POV: this is the video u were waiting for since u started music production
Literally
6 years, some even more
true
That would be Me😇👌
20 years waiting for this lol
The relevance of AI in music making has just become unstoppable. The ability to literally dig the depths of existing audio and incorporate new sounds in such unparalleled ways in going to change music forever... again!
It's going to ruin everything, remove all of the creative activities like drawing making music and writiting it's also gonna steal all our jobs or most of them
I been doing this going on 40 years now. I don't see these tools as lazy. I see them as a great way for the younger generation to break out of their comfort zone and get some new ideas going quickly. The one's to mimic someone else are useless though. I can't think of one single reason anyone would want to sound like someone else. Be yourself. Be unique. Remember, you never saw the Beatles, Earth Wind and Fire, LL CoolJ, or any of the other greats trying to mimic someone else.
You have motivated me. Big ups my man
Not trying to argue, or disagree but I do think that the counter argument to this point is just as useful when it comes to knowing where to start!
Obviously don’t carbon copy word for word note for note,
But if there is a sound you hear, or style of music really like, love and respect, there is also no shame in trying to understand what they’re doing, how they’re doing and how they made that sound!
Like if you wanna make dubstep, or be a guitar god, someone else has already done some thing similar and there’s no shame in learning from people who have already put the time in to master a style of sound that you really like and want to learn from.
It doesn’t necessarily mean copy or write their music and practice their songs,
But it does mean that being inspired by earth wind and fire to make a gloriously funky and high energy track isn’t a bad thing either,
So long as it’s got your touch on it, there’s really no shame in getting inspired to make something, like what some one else has already made,
Especially if you like it and want to get better at your craft in that direction as well!
Want to be a better musician, but don’t know what direction to go in,
Produce stuff that’s like the music that excites you at the moment! And see how well you can aspire to make stuff that sounds like the stuff you think is cool!
Equally as well though, what OP said is just as true, don’t put yourself in a box, and make anything you love the sound of, especially if you’ve never heard anything like that before!
Both can be really fulfilling experiments and contribute to your own progression as a musician! :)
Well put!
Ever heard of this little ol' rock band that copied/stole their way into larger than life world fame?
I think they were called Led Zeppelin...
@@xyzyzx1253 seems like somewhere along the thought process you got some things mixed up. The entire context of my post is in relation to the tools discussed in the video. In the video there is a tool that attempts to mimic other artist. Your post seems to confuse the direct mimicking of that tool with being inspired by other people. I stand by my statement. Be yourself. The tools that mimic other people are useless. What can anyone say the purpose of typing in words and hearing a simulated artist voice is doing that would be inspiring? If you want to study the artist do that. It may or may not be beneficial in your development. That is not something I can judge. Typing in words and listening to a computer generated fake voice will do nothing to further you development. That I know for certain. The artist I mentioned were certainly inspired by people they listened to. The never attempted to mimic anyone else. Neither should you unless you are a tribute artist. Hope this is more clear.
I was literally watching your making a beat with AI video when this came out. Your videos have help me come long way in my music production. Keep up the great work!
"No matter how good AI's gonna get, it can't make music for you" ... Man, this quote will not age well. Not only will it be able to make music that's just as good, it will surpass us in every way possible.
only if it becomes sentient
@@dawatcherz what do you mean 'if' ? There is 0 chance it won't.
it will age poorly... only 100 years later, AI Generated stuff while impressive does not have the creativeness yet which can only be done by sentience...
and the only form of sentience we have is chatbots with pretrained data so yeah.
@@YunethAlwis More like 8-10 years.
@@oskararnarson full sentience is a long way dude
I started using Vocs AI on my songs because I cant sing and now I dont have to hire a demo singer lol
you don't know how much you just opened up my mind.
Your energy is amazing !! You are great!!
That stem tool works pretty well, not perfect, but good enough to make transcribers lives easier or to use samples for remixes
It’s crazy how far technology has come these years, great video man ✨
I've been making music since the 90's when akai 2000 samplers where used which was very time consuming back then , I've just tried this A.I out to see what it can do and it wrote me a chord progression in seconds I'm blown away. 😎✌
Really interesting content! Excited to check these out for myself and see how far I can go with them. Thanks for the video Ed!
ed with another banger letsgooo
Well played! As a producer it never hurts to be aware of the latest tools and tricks in the game whether you use them or not.

The fact that Samplette brought up Xenoblade Chronicles shows that it has exquisite taste.

This was actually really helpful. Thank you so much I love the phrases one haha.
no way bro, I literally got an ad with you in it before this video started playing. What?!?!
Bro i loved your vibe! Keep up with it
Sick and very informative video dude! Thanks.
Fantastic video as always my man. So many useful tools in just 5 minutes. Just one thing about Magenta's interpolate function though. I don't think it works with mixing two audio files together, I think it's just midi. Been trying to figure it out for a while at this point, would love to be proved wrong
This video is good for understanding by foreign languages people! Respect!
Very helpful video thanks and i like how you laugh in between haha keep up the good work man appreciate your efforts
You missed Jukeblocks by Dylan Tallchief. It converts FL Studio to Ableton and vice versa, and it can make song structures for you.
You just earned yourself a sub. Great info!
Awesome video as always!
That S1 pack is the same as the one that Cymatix gave away a couple months ago. In case you already had it and don't want to download a duplicate (Its like 1.3 Gig) I thought I had a new batch of license free samples, but when I sat down to go through them, I realized it was the same one I already had; just from a different site. Good info in the video. Thanks! (Why are you talking into a handheld mustache?)
that youtube sample finder looks most interesting to me. looking forward to let it find some rare tunes

Hello Ed, could you tell us why you have changed the NI midi keyboard that you used to use for that of Arturia that you have lately? Thank you very much!!
amazing editing
Amazing Content 🔥🔥🔥
Great vid
I would say this is really something worthwhile only if we had access to a simple site for uploading songs or instrumentals, where we can remove voice and generate remix from two with options based on added tracks and window for writing in human language commands to change the final result.
Works, thank you boy
Number 9 is a game changer🔥
Thanks!
this is pure madness. cray cray off the deck
Man this is a god send
I love you bro, thanks
I definitely used number 6 for a producer tag, I chose grim from the grim adventures of billy and Mandy 🤣🤣🤣 and it was actually pretty good for the song I made
The singularity is near.
I Was Watching you video, then i got an ad that also shows you talking about tracklib, What a Coincidence :)
THANK YOU MISTER TALENTI
You are the G.O.A.T THANK YOU!!!! @EdTalenti
sing hum or whistle a melody and have the AI convert to a midi file. That´s what I need! I read there are some bad conerters out there so I needed on that is really good (that will get the notes right)
very cool thank you

Yo Yo.
I wanna say "realy tnx Bro"

You my man.. really tnx for your GOODVIBES..
Nice tutorial-5 Bro!
The Best video of the decade
Ah maan your subs are sweet !
ujam used to have a tool in which you could hum the tune in your head, then go to their dashboard, select an instrument e.g guitar/violin/sax/etc, and then hit the `convert' button. and, presto, your tune in your voice would be converted into guitar/violin/sax/etc. it was really cool and i believe that is the future of music. they took it off because i think it became so popular their other products were not selling. if anyone here knows of a tool like that, pls do let me know. cheers,
