But he pumped his stats so much A big New York Market picked him up and he made a lot more money. Ernie Anderson took over the Friday night show as Ghoulardi . About 1961, WINS flipped to rock ‘n’ roll, and Myers reverted to his “Mad Daddy” personna, and was fantastic. He was in competition with Murray the K, Cousin Bruce Morrow, Scott Muni and B. So glad to have seen the Cramps twice in Boston. One time at the Channel someone threw something at the stage. Lux went into the crowd and beat the kid over the head with his mike. It was epic!

I asked Google's AI to write a poem about Lux and this is what came out:
    Lux Interior, oh Lux Interior,
You were a sight to behold.
Your voice was like a banshee's wail,
And your stage presence was bold.
You were the king of the Cramps,
The band that shook the world.
Your music was a mix of punk and rockabilly,
And it was always a twirl.
    You were a true original,
    And you will be missed.
Your music will live on forever,
And your legend will never be dismissed.
So raise a glass to Lux Interior,
The man who never grew old.
He was a true rock and roll legend,
And his music will always be bold.

First time I saw The Cramps, Bryan Gregory was with them and they were supporting The Fall at Glasgow Tech students union....or was it the other way round?! Must have been 1980.....I think? One of the best gigs ever! Wish I'd bootlegged that one!
