What's good fellow musicians?! Are you using samples in your productions? Do you maybe even create your own samples? Let us know! As always I hope this video helps you to get creative and make more music!
Auto-sub when "royalty-free" was mentioned at the beginning because who wants to do extensive reading of licenses and terms of agreement per sample when in the end, you can't use a lot of those due to restrictions.
Nice! There's also BPM Create now which has a pretty solid library. It's not free but worth the money. I made a track with all BPM Create samples and posted it in a video.
its 2020 no one fuckin payin for samples, you tryna advertise. ive filled a fucking terabyte drive full of high quality samples, kits, packs all that shit, free.

hello there i just want to ask is soundpacks royaltyfree??? like can i make a beat out of it like their loops or free 808 can i use it to make a beat and a song and use it commercially im talking about my music thanks
Another producer hi! Can you please let tell is it legal to use cymatics samples for my own production? Like I added layers, Eq, reverb, added my own piano layers? Should i get copy right strike?
Thanks for this video. I will check out some of these sites. I'm a hobbyist working outside the hip-hop genre. I'm looking for samples of more traditional-sounding instruments: drums, bass, sax, piano, strings etc, that all have a warm, natural feel. Could you recommend some sites to check out? Thanks.
Hi Doug, Especially for melodic instruments I suggest you have a look at my best free instruments video. There you already have a bass, guitar and more. Spitfire Audio has a free orchestra library with high quality sounds. I hope this helps you. Cheers, Phil
so samples that come from the sources with the green checkmark behind royalty free are I can use for my music and upload it to spotify or something and sell it?
The majority of them are royalty free. There are only a few packs that aren't. At beatproduction for example there is a pack of Bob Marley samples which obviously aren't royalty free. But this is also mentioned in the license agreement which comes with the pack. Make sure to read them as well. I hope this helps you. Cheers, Phil
Hello there for example i make a beat and a song i use your loops or sample then i find out that someone use the same sample as mine he uploaded it on spotify can i still use that or can i still upload it on spotify no copyright strikes?? Thanks hope u answer Please
Hey yes you can! What you are explaining ist "royalty-free". And all of the sources in this video are royalty-free. However, I would suggest tweaking the samples to make them your own and fit your song. Not from a copyright standpoint, but from a creative standpoint.. Cheers, Phil
@@jonraja25 yeah exactly. Maybe you have a percussion loop that you want to integrate in your track. But maybe only at specific times and not on the whole frequency spectrum. So you can use a bandfilter and a gate or sidechain. Just an example. But just using raw loops probably won't sound good together :D

Exactly that is the reason for using royalty-free samples. The color system in the video can guide you in terms of which platforms are completely royalty-free. Some of them also offer sample packs that are not royalty-free. Always make sure to take a look at your license agreement, which normally comes with the packs. ;)
If you know how to play and record crisp and clean sounds that's absolutely true. However if you also know how to work with the tools in your daw you can alter samples to fit your needs. Because sometimes you cannot recreate the specific sound of a sample that you like to have in your song. Then it's easier to just take the sample and tweak it with pitching, stretching, transient designer or whatever is needed. Cheers, Phil

Hey I just wonder if these sites can be trusted. I wanted to download free samples on slooply but they asked me to make a free account first (which I did). But why is this needed if it’s just to download free things? Second thing: I looked on my ‘profile’ and I saw that my account will expire in one month. This lets me think to the « one month free then you pay without even knowing it »- tactic
WA productions is definately ok to use... its really good for free stuf too and you can unsubscribe from their newsletter qanytime and it is not always needed to subscribe to it :)
AYO Newloops is skank. I read full page of free sample pack links, and there is noted, that, yeah, well, U can *use* their sounds in your tracks, but these guys will own full copyrights! :/ Thanks for the video though! Despite that, it is still a gift from you that I appreciate!
What do you mean with registered? You can just drag and drop audio files into your project. If you want to have them within the media browser of Ableton, you have to select the folder of the free Samples as a media source folder in Ableton.
It's so annoying that most sample packs require some obscure action like subscribing you a UA-cam channel. That's not a great way to gain recognition, and it labels you as someone who is somewhat desperate for fame or an audience.
In most daws you can just drag and drop them onto your tracks. If you want to use a sampler to be able to play with samples via MIDI, you can check out TX16Wx. This is a free sampler VST (check out my best free VST plugins video). There you have a media browser on the left. You can drag and drop your samples from the media browser onto a piano roll and then play it via a MIDI device or your computer keyboard. I hope this helps you! Cheers, Phil

Any idea of where I can find smth like that?

The thing with samples is that they don't sound as crisp and clean as actually making the drums or sounds yourself
