Hi Andy. Great video. Thanks for the mention. Credit for my basic "design" rests with the Charles Altmann "joke" tonearm. My 219 tonearm is really just a refinement of it.
Hi I am looking forward for a comprehensive build guide for the Carbo X and of course The Lil' Pucker Turntable !!! I would like to know what was the reason to choose dual beam solution instead of single beam as described at the Diyaudio Nanooks Thread ? With a single beam probably you will need to add only a 3d printed headshell probably a counterweight and a pivot point .
Thanks for the comment. Yes, a build vid will come soon. The dual beams were to mimic the first design I built out of wood and aluminum and also to have separate runs runs from the cart. Interestingly, I am planning to design a single beam as well. Just too much on the plate at the moment.😁Cheers.
Wondering what your research revealed about the benefits of the longer length and why you chose the length that you did? Janus of Real World Audio made a tone arm that looked to be 18 or even 24 inches? and made out of a bamboo rod? I confess that I haven't watched his video on it, as I never figured I get into vinyl but your DIY players and tonearms have me considering it; dang you. LOL
@@sjhorton1184 a 12" tonearm is a happy compromise between a standard 9" tonearm and a 16" transcription arm. Less distortion at the start and end of an album.
Nice job Doctor. Good production value and intrigued by the RC plane in the middle ground
Danke mein Herring! Had to have a wee bit of fun. And above all, no car speakers were harmed in the making.🤠
TALKIE !
I didn’t know I needed a turntable, but, now I know I’ve been missing out 😱
You know I can help!😁

But one heck of a refinement!😊
Nicely done!
