Weather Extra: Chances of another La Nina

- On this week's Weather Extra, the last two winters were both under the influence of La Nina. What are the chances we’ll go into a ‘Triple Dip?’ First Alert Meteorologist Darren Peck says chances are likely, based on the early indication for this fall and early winter.

Pray for an El Nino year, we really need three in a row to end this drought, but even one will help.

Probably by late next year in 2023 will be going to El Niño pattern after La Niña fizzles out this Fall and Winter so your in luck for 2023-2024.
@@Jtyoutube2467 doesn't mean it will be a wet year. 1976-77 was El Nino and it was driest on record.
A perfect presentation which supports our understanding of who is best qualified to analyze the data from our Covid quarantine period and develop a effect plan which can be implemented immediately to effect the climate change we need. So I am requesting professionals like yourself help us understand of what the potential negative weather effects we would see so that we can develop a effective plan addressing these things

Pretty low especially if its a strong El Nino like we had in 2015 because El Nino releases lot of heat from the ocean and cause temperature to cool.

I love watching weather extra. I have a question. I’ve lived in the Bay Area my whole life and I’ve never heard of monsoon rain in this area. Is this new? Is it a new normal?

I have a saying. For as many days week's and months and year's of having a drought of no precipitation. There will come that year when your going to have rain for those days week's and months and year's that California missed. I believe that California is going to see alot of rain and snow soon like 90% cloudy everyday rain and drizzle and misty more rain heavy down pour rain those glaciers are melting and its probably fueling up for a crazy historical several year's of heavy precipitation. So El Ninã sets like a wall when it hits the California coastal area and that is very odd to me it diverts it to the north and not a tropical front from the south either not even 2 or 3 that heavy monsoon moisture is a no show in some parts but in California or Nevada or Arizona, New Mexico. These day's cherish them because your rain is coming and it will affect a lot of state's but it is what we need and then some x10 and that is Probably tooo much and that is a spooky thought.

2022-2023 will be a week La Niña event and last until February 2023.
So it's looking like a 3-peat for LaNina.
That negative phase PDO isn't doing us any favors either....
we cant have the impossible 4th la nina in a row. never happened and we dont want the drought and winter heat to continue anymore
El Nino is better, cause we won't have to worry about hurricanes in Florida

Lotta conjecture here. If it happens like he says, Texas remains dry and Arizona gets flooding. According to the weather service also, high C02 makes warmer Pacific. Which would be El Nino. So therefore C02 doesn't control the El Nino and LA Nina, but sub surface magma heating does. They can't have it both ways.

The problem isn’t if it’s wetter or drier. It’s the amount of people in California. It’s completely overly populated for the amount of water the state naturally gets.
You should go to college and take a course in rationality. You will learn about the many fallacies that people use to make irrational decisions.

That has nothing to do with it, people's homes and businesses use very little water compared to agriculture. The thirstiest crops are almonds and alfalfa. The alfalfa goes to feeding cattle. So find alternatives to beef, dairy, and almond milk if you want to help the drought.
Way too many people and too much of polluting agriculture.
