I remember this review got me to buy these. 2 years later working them up to 7 times a week 100s of rounds of bag work, pads and sparring and they show no signs of breaking down and are as good as new
I’m a amateur boxer, and I use rival for everything. They’re such a top notch company they have quality equipment. After watching this review I’m definitely getting these gloves!!
Great Review like always. In one part of the video you mention that you have also used them for punching bags. What is the feeling when you hit the bag? Do they offer good wrist and hand protection? Because I wanted to buy the rival rb10 intelli shock or the hayabusa t3 mainly for punching bag but I think I could also buy these rival rs100 and have a glove that would serve me a bit for everything since I have always loved this model. And finally, I have small hands, won't the minimum size of 14 oz be too big? I always wear 12 oz gloves
Im glad more people have been using Rival gear now days. I first started using Rival back in 2010 when no one really paid attention to them. I still have Rival gloves from 2010 that the exterior materials are still in good shape but the cushioning has been worn through is the only thing.
Nicholas Koob I have a pair. (RING TO CAGE) Quality glove well put together, stitching and leather is top notch, but the foam is super dense and it takes awhile to break in to the point where my fingers get a bit achy when doing heavy bag glove work. They are good for sparring.
I have a pair of GIL which used to be Zepol. I got them in 14oz but they weighed 18oz, the leather is great as far as durability but the break in period is causes your hands cramps and remains pretty stiff. Nothing about the gloves is water resistant, not the outside or the inside. The glove gets soaked and feels like a brick. The foam is hard and dense, pretty bad on your hands when throwing really hard shots and really bad on your sparring partner. The glove will last years but its a bad glove overall and definitely not worth the price at all. Those gloves take forever to dry even in front of a fan. It'll take 2 days for a full complete dry since the moisture gets inside the foam due to lack of lining.

Hi fit to box, just watched this review of rs100 gloves I have used rival for a while now I have the rb10 bag gloves in xl and the rs11v in 16oz and 18oz how do they fit compared to those I normally use the winning hand wraps and tape would value your opinion thanks from Greg.

@@Fit2Box Thanks. Been browsing online think I'm going to go for a Thai brand called "Raja's". They have a good rep and are also considerably cheaper than Rivals.
+1 to what @Sergio Ibara said. On top of that I’d also add that make sure you’re not using super thick hand wraps. That cause poor form and pain while punching too. Switched up my hand wraps and was experiencing pain in my wrists every time I struck the bag. But as soon as I went back to my old (thinner) wraps everything was fine. You want to be punching into the foam of the glove, not the the layers of wraps.

How's the smell like? Smell like synthetic gloves or more like genuine leather? Synthetic leather gloves usually smell like ass real fast.

I've destroyed all my leather rival gloves but all of synthetic rivals look brand new and some are near 2 years old.
Love all my Rival stuff, the super microfiber stuff like the rs100 does have a long break in period though.

Those gloves were used by oleksandr usyk when he fought bellew . A beauty of a glove
