure they will use a theme here and there from the first film’s score from Wendy Carlos too.
"I kept dreaming of a world where Tron 3 became a reality" and then it did! This will lead to more shows, toys, video games, the whole jallopi. Im so psyched for this I cant even contain it! END OF LINE.
With Jeff Bridges only showing up last Saturday for first day of filming and filming "wrapped up" on Tuesday, unfortunately it looks like only a small cameo part. Could be a flashback, could be CLU 3.0, or possibly he is the grid now. I doubt we will be see Heglund or Wilde back in Tron:Ares due to the filming officially wrapped. But here is hoping the post-production and CGI is off the shelf. Not the garbage that Disney has been putting out with Marvel and Star Wars. I still have high hopes for Tron:Ares - it being biodigital jazz, man!
Imagine that the voice of Jeff Bridges was just AI to make people believe that he was coming back. That would be so sad. But I'm so excited to see him in the new movieeee, more og actors should return.
Im extremely hyped for Jeff Bridges to return but after I heard the news I got curious and looked around to see if any previous cast members were returning and found a tweet from Bruce Boxleitner where he outright confirmed he wouldn’t be in the movie so a Tron movie with no Tron after hearing this my hype went down the drain I’m so tired of tron as a character being completely sidelined and muted and being swept under the rug then cancelled after a cliffhanger IN A FRANCHISE NAMED AFTER HIM
i know all worried about this movie for a lot of reason but i'd say we gotta trust the captain of the ship the director himself Joachim ronning and the rest of the crew, so far from what i see the people from the director, Jared, the other cast ando crew are an amazing talents in industry but they're a fan of Tron too, the director of Tron 1 work again on this one as producer and director of Tron legacy help Joachim on making this third installment to make sure the continuation is consistent so that's a good thing to know, I got hope for this and the fact that now they got Jeff back for this i believe they will do it right on this one.
What if he plays a Flynn/Clu hybrid? He got Flynn's wisdom but Clu's tyranny. And somehow Ares was able to get hold of it after the final battle in Legacy?
I’m glad Jeff Bridges is back, but I do have concerns about his use in the TRON property. I’m hoping it doesn’t set a precedent that a TRON movie can’t succeed unless Jeff Bridges is in it, otherwise it fails. Jared Leto people had concerns about, and I like to think I understand them but Jeff Bridges can’t save the day each and every time. Regardless I will be seeing TRON: ARES, and I will be looking to enjoy it. Disney, don’t let me down.
I think this will either be the finale, or it will set up future films. Either way, It will definitely be Jeff Bridges final Tron film. I hope that Daft Punk lets Disney use their previous themes throughout the film, along with a new score and new composer. I know they are not getting along with the retired duo, so it’s a wait and see I guess.
@@buster5661 I’d like to hear part of it, but then new stuff. 5-10% familiar music, 90% new music. I’m all for new music, but love hearing something from the previous film or even the first film. It’s that HERO theme I want to hear, usually it’s the main theme. It’s much like Star Wars or Superman, the hero triumphs over antagonist.
I kept dreaming of a world, where Jeff returns to Tron
And then one day…he got in man!
Tron: Ares has Wrapped filming
Jeff said, “I got in”
I think he’ll play Kevin, but he will be digital and non human, kind of like a lot of pixels put together.
or a ghost like Obi Wan
"that's right man. I got in"

Probably a construct like Johnny Silverhamd

Regardless of the news I'm still not gonna keep my hopes up. I'm glad Jeff is returning but with Disney's track record nowadays, I don't know.

Happy Bridges is returning, but still can't get excited for this unless Boxleitner is coming back. This is called TRON after all....
WE ARE SO BACK
FLYNN LIVES
RETURN OF THE KING
I just saw his post on FB...AND I CANNOT WAIT!!!!
Yess! I'm glad I'm not the only one who's excited about the practical sets!

If there is ONE thing that modern Disney doesn't utterly desecrate, PLEASE let it be this...
Pretty much a tall order. I don't trust Disney with anything nowadays, not even with its own franchises.
@@KnowYoutheDukeofArgyll1841 yeah I'm right there with you. I still hold out a sliver of hope, but I have zero faith in present day Disney.
Could be either Clu 3, or an AI program who has Kevin's consciousness, something like Tony Stark after his death.
The Grid rejoices today programs

Sam and Quorra next.
Back to be humiliated, subjugated and ridiculed like Luke, Indy, Bond, Thor, Peter Pan, Fett, Nick Fury, etc etc…
Cool, but much rather see Garret and Olivia back!
Leto is in too many things, imo
fun fact if you were alive in the 80's you would know this movie sucked then and still sucks today
I don't think it would change my perspective on the original 1982 film at all. I actually enjoy both movies equally and watch the original very often.
The fact ur lying to urself is crazy
Knowing how crap Hollywood is atm with all this Woke wankery going atm, I'm concerned it will be shit like so much these days.
