God bless you my brother! Man! You saved me a lot of money. Thanks again
Glad I could help
Thank you so much, couldn't have been easier! Your instructions were clear and concise, and I found the repair kit on e-bay for $7.95.
Glad it helped. Congrats on a good repair and thanks for sharing.
My Key turns inside of my cylinder, and luckily it failed in the open position because my key fob is dead, and I am actually going to attempt this with the help of your video. Wish me luck!
I'm glad you didn't have to break into it like I did. My fob worked but, with the vehicle battery dead, there was no response to the fob. Getting in was tricky for sure. Best of luck with the repair.
Thank you so much for this video - well demonstrated and very clear instructions. I recently locked my keys in the car while loading it ( just popping the rear hatch and not fully unlocking the vehicle) and my second key would not open the car and that is when i discovered the second key would not work either and the vehicle had dead locked it self. The recovery service did the usual air bag the door and try the pull the door latch on a wire and press the release on the central console to no avail. The only option was to smash the drivers side door glass (which is no mean feat as it is laminated!!). £170 for replacement glass.
Tony: Thanks for sharing the story.

Dude… THANK YOU for this video. So helpful, and the timing couldn’t be better! 🙏🙏🙏
You're Welcome. I'm glad it helped. I should have checked mine a long time ago. It's probably been broken since I bought it since I've never put a key in the lock until the battery went low. Tough way to find out the lock was busted! Thanks for sharing.
Great Video Thanks
Fantastic! Thank You! Mine is an '06, and needs this.
Even though it's a California car with mild climate things are getting old and worn out and need a refresh - replacement. From 96k miles to 144k miles I've done *Fuel Pump Assembly*Fuel Filter*Radiator*Water Pump*Headlights*DriverDoor Latch Cable*Suspension Compressor*Pillar A plastic Left and Right*AC Compressor*TieRodEnd* and so it goes 👍 I'll share this helpful vid on the RR forums too.
Congrats on knocking out a great laundry list. My first year repairs and maintenance kept me busy but it's been a good workhorse since. Thanks for the comment and thanks for sharing.
